20. Week 3 Reactions, 70 Points, Panic Time?

The San Francisco 49ers are currently one of the best teams in the NFL, with a 3-0 record. The New York Giants, on the other hand, are struggling and have not won a game yet. The Indianapolis Colts pulled off a close win against the Baltimore Ravens, who are dealing with several injuries. The Houston Texans earned a big win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have been underperforming. The Los Angeles Chargers narrowly beat the Minnesota Vikings in an exciting game. The AFC playoff race is wide open, with several teams still in contention for a wildcard spot. Hello everyone and welcome back to the play action podcast and today We will be breaking down my reaction to all of the week 3 NFL games. I apologize for not having an episode last week as I was sick But I am back in full force for this week. We're not even gonna get into any news or announcements at the top or anything We've got a hurry there are a lot of games to get to here, so let's get into it for week 3 First game it was actually almost a week ago now So you probably already know about this one But the San Francisco 49ers hosted the New York Giants on Thursday night football to kick off the week the San Francisco 49ers won 30 to 12 on the Niners side At this point they're probably the best team in the National Football League If I made a power rankings they would be at number one They're one of only I believe three teams that are three and oh the other two being the Eagles and the Dolphins So they're one of only those three teams that are still undefeated at this point in the season So, I mean it's gonna be interesting down the stretch to see if the Niners can keep it together If Brock Purdy can keep it together and get this going. I mean you look week one They dominated the Pittsburgh Steelers week two the Rams kept it close, but the Rams are actually pretty good this year We'll get into their matchup soon And they beat the Rams And then week three they dominate the Giants. So the Niners at this point are probably the best team in football For these New York Giants, I mean They're bad That's what it comes down to they are very bad. You look week one. They just got absolutely demolished By the Dallas Cowboys didn't even put any points on the board 40 to 0 And then and that was on Sunday night football national television and then week two they play the Arizona Cardinals and I mean they they were like they came back and won but it's the Cardinals who are Protecting at the number one overall pick and they had to have a comeback win to win 31 to 28 So that's already a little disappointing that they didn't just stop them and then week three they get crushed by the Niners This week they play on Monday night football against the Seahawks I'm sorry America that three of the first four weeks the Giants are on national television. I Apologize That you have to watch this team And that it hurts me just as much as it hurts you so the Giants are very bad Daniel Jones is not that good and Daniel Joe or a Saquon Barkley list New York Giants team is just not gonna be able to win football games and if Saquon plays this week I still think they lose but the Seahawks should have an easy win if Saquon Barkley is still out for this week I mean they the Giants just had no chance of winning a game without him at this point So glad they were able to keep him on lockdown So imagine what would be happening for this team if he had held out I mean just a terrible thought now moving on to Sunday's Slates we have the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens played each other And I mean this game went to overtime. It was very close It was a very good game and you look at it at this point The Colts did not have Anthony Richardson So that was an immediate disadvantage for them But they still come out and beat the Ravens in overtime 22 to 19 I Mean as a Ravens fan the first loss of the season always hurts But uh, I can confidently say the Ravens should have won this game You look, you know if you watch to the game Justin Tucker Straight up just like didn't have the leg to make like I think it was like a 57 yard kick or something It was weird since he made a 66 yarder before and he's almost automatic from that range So, uh, it was it was confusing And almost bewildering how Tucker missed that kick that would have probably iced the game at that point but uh, I Mean then in overtime, they would have had a first down in Tucker's field goal range Could have just grinded down the clock or even just not really that clock didn't matter at that point But it's a little more yardage to make it even more manageable kick the field goal and get out of there But they flowers there was an egregious no call on a pass interference that That really just killed the Ravens chances at winning this game just killed it so, uh Yeah, the Ravens should have won this game