In this podcast episode, the hosts discuss the breakdown of Week 4 games in the NFL. They talk about the Detroit Lions' victory over the Green Bay Packers, highlighting the Lions' strong performance and their potential to compete with top teams. The hosts also analyze the Jacksonville Jaguars' win against the Atlanta Falcons, praising the Jaguars' defense but expressing concerns about their offense. They then discuss the Buffalo Bills' dominant win over the Miami Dolphins, noting the Dolphins' offensive struggles and the Bills' strong performance by Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. Finally, they mention the Denver Broncos' comeback victory against the Chicago Bears, questioning Justin Fields' ability as a starting quarterback. Hello everyone and welcome back to the PlayAction podcast. Today we're going to be talking about our week 4 breakdown of the entire slate that happened this past week. A lot to jump into here, but we're now about a quarter of the way through the season, a little less, but um, and I mean, this is the current of the week, after this week 4 week that teams are established, are they good, are they bad, how do we really think about them, and that's really what this week really established. So without further ado, let's jump into this a little bit. It was interesting to see exactly how these games went down, starting with the Thursday night game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. The Lions actually ended up beating the Packers in this game, pulling up the score 34-20. The highlight of this one was David Montgomery running the ball, had 32 carries for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns, and the Lions get a 3-1 on top of their division. Real takeaways from this one, really this game, it was an interesting one to watch because it was, the Lions obviously got off to a 27-3 victory at the half, and then just kind of ran away with it in the second half. This game was not as close as the score makes it sound like. So the Lions dominated in this game, and the real takeaway is the Lions are a top team in the NFL right now, they can beat whoever they want. They can take down the top teams in the NFL, they can beat the Niners, they can probably beat the Cowboys, they can beat the Dolphins, they can beat some of these top teams, they've already beat the Chiefs, so they can take down these top NFL teams, and for a team that's around the middle of the league, they just destroyed them. So the Lions are also 2-0 away right now, they've been really winning in those away games, so big game for Detroit. If you're a Lions fan, I have a couple friends that are Lions fans, I mean, it's obviously you guys know one of them, but they're excited right now, they think they have a legit Super Bowl chance, and honestly, at this point in the week, NFC, getting past the Niners, Eagles, and Cowboys is going to be difficult, but I can see them doing it, I put them right up there with those teams. So it'll be interesting to see what happens as this season goes on for the Lions. Who are the Packers? I actually had them winning this game in a close one, so I think that they really could, I thought they really could level up and take the lead in this division race, but obviously they proved me wrong. They went out there and said, hey, Detroit's the better team. So I still believe in them, I still believe in Jordan Love, 246 yards, a touchdown, two picks, also had a rushing touchdown, I believe, but that's Jordan Love right now, he looks good, this game he looked fine, he just had no help from his Lions, his Lions were terrible, the Lions pass rush was killing him all day, and the Lions played great defense, that was really the winner of this game, the Lions defense, so yeah, big victory for the Lions. Moving on to Sunday, we had our first international game of the season, the Jacksonville Jaguars played the Atlanta Falcons in London, and the Jags got the victory, 23-7, biggest takeaway for Atlanta is what we'll start with, is Desmond Ritter looked terrible, Desmond Ritter looked like he couldn't even play quarterback in the National Football League, he looked atrocious, so it's hard to look at the Falcons the same way, I mean, they started 2-0, and really at this point, it's tough to see them really even getting to 7 wins, how bad Desmond Ritter is playing, it's hard to envision that, so I don't know, this week they play Houston, who's not a good run defense, they can run the ball really well with Bichon and Algier, but if they ever are behind in a game early, and have to rely on Ritter's arm, it's just not going to get it done for this team, they're never going to be a team that can pass the ball efficiently, Kyle Pitts has never gotten anything started in his career, and Drake London can't really do anything with this quarterback play, it's just really frustrating if you're a Falcons fan, to not have a quarterback that can get it done after having Matt Ryan for all those years. For the Jags, the defense played incredible for Jacksonville, the defense played awesome, they looked great out there, they looked like they knew what they were doing, and really came into their own as the game went on, and they forced a bunch of turnovers on Ritter, the offense still does not look like what we thought it could level up into, and what it was at the end of last year, it doesn't look like that same offense. They got a big win, because their defense played phenomenal, but, I