Welcome to my first episode of The Horse Feed. This is really just an introduction and we will get into the nitty gritty as the weeks go on. Please consider subscribing. We will be talking about the good, the bad and the ugly of the horse industry among other topical horse related discussions. Feel free to contact me if you are passionate about a particular horse issue, subject or anything else horse related. We can then discuss an interview. Thank you so much. Julia

Julia Hyde, the owner of Cannon Farm Horse Rescue, has started a podcast to address abusive training methods and controversial issues related to horse training. She invites people to be interviewed on the show and plans to discuss various topics about horses. This is her first episode, which will be released weekly, possibly on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Julia encourages listeners to subscribe for notifications of new episodes. Well, good morning, everyone. My name is Julia Hyde. I run a very small horse rescue in Scotts Valley, California, called Cannon Farm Horse Rescue. We tend to rescue abused, neglected, and we also take in wild horses for training or either from when they're young or older ones, too. Anyhow, I wanted to start this podcast because I find that, or I'm finding more and more, that there's a lot of training that goes on that I would consider to be abusive, almost torturing the horse and taking advantage of the horse when the horse isn't understanding what is going on. And there's also a lot of backlash on social media of certain types of training, too, whether it be what I would consider training that is for the benefit of the horse or for the benefit of the horse, as opposed to training that is definitely not of benefit for the horse. So I want to get into sort of a few little controversial subjects if I can. It would be nice to have people on to interview about certain things to do with horses. And so I invite you to get in touch with me if you would like to be on the show. And I'd also like to talk about other things to do with horses, not just the good, the bad, and the ugly. So this is my first episode. I'm going to try and do it once a week, if I can, likely on a Tuesday afternoon, or it may change to Wednesday. But I will let you know. So please subscribe, or listen, or both. And hopefully I will see you next week. And yeah, actually, if you subscribe, you end up getting notification, I think, when a new episode comes out. So that's probably the best way to do it. But I don't know. I'm just getting started on this. So I'm just going to be playing it by ear. So thanks for listening to this. And as I say, I will see you next week. Thanks. Goodbye.