The Colts didn't play. Well Zach Moss in relief of Jonathan Taylor has rushed for I mean over a hundred yards in this game I'm 30 carries Minshew honestly looked pretty good It was definitely a challenge and you look at this team Anthony Richardson played fantastic his first game played fantastic for the first half of the second game before he Got hurt the Colts are now two and one. They actually won without him. They're expecting to get him back this week So I look at the Colts as a team that are gonna be pretty competitive and pretty good this year So it'll be interesting to see how the Colts develop and change as the year goes on for the Ravens. I Mean they're hurt right now. They are hurting And I mean you look at their starters that are out or miss this game Marlon Humphrey Marcus Williams a Jaffe away Jk Dobbins Ronnie Stanley Tyler Linder bomb all these guys are missing these games Odell Beckham jr Um, they didn't have Mark Andrews week one at least they have him back now, but he was kind of a non-factor in this game surprisingly, so They hope to get some of those guys back soon But even a job Oh got hurt in this game Gus Edwards got banged up in this game Justice Hill they were missing this past week. So they're just getting destroyed by injuries and I hope That they could get this team back together the next few weeks These Most of these injuries are not long-term as we know Dobbins out for the season Marcus Williams out for most of it But the rest of these injuries are not long-term injuries. They should get these players back relatively soon So I'm hoping the Ravens are able to turn this ship around because their offense Honestly, look does not look good right now. Lamar is fumbling the ball like there's no tomorrow He's not able to make clear decisions He's seems just just like Confused and bewildered in the pocket. Just not comfortable Scrambling around frantic trying to be the hero. This offense just does not look good right now So we're lucky to be two and one should have been three at O and I I hope we can figure it out here moving forward next one o'clock game the Houston Texans Traveled to Jacksonville to play the Jacksonville Jaguars This game was weird the Texans got the win, I don't know the exact score Let me look that up real quick, but Texans got a big win it was a multiple score deficit the Jags faced as a final and It's a Weird to think about the Jags are actually bad like that's weird to think about final scores 37 to 17 the Jags lost by 20 points. Oh my goodness They're terrible They're they're they're not good If you watch Trevor Lawrence play football, it makes you sad if you have one of your fantasy team It makes you want to quit fantasy Entirely I've gone through it but They got the Jags offense was terrible last week. Yes, chief They were terrible this week against the Texans and Houston gets a big win for CJ Stroud's first career victory and This is a big deal Because CJ Stroud right now Texans are contenders in this division The Colts are actually in first, but the Texans are definitely contenders because they look good. They actually look legit Their offense looks good. Their defense has actually been Holding a little bit. They got this win without their best corner and Derek Stingley. He was inactive for this game with an injury so For the Jags, I mean, they've got to figure it out They came out week one with a big win over the Colts looked great Since then they've looked terrible so The Jags have to figure something out if there could have any shot at making a deep playoff run like they want to this year I and then I look at the Texans side and as I said before the season they are playoff contenders I can tell you right now CJ Stroud looks legit in my opinion He's the favorite for rookie of the year right now on offense And he's legit, so I think that At this point the Texans got to be one of the favorites they look To actually get a wild-card spot in the AFC you look at it The Jets without Aaron Rodgers look terrible. The Chargers are 1 & 2 at this point. Their defense can't stop anybody They're not playing as well as we thought the Bengals you look at the Bengals. They're 1 & 2 and their win Was an ugly win so I mean there's some teams that we expected to be good this year that just aren't performing So and then the Jaguars or another team they're 1 & 2 they looked bad With these teams that aren't performing It's just it's a Opens the door for some other teams to hop it on in And you look at the teams that in my opinion are really lost for playoff spots and we're only three weeks in they're making the playoffs the Dolphins the Bills the Chiefs the Ravens and end of list The rest the AFC in my opinion is wide open outside of those four teams who look pretty good through these first few weeks, so it's just It's gonna be interesting to see if the Texans can snag a wild-card spot because I think they can at this