mean, it's, the Jags, this is still not, it's a win, so you like it, but you're still not happy if you're a Jags fan, because the Jags at this point just aren't looking like a good football team, on the offensive side of the ball, they don't look good, they don't look good on offense. They're going to have to try to figure something out, because they can't contend, they're 2-2 now, actually the whole AFC South is 2-2, but they cannot contend with the top teams of this division if they can't figure it out on offense, so, the Jags, they got the win, defense looked great, the offense still has some work to do. The Miami Dolphins traveled to Buffalo for an AFC East showdown that was the game of the week, it was the game everyone wanted to watch, the 3-0 Dolphins, the 2-1 Bills, both teams on fire right now, looking incredible on all levels, and the Bills got a big win, 48-20, you look at the box score, I mean the Bills just dominated in this game, 14 points in the first quarter, 17 in the second quarter, 10 in the third quarter, 7 in the fourth quarter when the starters didn't even play, mean ball for the Dolphins, it went 7-7, 6-0, so, the first 5 drives of this game, 3 by Buffalo, 2 by the Dolphins, they were all touchdowns, and it looked like this game was going to take off, it was going to be like a 48-45, could go either way type game. It did not turn into that, Buffalo took off after that, they kept scoring, the Buffalo defense started to play well, and it just shut down Miami, 2-0 was under pressure, the whole game didn't look like you knew what you could do, starting for Miami, this offensive line is a concern, it's the only thing holding this team back right now, this offensive line can't really block anybody, it seems like, especially with Teron Armstead on and off the field with injury, as he kind of has been his whole career, so, for Miami, it's a concern, and a lot of people's power rankings, they were either team number 1 or team number 2, depends where you had the 49ers, now they're slipping to the 6-7-8 spot, because of these concerns that were brought up on Sunday, so, they're not this unstoppable team, a really good team can beat the Dolphins, but, if I'm a Miami fan, I'm still happy with how this year has started, 3-1 is still a great score, you're 2nd in your division, behind only the Buffalo Bills, so, and you're contending right there with them, same record, the Bills just have the tiebreaker right now, so, it's a good season right now for Miami, it's a good start, so, we'll just have to see, if they can kind of put this one behind them and keep the good pace, I mean, they just put a 70 against the Broncos, this offense is still electric. On the Bills side, Josh Allen, Staphon Diggs were on point today, really, for the Bills, the Playmakers made plays, for the Dolphins, the Playmakers did not, H-8 had himself a great game on only 8 carries, but outside of him, it's just, it's Jalen Waddle at a quiet game, Tyreek Hill at a quiet game, Tua didn't have his best game, so, for Buffalo, the Playmakers made plays, for Miami, the Playmakers didn't, looking at Josh Allen's box score, 320 yards, 4 touchdowns, 120 yards and 3 touchdowns of Allen's were to Staphon Diggs, so, Diggs had 120 yards and 3 touchdowns, every other Bills receiver combined had 200 yards and a touchdown, Staphon Diggs is insane, moving on to a game of 0-3 teams going into it, both teams desperately needing a win to keep playoff chances alive, the Denver Broncos, after getting destroyed by Miami, traveled to Chicago to play the Bears, and this game looked like it was going to be a runaway victory for the Chicago Bears, they were up 28-7 at one point, about midway through the third quarter, because the Bears didn't score in the first quarter, put 21 on the board in the second quarter, and then on the first drive of the second half, they go down, they score a touchdown, they're up 28-7, looks like Justin Fields, I don't think, had thrown an incompletion at that point, he was like 23-23 for 250-something yards and like 4 touchdowns at that point, he looked awesome, but, it's, and then they fell apart, and didn't score another point for the rest of the game, and the Broncos came back and won 31-28, Fields looked good throwing the ball, Herbert ran for over 100 yards, like, it's just, they got shut down in the second half, they couldn't do anything, outside of that first drive in the second half, Denver started to play very well on defense, the offense started clicking, and they looked incredible, and unstoppable for the rest of the game, so, I mean, it's hard to envision this team in the Bears, not maybe, they probably have the number one pick, it's hard to envision Justin Fields being the starting quarterback next year, I don't see it, I don't see the chance that he is the starting quarterback for the Bears next year, he doesn't look good, he doesn't look good, he had a nice game here, I think this is more of a fluke, I don't, I still have very, very little confidence in Justin Fields to be able to keep this up, they play Washington on Thursday night football on prime time this week, this will be a huge week in telling if Justin Fields is actually good, cause if he has a bad week this week, it's like, oh, that week was a fluke, if he has a good week this week, then I don't know, maybe he actually does have something going, I err more on the side of, that he's not good, sorry, I have a bit of a cough right now, so