Nothing to say, yet
The speaker argues that Yu-Gi-Oh is better than Pokemon because it has a better main character, a simpler card game, cooler monsters, and won't take over the world. They also criticize Pokemon for having too many episodes, weird and gay-looking characters, and losing quality in its games. The speaker tries to convince their friend that Yu-Gi-Oh is superior, but adds some comedic elements throughout the conversation. As you heard Hugh just say, um, he said that Yu-Gi-Oh is better, but I beg to differ. And I have spent very, very many long hours of my sad, pathetic life, um, writing down why he is not right. So, I shall start first, obviously. Pokemon is better, because it has a much better main character, right? Yu-Gi-Oh? He's got the weirdest hair in existence. Who wears their hair like that? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. You know what their hair? That hair... Dragon Ball Z stole that hair from Yu-Gi-Oh. You know what? And they made millions of dollars off of that. You know what? Did Yu-Gi-Oh make millions of dollars? It's something unique. Probably not. Yes, actually. Throughout its many shows and merchandise and everything, it made hundreds of millions of dollars. It might have made hundreds of millions of dollars. Doesn't mean it's good. So, allow me to dive into why it is not as good as Pokemon. Pokemon has a much better main character, alright? We've all heard of Pokemon. And everyone who's heard of Pokemon probably knows Ash Ketchum, who is the main character of the show. First of all... Who stayed ten his entire life. That's true. But first of all, let's talk about that his hair isn't that of a loser. Yu-Gi-Oh wears his hair like he's an anime reject. What? Who's going into high school and will yell out his punches when he goes into a fight. So, Ash also can actually lose. Every time Yu-Gi-Oh is so, so close to losing... He pulls out some trump card or uses the power of friendship or whatever to get out of it. That's not how it works. Ash has died multiple times and he's lost multiple Pokemon battles. He's died multiple times. He's died multiple times. You don't understand how crazy that is? He's died like twice in the show and once in a movie. Yes, but all... No, he's actually died like four or five times. Yeah, I know. He died once in the movie, twice in like one of the series. Anyways, he loses Pokemon battles as well. Yu-Gi-Oh pretty much never loses. I've never seen Yu-Gi-Oh lose once, right? Ash has lost Pokemon battles numerous times. And he can look like he's about to win and in some drastic turn of events actually end up losing. Which is what makes the series so good. He's good, but not good enough toward a point where he just decimates every single person in a row. And he's even lost rematches as well. So, you know, he doesn't have insane plot armor to keep the show going. He actually has to train. He's not just good at everything that he does. So, first of all, his hair does not look like s***. It looks like Dragon Ball Z hair. Goku's hair, I'm sorry. I don't watch Dragon Ball Z. Do you think that Ash was just like, Oh, I lost. Oh, that's bad. And I just move on. No. Like 80% of Ash's battles, or 85% of Ash's battles, he's won, right? The other 15% that he lost, he had some dramatic moment about it. Like in the Indigo League, when he lost to Lieutenant Surge, he was like, He started crying like a little b***h you just lost. Like, don't be a b***h about it. You're fine. You're fine. Like, he's overdramatic. I just want to say, that's not what Yu-Gi-Oh does. He may not lose, but at least he knows not to be a sore loser. Alright? Of course Ash can be a b***h about losing sometimes. But he's not like, he comes back for a second chance. He's not like, Oh man, I lost and I'm out of here, right? He trains his Pokemon back up and beats them the next time. Elliot, I was once a Pokemon fanatic. I kind of still am. But when I watched Yu-Gi-Oh and I realized its potential, I realized that Yu-Gi-Oh was so much more than Pokemon. Have you ever heard of the phrase, less is more? Pokemon has over 1,200 episodes. You know what? They're making more too. They're making more episodes without Ash catching them. Which is a little bit disgraceful, but okay. Yu-Gi-Oh, the Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters, which is the name of the show, plus the first season, is around 300 episodes. That is a fourth of what