point but I wouldn't be shocked if they do the Los Angeles Chargers played the Minnesota Vikings in two battle The battle of two oh and two teams and this game was exciting 28 to 24 was your final score the Vikings or I'm sorry the Chargers narrowly beat the Vikings This was fun to watch I Had with Sunday ticket the four games on because I wanted to watch the Ravens But I also wanted to check out some of the other top games So I had Ravens Colts Chargers Vikings Falcons Lions and then bills commanders all on and So all in a four set in this game. I was focusing on the Ravens, but this game was fun to watch You see Herbert and cousins marched down the field against each other to great offenses to struggling defenses And this game is practically a playoff game you look at the statistics since 2000 only one NFL team that has started oh and three has made the playoffs and that is the 2019 Houston Texans, so When that was when they had to Sean Watson, so When I look at it the Vikings, I mean a lot when they are better than their record last year They were winning all their one-score games this year. They're losing all their one-score games. So It will be different They will get better as the season goes on But their defense is really struggling. So the Vikings opposed the Vikings fan. I wouldn't be too worried You still have a good playoff chance Or not like a great playoff chance, but you still have a playoff chance Which is not something I can say for other oh and three teams like the Bears or the Broncos or he's like that. So Meanwhile on the Chargers side good to get a win maybe saves Brandon Stanley for like this week Chargers fans are always mad at him. He's not a spectacular coach, but he's good enough He's not terrible. So Big win for the Chargers Herbert looks great Cousins looks great and maybe the Jets will trade for Kirk Cousins I don't know just throwing it out there. Speaking of the Jets the Jets played the New England Patriots this week and What was the huge game for? Jets fans Zach Wilson The Jets came out week one Aaron Rodgers got hurt on the first drive and the Jets somehow still managed to beat the Bills But then week two they got murdered by the Cowboys This was a huge game for Zach Wilson to see if he could be legit for this year one last rodeo with him and I mean, it wasn't all his fault. The Patriots beat the Jets 15 to 10 It wasn't all his fault. His line played atrocious. They couldn't run the ball with cook or breeze Hall So it wasn't all his fault, but it also He didn't play very well So, uh, it'll it'll be interesting to see what they do going forward. I'm telling you they trade for Kirk Cousins. They're a Super Bowl contender Will do they have the cap space to manage that? I don't know but I mean I'd even trade a first for Kirk Cousins in this point if I'm New York because you have it because they're Rogers not playing 70% of snaps or whatever it is because he's hurt so Green Bay will not have the Jets first round pick They'll have a second round pick So you could trade your first sellout on this year's draft and just get a quarterback that just for one year That you know can take you to a Super Bowl So just throwing it out there for Jets fans cuz Zach Wilson just not the answer at this point. He's not looked good We might even see some Trevor Simeon and they play on Sunday night football in front of all of America against the Chiefs I mean, are you almost feel bad for the guy? Cuz that's gonna be an ugly game Chiefs are gonna kill them but um You know, let's feel bad for the guy cuz he's still a human and you see him walk off the field and he just he looks so Zach Wilson looks so defeated just like He's like just done and when you watch him play he looks a little scared like he doesn't look he's lost all of his confidence and I don't know if you've seen the viral video of Jets fans screaming some explicit stuff at him and head coach Robert Sala One of the comments was hey Zach these tickets ain't cheap Which is true The fans are going there to see their team win and they're not winning right now. They're not playing well, but at the same time He's human. So you gotta have some compassion for that. But uh on the Patriots side of the ball I mean they got their first win of the year Against the divisional rhyme or division rival Those are always a little sweeter and the Patriots. I mean they're playing good defense right now You saw that judan was just an unstoppable force in this game how to safety I believe to which was kind of weird, but uh He was just incredible and Mac Jones. He didn't have a great game The offense didn't have a great game the Jets defense shut him down for the most part But uh, they able to score just enough points and they can squeak by Zach Wilson's Jets, so uh spiraling for the Jets just Still not sold on the Patriots. This wasn't their best game. In fact of the three games they lost in their first