if you hear me doing that in the background, that's what that is, I apologize, meanwhile for Denver, this was more of a, the other team was worse than you were, win, it's cool to have a come from behind win, Sean Payton's first win as the Broncos coach, all that's fun, but the Broncos didn't necessarily play incredible, it was more the Bears just collapsed, offense started getting shut down, the defense was horrible in the second half, they couldn't stop anybody for Denver, and that's why they won, so Denver's still not a good team, don't read into it, a comeback win, like don't read into that, they're still not good, it's just, it's just the Bears man, I'm sorry if you're a Bears fan, I had them just squeaking into the wild card this year, making the playoffs, I thought Fields could take that next step, and take this team to 9-8 and make the wild card, I'm sorry, it's not happening, it's not happening, they're one of two teams in the NFL that have not won a game yet, the only other team is the Carolina Panthers, so it's not happening, I'm sorry, moving on to an AFC North showdown between the Baltimore Ravens who are coming off a shocking loss to the Colts and the Cleveland Browns, and this win is the, the Ravens won 28-3, this win is the defense, the Ravens, if I'm a Ravens fan, oh wait, I am, I'm very happy with what the team is right now, they've gotten a 3-1 through these first four games, have beaten two of their three-division opponents on the road, and now they play Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh this week, so if they can win this week against Mitchell Trubisky and the Steelers, then all of a sudden, we've won all three of our away games against third-divisional opponents, that's huge if you're a Ravens fan, so that almost, it'd be only through five games, so it's not a, it's not a lock, but that almost locks up the division, it does, so winning those games, so the Ravens are in the driver's seat of this division, the Browns, Sean Watson was a late scratch with a shoulder injury, Dorian Thompson Robinson did not look like he was ready to play, starting with the Cleveland side, it's not gonna be this bad on offense every week, Sean Watson plays, this is a much closer game, and the Browns have a better chance at winning this game, but their offense just looked so bad, and for the defensive side of the Browns, don't get worried if you're a Browns fan about this defense, it's still incredible, it's, they were out there most of the game, because the offense couldn't stay on the field, so don't be worried, Browns fans, this is a weird game, it's, you're a better team than this, even without Nick Chubb, so don't get worried if you're a Browns fan, you're fine, you're still, the Browns right now, in my mind, are the only team in this division that has a chance of competing with the Ravens for the division, I do think as the season goes on, the Browns and the Ravens, late in the season, will be fighting for this division, because the Browns have a good defense, they are a gritty team, they can scratch out some wins, but in this game, DTR was just not ready, for the Ravens, I mean, they rolled the Browns, and this is a defensive win, they came out against the rookie quarterback and said, hey, you're not ready for this yet, welcome to the NFL, and just completely destroyed it, he looked incompetent the whole game, they had, I believe, three picks on Dorian Thompson-Robinson, should have had two more that they actually dropped, so, they just shut down Thompson-Robinson, and it's good if you're a Ravens fan, because they come out Week 1, destroy the Texans, Week 2, beat the Bengals, Week 3, lose to the Colts in a close one on a non-PI call in overtime, who the Colts look pretty good right now, we'll get to them later, Week 4, roll the Browns, you're 3-1, should be 4-0, and this is without your team at full health, Dobbins is obviously done for the year, but in this game, they didn't have Marlon Humphrey, they still haven't had him all season, Ronnie Stanley, they haven't had since Week 1, where he left with a knee injury, I believe, they still don't have Marcus Williams, who left Week 1, in this game, they didn't have, oh, what's his name, Ojafe Owe, or their other edge rusher, David Ojabo, there are two starting edge rushers in this game, Ojabo, before the game was actually placed on injured reserve, so he's missing the next three at least, as he tries to get healthy, from two different injuries, a knee and an ankle, so, the Ravens were not at full strength, but they're still at 3-1, they're still playing well, so, if you're a Ravens fan like me, you've got to be really happy with what this team is doing right now. Next, we have the matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Tennessee Titans, and the Titans dominated this one, 27-3 victory for them, and this one wasn't particularly close, the Bengals kicked a field goal in the first quarter, and that was it. For the Titans, we can get through this quickly, they don't look great, they, um, Tannehill was, like, fine, Henry was back in form, that was good, their defense looks pretty good, they look very, very mid, hard to evaluate them right now. For Cincinnati, they're the big story in this game. They are not good, they're bad, and I know, they made the Super Bowl two years ago, they made the AFC Championship last year, it's all, oh, well, that's outlandish, they're bad. If you watch any of their games, throw in any