Pokemon has. There's so much better quality too. And some people say, Oh yeah, Pokemon, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh stole Pokemon. But that's not the case. They may have stolen Pokemon, but they did it a lot better with a simpler card game and cooler monsters and cards. So, first of all, you're wrong. Second of all, I want to get into my next point. Pokemon is not weird, right? Of course there are some Pokemon, and some Pokemon have very, very... What? Pokemon is not weird? No. Let me tell you why. Let me tell you why. Let me tell you why. Okay? None of them look gay, alright? A bunch of people... Pretty much every single Yu-Gi-Oh character who looks gay... Alright? First of all... What? Every single character looks gay. They all look gay. That's your point. You can't tell me what's up. You cannot tell me. That's not the hair of a gay anime character. Next off... If the Yu-Gi-Oh cards came together as one, the world would be gone in an instant. If Pokemon were to, you know, take over the world, we'd have a fighting chance, right? Number one. They're cards. They're just that. They're nothing more. They're cards. You put them on your little deck thing in front... In the stage or whatever where you're battling the person. Right? They're holograms. Nothing more. Holograms. They're not actual monsters. They're holograms. Also, before you try to make some bulls**t point against me, I'd like to say one more thing. If Pokemon wanted to end the world, they could do so instantly. Have you heard of... I'm not sure what the moves mean. But basically, any dark type, or I think it was psychic type Pokemon, can do a mega, really powerful move. That move, it's a black hole. That's it. It's a black hole. It would destroy the world. And probably other planets in the solar system too. We would be gone in an instant. Like, less than ten minutes. Gone. You ever wonder why Kyogre and Groudon... You ever wonder why they aren't captured, why they aren't contained? It's because they're too dangerous. Yes. Rayquaza, Groudon, Kyogre, all these other mega... Not mega evolution. All these other mythical and legendary Pokemon, they're dangerous. And Yu-Gi-Oh, it's a card game with holographic monsters. That's it. It's not complicated. It's not some weird-ass bulls**t where they're trying to eat you. It's simple. It's a simple game, simple monsters with a cool card and a simple gameplay. That's it. Yu-Gi-Oh is better than Pokemon. They did it better. Better cards, better monsters. And they won't take over the world because they're holographic. That's it. First of all, are we even going to talk about how demonic-looking some of the Yu-Gi-Oh cards look like? Some of those Yu-Gi-Oh cards look like they'd rip me out and use my spine as a necklace. What did I just say? They're holographic. They can't hurt me. First of all, the games are just so much better. We said we weren't going to talk about the games. And plus, there is no game. There's one Yu-Gi-Oh card game. One. It's called Yu-Gi-Oh. El Bozo. That gives me the upper hand. Which means, Pokemon has so many more better games, right? Yu-Gi-Oh is old out, but Pokemon is still going strong with a strong fanbase and it's still somewhat entertaining. Oh. Oh, you mean the fanbase of seven-year-olds? Yep. Yeah. The first four games, Pokemon Red and Blue and Gold and Silver. They were really good games. Yep. Goes hard? They were really good games. Alright? Mm-hmm. Everything from that point on, it's like in the stock market. Like, in what was it? 2008? It was like, bing, bing, bing, bong. The quality of the games went through the floor. They had nothing new. Nothing new. I'd like you to name another game whose main target demographic audience is millennial moms. Like, 35, 40-year-old moms. Facebook? Okay, you got me on that one. Yeah! Make your rebuttal! Yeah! Yeah! I'm too good at this! I'm retiring! Yeah! Folks, viewers, viewers, please help me here. Please, let's all just show Elliot how wrong he is and how good Yu-Gi-Oh is. It's kind of PCA as it should be, and Pokemon is overappreciated. Wait, before you click off, I called it. At the beginning of the video, I said that you would laugh, and unless you're a neo-Nazi liberal, you laughed. And if you're a neo-Nazi liberal, why the hell are you watching my videos? And don't forget, don't subscribe, okay? Or like the video, alright? And be sure to have a vanillized rest of your day.