two games Did the Patriots probably played the worst out of any other three games in this game and they got their only win So it's interesting something to think about going forward with New England Moving on to our next game the Tennessee Titans played the Cleveland Browns and the Browns just absolutely murdered the Titans This game wasn't close. I believe the score was 30 to 3 or something like that. This game was not close No, Nick Chubb. No problem. Well, obviously that's not fair Nick Chubb is by far. Well miles Garrett exists, but definitely the best player on that offense maybe the whole team the only guy that would be competing with them is miles Garrett, but um Obviously they are worse, but they didn't look at today their defense is incredible It's one of the best in the NFL and they're gonna be a force to play against every week that defense The Sean Watson had a surprisingly good game after looking terrible and pretty much every game. He's played for the Browns He had a good week this week. I believe he was 27 of 31 Threw for over 200 yards had a couple touchdowns Didn't turn the ball over. So it was a nice. It was a nice game for the Sean Watson drove board terrible yards for carry but scored two touchdowns, so This offense in this especially this defense are now rolling a little bit the offense is playing just good enough that the defense could win the football games and It'll be interesting going forward to see how they play what they do And how this goes for Cleveland for Tennessee. I Don't know what happened Cuz at this point Do you think of how are the Tennessee Titans gonna win games? Oh, well, Derek Henry Derek Henry's gonna win Yes, Derek Henry had 17 snaps in this game. He usually has more than 17 carries He had 17 snaps Paje Spears was on the field for most the game and it's not like oh He got like all the reps in the first quarter and then maybe got dinged up and didn't play the rest of it It was spread out throughout the whole game He was on the injury report in practice this week. So maybe they were limiting him I don't know, but Derek Henry also was terrible on his yards for carry just didn't look like the same player So and he's their whole team Tannehill's not good right now Hopkins isn't looking good Traylor Burks isn't doing much their defense isn't playing great Derek Henry used usually their whole team and he's not even getting snaps right now and Taj a Spears looks good, so The Titans got to figure something out though. They just got destroyed by the Browns absolutely demolished So it'll be interesting to see what they do going forward All right, our next one Oh clock game the Detroit Lions Played the Atlanta Falcons and they got a huge win 20 to 6 Atlanta on offense just did not play. Well, they couldn't run the ball. They couldn't really throw the ball They couldn't do anything on the offensive side of the ball alive looked terrible Ritter was under pressure every play Just the offense for Atlanta looked awful in this game It was hard to watch this offense and the score reflects that only six points for Detroit Not their best game. They didn't run the ball, especially well They weren't hitting on all cylinders on offense. They still got a steady win because their defense played great especially that pass rush which is looking incredible right now led by Aiden Hutchinson and then on Offense they had a couple nice pass plays headlined by a long touchdown to the rookie Titan Sam Laporta So, uh, that's all I've really got for this game Terrible day for the Atlanta Falcons offense defense has shown some strides they're playing pretty well through a couple weeks, but the offense they got to figure some stuff out out there in Atlanta and For the Lions not a perfect game, but got a win. Nonetheless off the heels of the defense to good defensive performances The Lions are just good enough on offense to where the Falcons were just terrible on the offensive side of the ball The Green Bay Packers played the New Orleans Saints this week and actually the Packers beat the Saints 17 to 16 There's a lot to talk about with this game. It's a lot to unpack if you watch the game Saints had a 16 to nothing lead at the half They were just Packers weren't even in it. They look terrible. They weren't in it Third quarter Derek Carr gets hurt in the fact at the end of the second quarter Actually ended up going to a hospital as a precautionary measure. It was a neck injury I believe so they were checking him out. He's out for the rest of game probably actually could be out this week against Tampa So Tayson Hill was taking those naps a quarterback eventually famous Jameis Winston. Mr. Crab Legs himself comes in and plays Saints don't score another point and Then the Packers Come back Just like what happened to them last week when they lost to Atlanta And Atlanta was down big and came back and won the game Green Bay this week came back and won