of their four, watch their offense play football, it makes me sad. It bores me. Joe Burrow looks terrible. Jamar Chase and T. Higgins are just trying to, it's almost, he looks, he looks worse than Baker Mayfield right now. Joe Burrow, I will say this, Joe Burrow looks worse than Baker Mayfield right now through four weeks, and we will get to the box game, uh, in a second, but they look great right now. The Bengals look bad, they look bad. Their defense is just playing okay, their offense is playing terrible. So, I mean, will they be able to figure stuff out? I don't know. I think this might just be a lost season for them, just a weird season. Burrow's calf injury, Mixon holding out, Higgins wanting a new contract, or Mixon didn't hold out, the criminal stuff with him, uh, Higgins wanting a new contract, the weird tackle controversy, it's, it's, I think it's just a lost season that they can't recover from now, dropping to one and three and looking just bad. So, I mean, yeah, that's really all I have on this game. The Titans, TBD, but the Bengals are just not good, and it's weird to have to even be able to say that. The Rams traveled to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. Rams one and two, Colts two and one. Uh, Rams struggled in last week's loss to Cincinnati, who we just talked about. Cincinnati's only win on the year. They struggled. They, that was their worst game. Um, week one, they had dominant win over Seattle. Week two, close loss to San Francisco. They looked very, very good in both those games. Um, week three against Cincinnati, they looked bad. Recovered in week four with an overtime victory, uh, 29-23 over the Colts. Um, uh, Anthony Richardson never got the ball in overtime. Um, the Rams were up, actually, uh, they were up 23-0 at one point in this game. Um, and the Colts came all the way back to send it overtime at 23-23. And then the Rams were able to snuff out the comeback. So, three of the Rams' four games have been away games. So, um, it won't be like that every week. So, they're two and one in those away games. So, pretty good, um, numbers. I believe their only home game was against San Francisco. But, um, schedule's gonna get a little lighter than what they've faced so far. So, they're actually a pretty good team, if you think about it. Kyron looks awesome. Puka looks awesome. These two guys that, if you're a fantasy manager, these are the two late-round dart throws, waiver-wire pickups of the year. So, there are these two Rams players. And no one expected the Rams' offense to be good. It was like Cooper Cup, maybe, Cam Akers, or Bust. Well, Cooper Cup got, gets hurt, misses the first four games. He might play this week. He was activated off injured reserve. He might play this week. He might play next week. He has to play the week after that. Um, so, where he's done for the year. So, um, it's, Kyron Williams looks, Cam Akers, by the way, sucks. Traded to Minnesota after, I think, one, he played week one, played terrible. Week two, healthy scratch, and then he was traded. So, um, Kyron Williams has taken over this backfield and played great. Puka, as a rookie, is setting records. He looks awesome. Matt Stafford, only three touchdown passes through four weeks, but he looks great for only three touchdowns. It's because Kyron is getting all the touchdowns right now. And the Rams look great. So, that's the Rams side of the ball. They are legit playoff contenders. They are back, even without Jalen Ramsey. It used, going into this year, we were like, oh, they're not going to be very good because it's just Stafford and Donald and Kup and maybe Akers. And then Akers turned out to be bad. So, we were like, oh, well, it's literally just Stafford, Donald, Kup, and no one else. It's just three good players on the whole team. Out of 53, there's only three. And that turns out that's not the case because Kyron has stepped up. Puka has stepped up. Tyler Higbies looks pretty good. Like, there are players stepping up and making plays for the Rams that we didn't expect to step up and make plays. That's why they're playing good. For the Colts, they're 2-2, the whole division is 2-2. The weird thing is they're 2-0 on the road and they're 0-2 at home. So, they've lost to the Jags and the Rams at home and they beat the Ravens. And who else did they play? Who did they play in Week 2? Let me actually look that up real quick. They beat the Texans in Houston. So, there's actually a pretty good win looking at how C.J. Stroud looks right now. But the whole division is 2-2. This division is better than we thought. You know, the Jags might be the worst team in this division. I might be able to say that. They were the favorites this going into the year to run away with the division. They might be the worst team. Because you look at the Colts, offense is playing great. If the defense can figure it out, they'll be a really good team. Texans, same thing. Offense is playing great, but the difference is their defense is figuring it out. So, a little bit of a slow start. It's a rookie quarterback. You expect that in Week 1. Week 2, the offense looks great. The defense just can't do anything. Week 3, and now Week 4, they figure it all out against the Jags and the Steelers. But we'll get to the Texans in a little bit. But, they look good. Titans, they're also 2-2. Two times they've gotten blown out, two times they've dominated. So, they look pretty good right now. And then, finally, the last team is the Jags, who their offense looks terrible. So, the Jags might be very well the worst team in this division. That's something to think about. Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveled to New Orleans to play the Saints, and this game was never particularly close. Saints, field goal in the first quarter, nothing in the second quarter. Field goal in the third quarter, field goal in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Bucs did not score in the first or third quarter, but in the second quarter, 14. In the fourth quarter, 12. Ran away with this one 26-9. I said it earlier, Baker Mayfield looks like a better quarterback through four weeks than Joe Burrell right now. He's playing better than Joe Burrell, who just got the fat bag and the fat contract. Baker's on a one-year prove-it deal, and he's proving it right now. As the Bucs get to 3-1, they're 2-0 on the road right now, 1-1 at home, the only loss being to the defending NFC champion Eagles, who Baker didn't even look that bad against. So, Baker looks great. He's reviving his career in Tampa. The Bucs look great. Mike Evans had a hamstring injury in this one, so that's something to monitor if you're a Bucs fan. That'd be a huge loss if he misses extended time, but they have the bye week this week, so obviously he probably will not practice this whole week. He probably might not even practice next week. They want to rest him up so he can play in week six. That's why it's good they're having the bye week now. They need to rest Mike Evans. But another dominant win for Tampa. They are just kind of killing people right now, and they're playing great. Godwin went over 100 yards with Evans' absence. Baker, 246 yards, three touchdowns, only one turnover. And that was actually only Baker Mayfield. Through four games, he's only thrown two picks. One last week, and one this week. So, Baker's playing great. He's playing really good football, and these past two weeks, he's played two of the top defenses in the NFL, the Eagles and the Saints, and played pretty well against them. So, the Bucs are good right now. The top ESPN headline sums it up perfectly. Baker Mayfield might have landed with the right team at the right time, and that's how it feels right now with Tampa. The Washington Commanders traveled to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. Fly, Eagles, fly. People, after last week's massive loss to Buffalo, the fly eagles, fly champs, as I just said, were expected to be very, very involved in the stands today because they thought they were just going to roll Washington. Well, they did beat Washington, but it was not like last week was Buffalo for the Commanders. Eagles get a 34-31 victory in overtime. Yeah, the Commanders put up 31 points and took it to overtime. Also, Johan Dotson's touchdown is time expired. Yeah, that's how this game was. The Commanders played great football for most of the game, had a little slump in the middle, but were great at the beginning and the end when it mattered. So, I mean, for the Commanders, they are a contender. It doesn't sound like after just getting blown out by the Bills, that sounds more like a fluke because they played great all those other weeks. So, the Commanders, I mean, now they play on Thursday Night Football, which I believe is in Chicago. They're probably going to win that one. I mean, I don't see them losing. I don't see them losing that game. So, they're actually legitimately good in our playoff contender right now. For the Eagles, they are also, they're not looking as good as they have been. They're not looking like they did last year. They're not looking like the same offense, the same defense. They're not dominating teams anymore. They are 4-0 though. They've gotten the wins. That's all that matters. They're one of two undefeated teams in the NFL right now. The other one being the Niners. Who knew? Everyone's like, oh, the NFC kind of sucks. The AFC is awesome. What's going on? Well, maybe, maybe the NFC is actually the good division. They're the only ones with undefeated teams right now, being the Niners and the Eagles after the Dolphins lost this week. So, it's interesting to think about. Those were the two teams that everyone expected to be great out of that conference though. So, Eagles, some kind of take care of business. I don't really know what to think of this game. They're still good. So, moving on. The Minnesota Vikings and the Carolina Panthers played each other, I guess. I wouldn't call it football. Maybe some of you would. I don't know. But, this was not really football. It was sad to watch. I actually had the Sunday Ticket, four games at once on. I had the Ravens game on because they're my team. And then I believe I had the Commander's Eagles game because that was a great game. I believe I had, I think I had Saints Boss, maybe. No, it was, um, no, it was, uh, Dolphins Bills. No, it was, okay, Ravens game, Ravens Browns, I'm a Ravens fan. And then the other games were Commander's Eagles, Vikings Panthers, and Texans Steelers were the other ones I had on. So, and this was the game I watched the least of the other ones. Because the Ravens, oh, that's my team. They're playing great. I'm watching that one. Oh, this Commander's Eagles game looks great. Uh, let's, that one looks good. Oh, C.J. Stroud's playing awesome. Let's watch that one. Oh, and then there's just kind of like a fourth game on because they won it on. Um, that's really how this game, that's