the game against New Orleans And I mean if I'm being honest with you starting on the Packers side of the ball Jordan love looks good man. Jordan love looks like a seasoned veteran And I think the Packers first it was far then it was Rogers now we're having a Far to Rogers effect here with Rogers to love Love looks really good He's establishing himself already as a top half of a quarterback in the league now He gets to play a prime time this week on Thursday night football against the division rival Lions So this will be an interesting game. This will be a bit of a prove-it game almost for Green Bay So it'll be interesting to see how they're able to respond and how they're able to play this week because I mean I Think they're gonna play great. I Think that Jordan loves legit I think the Packers probably I think the Packers win that game honestly And I think the Packers have a good shot at winning the division. We were all worried about him. No Aaron Rogers It's not the Packers division anymore. Yeah, it is Packers still rule this division so I Mean Jordan love looks great. The line is good They didn't take one can't have this comeback win without Aaron Jones and Christian Watson Who might come back this week Thursday night football? So It'll be interesting to see if those two players do come back Give me the Packers in a narrow victory if they don't it's a little closer I think give me the Lions in a narrow victory. So I'm a little 50-50 right now. I'm leading towards the Packers, but they played great for the Saints Not their best game They played great the first half looks like they were scoring every single play Olave made another insane catch and they were looking great Derek Carr gets hurt Suddenly the offense just collapses without Derek Carr And Derek Carr's not gonna play this week So at least I'll have a week to game plan with Jameis But just could not move the ball on offense Kendrick Miller could not run the ball Jameis could not throw the ball Nothing was going right for this, New Orleans Saints team and suddenly the defense stopped playing Well, and Jordan love was able to come back. They had played fantastic in the first half Just couldn't keep up when the offense wasn't scoring points. Eventually. They were gonna allow Jordan love to score a little bit And the Packers won the game without Derek Carr the Bucs probably win this week in the Saints fall to two and two I Will get to the Bucs Eagles game in a little bit, but I like the Bucs right now I think they're gonna be good and I think the Saints probably lose that game if car doesn't play and it's trending Towards that direction. So I don't be interesting to see if he plays the Miami Dolphins Played against no one. They got a free one. No, they played the Denver Broncos this week But I mean, it's one of the same at this point. They pretty much played nobody I mean if you watch this game the Dolphins beat the Broncos 70 to 20 70 points for the Dolphins the most points since 1966 where 72 was put up so I mean It's this this was just incredible. This was an unbelievable performance Raheem most are to divide a chain. There are two running backs that were active in this game with Ahmed and Jeff Wilson hurt combined for seven touchdowns Seven Maybe it might have even been eight. It was seven or eight I mean, that's an insane number a chain went over 200 yards Raheem. Most are I was close to 200 total yards He both were very involved in the receiving game This was just the Dolphins to I didn't even have to do like anything in the second half Mike White was playing most of the game actually, so, uh, he even threw a touchdown to Robbie chosen is his name now. So I mean they were just hitting on all cylinders play great and I mean I Say the Niners are the best team in football right now Dolphins are probably number two and they're making a run at number one They're playing unbelievable And on the Broncos side, they're terrible. I mean, they're bad bad Their defense at least you can rely on being good keeping the games close this atrocious offense But the defense even sucks now and especially against the run So it's it's tough to see this getting any better I don't think that the Broncos I Don't think the Broncos win five games this year It's tough they're all in three now Sean Payton isn't really doing anything for him. So Calling Nathaniel hack at a terrible coaching job. He's not doing much better right now So the Broncos are a dumpster fire at this point the season. That's really all I've got to say of them moving on the Buffalo Bills played the Washington commanders In this game as this is the final one o'clock slate game That we have to break down this game Well, the Bills won 37 to 3. I think that's all I even really need to say about this game the score It was one-sided all the way through it was never close Sam Howell through four picks some of them were his fault Some of them weren't the Bills were getting insane pressure on this offensive line who? Didn't really play Receivers weren't really getting open. It was just a bad day for the commanders overall They got three points at the very end to avoid a shutout It was just it was very bad if you're a commanders fan, it's not gonna be like this every week I mean they started to it. Oh, so wipe this game from your memory move on to the Eagles this week That's a tough one and then but you can the Eagles defense is very good But you could put up some points against the Eagles still For Buffalo another dominant win they killed the Raiders last week. They killed the commanders this week So just showing that maybe the Jets game was more of a fluke, especially with Josh Allen and they were playing a really good defense So and the commanders defense is no like slight like it was really the Bills defense that stepped up and won this game Commanders defense didn't even play all that bad It's not like the Bills were marching down the field every drive the commanders offense just could not stop turning the ball over So it'll be interesting to see what happens with Buffalo. They have an actual real challenge this week in the Miami Dolphins So it'll be interesting to in fun to watch that game and Buffalo another dominant win commanders fans. It's not gonna be like this every week flush this one from your memory Moving on the Carolina Panthers played the Seattle Seahawks as we kick off talking about our three four o'clock slate games No, Bryce young in this one. He was out with an ankle injury And Andy Dalton stepped in and actually led the offense pretty well out of dealing at a nice game, but on the Seahawks still one handedly Starting with the Seahawks side Kenneth Walker played great and The DK Metcalf had a nice game Walk it overall. This is just a great game for Seattle They were hitting on all cylinders on offense and defense Playing a very good game and Seattle gets the two and one showing week one was more of a fluke And by the way, just just real quick about Gino Smith Everyone he's been I will say it he's been terrible his whole career then last year comes along and I mean last year he was really really good for Seattle and everyone's like this off season Oh, that was just I was just a bit of a fluke He's not gonna be able to keep it consistent and then week one He comes out and just plays terrible against the Rams just plays awful and I was like see I told you so Then he comes out and beats the Lions 37 to 31 in overtime and then kills the Panthers And suddenly everyone's like, oh, maybe Gina's just good And he just wasn't used right was in bad systems Just one especially with the Jets. So Maybe Gino's just good And that's where we're out with Gino Smith at this point. Yeah, I think he's just good I think he's just a good quarterback and he's very likable too. I mean you watch the clip of him hyping up Jackson Smith and Jigma On the sideline. He's just a great fun guy. So Moving on to the other side of the ball the Panthers if I'm a Panthers fan, I'm on full alarms blaring red alert Things are not going well out in Carolina And this is hard to watch these teams right now They're not playing good They're not playing good football And I look at this game and I go this was his out or number one pick any don't by the way played better than Bryce young he did I will say it right now Bryce is a rookie He's looked terrible through two weeks against the Falcons and the Saints. He's looked terrible Any don't look better in this game in my opinion. You got to get Bryce out there This is a rebuilding year just to progress your young quarterback. You got to get out there. You got to get ripped They're actually trying to win. They should throw any gold out there But they're not they're trying to develop their young quarterback. That's the right call so What they got to do is really Bryce is not playing all too. Well He's not Playing like a good QB So what you got to do at this point is just ride it out with him. He's expected to play this week You're not gonna win much this year. You gotta understand that Panthers fans be patient Bryce young isn't gonna be great right away CJ Stroud Anthony Richardson played great right away. Bryce young has shown you he's not gonna be able to do that You've got to develop you've got to chill out. That's the that's my number one advice for Panthers fans. Chill out, dude You'll be you're gonna be fine. You're in great hands with Frank Reich and Bryce. Yeah, you're fine So moving on from that game the Chicago Bears Play the Kansas City Chiefs. I don't even know if I would call it play because the Chiefs beat them 41 to 10 Taylor Swift was in attendance as everyone knows at this point unless you just have been like under a rock for like a week You know, Taylor Swift was in attendance. There's some rumors about her and Kelsey. This is a pop culture podcast this is