really how it went for me. So, um, uh, 21-13 victory for the Vikings. They get their first win of the year. It was not pretty. It was ugly. It was very ugly. They threw, the Vikings only touch, or the Panthers only touched that was a pick six on like the goal line that Kirk Cousins threw. That's kind of just how this game went. Um, it was ugly throughout. It was hard to watch football. I don't want to spend too much time on this one except to say that both these teams are not very good. Vikings offense kind of got it done when they needed to. They looked this was their worst game if I'm being honest. This was their worst game. So, they kind of got it done. I don't know. Uh, question mark. I don't really know how to describe this right now. So, um, ugly win. For Carolina, I told you last week, Bryce Young is coming along slow. He's not gonna be great right away. He'll be fine. Guys, stop panicking. Bryce will be fine. Uh, he's just not very good right now, okay? He'll be fine. All right, six games left to talk about. One more in the one o'clock window, and that was the other game I was watching. The Pittsburgh Steelers traveled to Houston to take on the Texans, and the Texans won 30-6 at home. Um, yeah, this game, I don't, I don't, let's start with the Texans. They're, because they're easier. They're good. Offense is incredible. The defense is incredible. Um, Stroud is incredible. Nico Collins is incredible. Tank Dell, even though he had a quiet game, he's incredible. Damian Pearce is incredible. This is a good team. I predicted them to be a playoff contender this year. Maybe not make it, but a playoff contender with Stroud, and they're very well, they very well are. They might make the playoffs. So, um, the Texans are good. They are a legitimate threat. I'm glad, as a Ravens fan, we got them week one in Stroud's debut, because they are good. So, um, that'll be, they're fun to watch right now. This is the most hope a Texans fan must have had ever. New coach, new quarterback, they look great. Um, new top-tier edge rusher as well. Uh, so, if you're a Texans fan, be excited. Steelers are a little more complicated, because I have a friend that's a Steelers fan, and, uh, he just, he, whenever I walk up to him and try to talk about football, he's like, just don't talk about that around me, um, because the Steelers are rough right now. They're 2-2 somehow, uh, because they've had an easy schedule to start, but this win describes how good they actually are, and that's not good. That's not good. Um, Kenny Pickett left with a knee injury, Pat Friarbuse left with a hamstring injury, just had some insult to injury, um, and, I mean, this was, this was very, very, very bad. Kenny Pickett, probably not gonna play for the next few weeks. Definitely not playing this week. They haven't ruled him out, but I can tell you, after watching that injury, he's not playing football this week against the Ravens. So, um, it, they'll probably get Trubisky, which, as people say, oh, maybe that'll bet, that's better than Pickett. Guys, this is Mitch Trubisky. He's not good. He is not a good NFL quarterback. Is he gonna win this week? I mean, it's always possible. Ravens-Steelers goes either way, um, every time. I, they split, like, every year, um, so it, it could go either way, but, um, there's, you're never out in this rivalry, no matter how much better one team is than the other. So, um, but it's very unlikely that the Steelers will get a win with Mitch Trubisky or Kenny Pickett under six. So, um, an injured Kenny Pickett or Mitch Trubisky, I mean, yikes. So, the Steelers are bad, the Texans are good. Those are the takeaways from this game. Moving on to the four o'clock window, we had three games there to talk about. The first, the Las Vegas Raiders traveled to SO5 Stadium to take on the division-rival Chargers, and, I mean, no Jimmy G in this game, out with a concussion, but, um, this game was close. I mean, yikes, if you're a Chargers fan, uh, 24-17 victory over the Raiders, but, um, they did not, Chargers did not score in the second half. It was 24-7 at the half, and the Raiders made it a game, but a late Aiden O'Connell pick, um, won the Chargers the game. So, I mean, is it Kalil Mack at six sacks, by the way? He's, I don't, I don't know if he already has, but if he hasn't yet, he's winning Defensive Player of the Week, I can tell you that much for the AFC. But, um, six sacks, Herbert threw three touchdown passes. It was a really good game for the Chargers on offense and defense. Uh, offense in the first half, Herbert got hurt on his non-throwing hand. He has a bye week to deal with that, um, and then the defense held up through the whole game, took out rookie quarterback Aiden O'Connell in his first start. He didn't look terrible, threw for 238 yards, no touchdowns, one pick. He didn't look that bad, but, uh, he made a couple rookie mistakes that cost him this game. Josh Jacobs had a nice game for the Raiders, but the Raiders weren't at full strength in this one. Not really much to talk about with them. They're not great. Chargers get back to 500 at 2-2. They're 1-1 at home, 1-1 away. They're pretty, they're not as bad as their 0-2 start. They're actually a pretty good team, and now they go into the bye week. Herbert gets to get a little healthier. Eckler gets to get a little healthier, um, and this is going to be a pretty dangerous team for the rest of the season, uh, now that they're back to 2-2. Uh, moving on to