a football podcast and from a football perspective starting with the Chiefs, I Mean their offense looks like it usually does with Patrick Holmes, but more importantly to me their defense looks incredible Week one you look at that. They allowed 24 points to the Detroit Lions Well, one of those touchdowns was Brian branch pick six that they could do nothing about They the Lions won't be really allowed one long or the Chiefs only really allowed One long drive by the Lions in that game. It's going to touchdown. Well, there's a that they stuffed them a lot and Week two they held Jags only nine points week three. They hold the Bears only ten points That what they're only touchdown coming in garbage time, but it didn't matter so I think the Chiefs defense at this point is just legit or just a good team and I expect them to continue to play well and continue to keep just just destroying teams That's what I expect And I mean they play the Jets this week on Sunday night football Zach Wilson dude Watch out this defense is playing out of their mind right now on offense. They look like a Patrick Mahomes led She's team. There's not really much to say about that On the Bears side Bears fall to oh and three and this is a problem at this point the Bears are not playing good Justin Fields looks terrible. They're oh and three now losses to the Packers Bucks and she The offense is playing bad. The defense is playing bad the new free agent signings don't look like they were for anything Justin Fields isn't developing. He's not looking any better So if I was a Bears fan, I'm in full panic mode about Justin Fields I don't know if Justin Fields is the Bears quarterback after this year. I don't know So it'll be interesting to watch that situation unfold So but for right now, they're playing terrible the Arizona Cardinals play the Dallas Cowboys in a game We all expected just be a blowout win for the Cowboys. Well, the Cardinals won 28 16 Josh Dobbs looked great this defense that has played so well through two weeks This defense in two weeks only allowed three points this week. They allowed 28 to Josh Dobbs So, um this defense fell apart the offense led by Dak looks bad Dak We had a chance to make it a game through a pick at the end of the game starting on the Cardinals side They still if I'm a Cardinals fan, I still want to lose. I want Caleb Williams. I want Marvin Harrison I want some of these pieces, but it's got to feel good to be Cowboys On national television But for the Cowboys, there's more implications than there are for the Cardinals, by the way, James Cotter looks really good But uh for the Cowboys, there's a little more implications This team that we thought was just incredible we thought they were gonna just be otherworldly this year They're not They their defense played well week one of week two did not play good this week Dax Honestly has not looked incredible to me this first two weeks Didn't look great to me this week. The offense in general did not look great to me those first two weeks They just looked good enough to get by with such a strong defense in this week They kind of showed their true colors I think the defense will be better than they were this week That was a bit of a fluke in that regard, but the offense watch out Cowboys fans. There could be some trouble brewing here Now moving to the Sunday night football game The Las Vegas Raiders in Pittsburgh The game where everyone on Social media was trolling Josh McDaniels for forgetting that the two-point conversion is a thing Saying it's still a two touchdown game for us without that field goal He forgot two-point conversions are a thing. I guess I don't know. He's not a good coach the Steelers won this one The offense starting with their Steelers side the offense looks better they did they looked a lot better than they have The defense is still on another planet. They're still playing insane TJ. Watts still playing insane Alex Highsmith all these guys just playing insane This is without Cam Hayward on the Offensive side of the ball. They looked better picket played better. They ran the ball better They have to get Jalen Warren more involved at this point. Najee just does not look good and Jalen Warren looks explosive You got to get Jalen Warren more involved. The line is looking like just fine. They're good enough Kenny Pickett played solid in this game. This is his best of the three weeks so far And the Steelers get another win they get the two and one surprisingly They're not a team when you think of how they've played this year You don't think of the Steelers as a two-in-one team, but here we are got destroyed by the Niners week one Narrowly lost or narrowly won an ugly game week two against the Browns narrowly won an ugly game against the Raiders week three so Steelers are winning games off the back of their defense right now, but the offense didn't play better in this game for the Raiders Josh McDaniels, you gotta fire him dude fire Josh with death Maybe not right now. He feels like a midseason firing though, cuz he's his coaching is just atrocious There they fall to one and two Narrow win over the Broncos. It's our terrible week one Got just destroyed by the Bills that a narrow loss the Steelers haven't played great week three Jimmy G's and concussion protocol may not go this week So, uh, it'll be interesting to see what happens with the Raiders, but uh Jimmy G's not looking great. Josh McDaniels not coaching. Great. The Raiders are in turmoil. So they can't run the ball, by the way I don't know what's up with that Josh Jacobs just cannot run the ball at all right now after being the rushing leader last year, but Davante Adams looks insane. That's the bright spot. If you're a Raiders fan, just get your Davante Adams jerseys and roll with it He might get traded at the midseason mark if they're not playing well, but uh, he's your only bright spot right now Max Crossy's pretty insane as well. So those two guys are your bright spots right now Moving to our doubleheader on Monday the first game Philadelphia Eagles traveled to Tampa Bay to play the Buccaneers both teams were 2-0 You kind of expected that of the defending NFC champion Eagles but the Bucs 2-0 have Beat some pretty good teams here, too. So uh, it was interesting to see that they were 2-0, but um They kind of just got just beat in this game. The Eagles offense is still not playing at their full potential They're not playing like we saw last year. They're playing good enough to get by they're 3-0 now They're one of three teams in the NFL. They're 3-0 The only other two with them are the Niners and the Dolphins But their defense played great in this game shut down Baker Mayfield for all but their last drive and they're off like this played just Good enough to get by Eagles fans. I'm not worried celebrate. You're great The Bucs there's more implications for Tampa Bay than there are for Philly in this game They followed two and one. I'm still not worried cuz Rashawn white looks good. The line is still holding up Baker despite only scoring one touchdown this game. He looks good He looks very good. The receivers are still good. The defense is still good this team I'm still fine if I'm a Bucs fan cuz Baker's playing well as long as Baker's playing well, this team plays well Baker's not playing. Well, they're like the Jets the great team with a bad quarterback But they're not the Jets because Baker is playing better than Zach Wilson So I'm not worried if I'm a Bucs fan And I am actually pretty excited to see what this team can do this year our last game to break down the Los Angeles Rams Played the Cincinnati Bengals the Bengals ended up winning 19 to 16 off a bunch of field goals The Rams offense. Well, let's start with the Rams. I guess the Rams offense as they fall to wanted to Look, they're worse. They looked great through the first two weeks. The defense played great at all three games in my opinion, but uh This week suddenly the Rams offense shut down could not play football and that's why they lost But this upcoming week week for might be there last week without Cooper Cupp because he's eligible to get activated after this week so it'll be interesting to see that how Cooper Cupp plays it in the offensive puka the Kua and Tutu Atwell and Karen Williams all these guys. We didn't expect to be great playing very well for them So it'll be interesting to see that but not many implications for the Rams. They'll be fine They're still playing good Stafford still playing good. They have playmakers for Stafford. So So breakout players so and they'll be getting cut back soon I'm not worried if I'm a Rams fan bigger implications was for the winning team the Cincinnati Bengals Who they won the game, but they still look terrible Burroughs still looks very bad Struggling with the calf injury, but he still looks very bad He was able to get the ball to Jamar chase a lot this game just force fed him the ball Especially with T Higgins getting dropped get or not getting dropped dropping the ball getting her hurt a little bit But uh, it was very very sad to watch how the Bengals have just kind of fallen apart as an offense I don't know what's going on, but burrow got paid and Just got out kind of Pete said peace out. I'm done here. It's not playing well So if I Logan Wilson, by the way, congrats, dude You are one heck of a player the Bengals defense continues to play pretty well but uh if I am a Bengals fan, I'm very very worried. I'm very worried about this team and I don't know if they're good enough right now to be able to Contend for a Super Bowl. I don't know if they're that team. So it will be interesting to see if they end up figuring it out odds are they will but uh It will be interesting to watch that the season that will do it for the play-action podcast guys We're here in 45 minutes here.