the, uh, second of our three 4 o'clock games to talk about. The New England Patriots traveled to Dallas, and, well, they didn't really play the Cowboys. Yet again, I feel like this has happened three of their four weeks. The Cowboys kind of got a free bye week, I guess. Um, the only week that hasn't happened is that weird Cardinals game last week, but, uh, um, they're 3-1 now. They took down the Patriots 38-3. This wasn't even a game. Um, if you're a fantasy player, Mac Jones scored like 1.3 fantasy points or something, got pulled out in third quarter. It was rough. It was very, very rough. Uh, if you're a Patriots fan, this is Belichick's worst loss of his career in point differential. Let's talk about the Patriots to start. They're 1-3 now. Their only win was a close one against the Jets. So, um, they're not good. Mac Jones is not good, and the Patriots are not good, and, um, they're probably gonna get, like the Bears, it's another quarterback bust. We've kind of had four of the five, I guess if you include Davis Mills, who started a bunch of games, five of the six quarterbacks in that elite top-tier generational quarterback draft class, five of the six have busted. The five that have busted are, uh, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, Mac Jones, Davis Mills. The one that has succeeded is Trevor Lawrence, but even he's looked not that good recently. Um, so maybe he's even moving out of the stud category a little bit. I don't know. He could end up a bust. We'll have to see, but, um, Patriots take, it won't be this bad of a loss every week. Their offensive line was just not ready for the Cowboys, for the Cowboys. Their offense did literally nothing. Dak had 261 yards and a touchdown. Pollard had 11 carries. Like, the offense was not on the field much, um, because the defense had two touchdowns. This was a lot like the Giants game from week one. The Cowboys defense is insane. They are the best defense in the NFL. I will say that right now. The Niners are really good. The Eagles are really good. Saints are pretty good. Like, there are other good defenses in the NFL. Steelers are really good, although they kind of got manhandled this week, but the Cowboys are in a tier of their own, uh, defensively right now. They are insane. Micah Parsons is insane. This is, this, these performances are without Trayvon Diggs. They only had him their first two games of the year. Um, these past two weeks they have had no Trayvon Diggs. Um, so, huge win for the Cowboys. Uh, offense got another bye week. Defense played dominance. They are playing out of their minds right now. Huge bounce back from that weird Cardinals game. Speaking of the Cardinals, our last 4 o'clock game to talk about, the Arizona Cardinals traveled to San Francisco to play the Niners. Uh, the Niners won 35-16. Cardinals fall to 1-3. Niners get up to 4-0, one of two teams that are still undefeated on the year. Um, I personally did not watch this game, but, um, I know that the Niners, uh, this game was close for a little while. It was actually 21-16 at the end of the third quarter. Niners on top. And then the Niners had two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Looks like they dominated the Cardinals in the box for it, but they really didn't. It really wasn't a dominant win. Um, so, uh, it's, the Cardinals were, their fight started with them. They're feisty. They, no Kyler Murray to start this year. They don't have Hopkins anymore. No more J.J. Watt, Chandler Jones. They're not a good roster top to bottom, but they sure are feisty. I will say that. They play hard. Jonathan Gannon must be, I will say it right now, Jonathan Gannon, there's been some great coaching this year. You look at, uh, just going down the list of teams. Dan Campbell, great year so far coaching. Uh, Mike McDaniel has been a great coach this year. Uh, you look at, um, uh, Todd Bulls, great year coaching. Uh, Nick Sirianni, again, uh, D'Amico Ryants has been a great coach. Even Mike McCarthy, uh, has, he's a contender for it right now. And Kyle Shanahan, permanent contender. Um, but right now, they're one in three. So, they're not gonna have a good record at the end of the year, so he's not gonna win. If it was my decision, Jonathan Gannon would be coach of the year. Um, because something in him has inspired these guys to play hard. I wish, we got hard knocks to the Jets. We got to see Aaron Rodgers, even though it didn't come to fruition. That was interesting. I wish we had gotten a hard knocks and a hard knocks in season for the Cardinals. We got a hard knocks in season for the Cardinals last year. I want to see it with Gannon, because these guys play hard for him. These guys must just love Gannon. And the future is bright. The Texans pick won't be as good, because the Texans are actually a good team. So, they probably will not have picks one and two, like they are projected. Get Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison, probably not happening unless a trade-up occurs, involving maybe Kyler Murray. But, um, something in this team is happening. These guys played very hard for Jonathan Gannon. These past two weeks, I mean, they've played, you look at the teams they've played. Um, let's just pull up their schedule real quick, um, because it is brutal. Um, you look at the games they've played, uh, so far this year. They've played the Commanders, who look pretty good. They've played the Giants, that's a pretty easy game, but they lost it, so, by three points. And, um, the Cowboys and the Niners have been their last two games. That is not an easy schedule. And they beat the Cowboys and kept it close against the Niners. So, something is going on with this team. Um, they are playing hard for Gannon. So, the Niners, CMC is so good, Christian McCaffrey, Brock Purdy is so good, Brandon Iyuk is so good, George Kittle and Deebo Samuel are quiet games, they didn't need them. The Niners' defense is so good. This team has got to be the favorite to win the Super Bowl this year. They're my favorite, I think they're the favorite to win the Super Bowl right now. San Francisco 49ers, they look off. So, win for them. Sunday night football, the Kansas City Chiefs, not the Treefs, that's not a team. Kansas City Chiefs traveled to MetLife Stadium to play the Jets. Um, actually, uh, shout out to Tom Grossi on YouTube. Uh, he's, uh, does, uh, I apologize, does, um, comedy stuff. On, uh, NFL comedy stuff on YouTube. You guys should go check him out. But, um, he had a YouTube short where, um, he live streams a lot of the games. Live streams the Packers games, he's a Packers fan, he live streams the Primetime games. Um, and he live streams this game. And he, uh, there was a YouTube short that blended together. He had a counter for Aaron Rodgers and Taylor Swift, which one NBC was showing more, and it was very funny. So, um, to watch, because both of them were in attendance. Both are, on purpose or not on purpose, depending on your view, attract a lot of attention. So, um, the Chiefs, um, at the end of the first quarter, they were up, they beat the Jets, by the way, 23 to 20. Yeah, you might hear that saying, they only won by three points. Uh, we'll get to that in a second. This game was fun to watch, actually. Chiefs at the end of the first quarter are winning 17 to nothing. Looks like they're just gonna roll the Jets. Um, and then something clicks. Zach Wilson had gone three and out, three straight drives at this point. And then something clicks for the Jets. Um, and that something that clicked was Zach Wilson. All of a sudden, he goes on a terror. He, um, made some great passes, had some long drives. He had some Zach Wilson throws, too, but he looked awesome from the first, uh, for the last three quarters of this game. Um, just looked incredible. On that last drive, he did have the, he dropped the snap, and that gave the Chiefs the ball back, and Jets never got the ball back. But, um, I mean, Zach looked pretty good in this game. And the Jets, this is a career game for Zach Wilson, and if he, now he plays the Broncos, who are a terrible defense. So, um, he has a lot of momentum going into this week, that if he can swing, the Jets have a good chance of winning this game this week. So, uh, there, and when the offense clicks, it motivates the defense, and the defense clicks, and plays really well. Um, you saw, saw Skarner on the sideline was get, was laughing, and talking, and, uh, fist bumping Zach Wilson. You saw Quinn and Williams do the same, Garrett Wilson. The stars of this team were all really changed on Zach Wilson all of a sudden, and that's because he was playing good. The Chiefs, um, Mahomes had a Zach Wilson played better than Patrick Mahomes in this game. Uh, the, uh, the first quarter, Mahomes dominated over Wilson. The last three, Wilson dominated over Mahomes. That's just kind of how this game went. Uh, so, it's weird to say, but that's just how it went. So, um, the Chiefs get a win. It was not their best football by any means, uh, but they got the win, uh, and that's all that really matters. So, um, moving on, one last game to cover. Monday night, the Seattle Seahawks traveled to New York to play the Giants back-to-back night football games in MetLife, uh, two straight days, and let's just say the Jets played better than the Giants did. Um, Seattle, uh, played, uh, on offense, they weren't great. They weren't awesome, but Seattle won 24-3 because their defense played awesome. They had a pick six on Daniel Jones. Uh, we could get through this one quickly because starting with the Giants side, Daniel Jones sucks, and the Giants offense sucks. They scored three points in the second quarter, and that was their only points all game. So, um, it was, it was very bad. The rookie quarter, Devin Witherspoon had that 97 yard pick six, um, and the, uh, the Giants, Giants are, uh, terrible, and we can move on. I don't want to give the Giants, talk about the Giants anymore. It's, it's, it's, oh, Giants are so bad. Meanwhile, moving to Seattle, they, their defense played really well in this game, um, better than it usually does, and they shut down Daniel Jones. So, um, yeah, the Seahawks going to their bye week. Uh, let me look up who the Giants played this week. Uh, so, the Giants, oh my god, they played the Dolphins. Yeah, um, Ruff, if you're a Giants fan, become a Jets fan right now. That's what I'd be doing. Choose the other MetLife team, because even though they're one and three, at least they have hope. Giants have no hope. So, uh, that's going to wrap it up for me, guys. Uh, I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. This is, uh, actually our longest episode. We are nearing 51 minutes in run time. We're at 50 minutes and 42 seconds right now. That's insane. So, uh, I'll cut it off. I don't need you guys to hear my voice anymore. You've been listening to it for a while. So, I hope you enjoyed, and I'll see you guys in the next episode.
