The Step Back podcast is a podcast about the NBA hosted by Ethan and Carter. In their first episode, they discuss their favorite NBA players, potential future MVPs, and the best team to win the championship this year. They also talk about the recent trend of players forming super teams, LeBron James reaching 40,000 points, the Clippers' rebranding, and James Harden's shoes. They express their excitement for the Celtics' winning streak and discuss James Harden's position on the court. They also mention the new court design of the Clippers and express their desire to attend one of their games. Lastly, they mention Bronny, who has been talking recently. Welcome in, guys, and welcome to our first ever podcast of the Step Back podcast. This is a podcast about the NBA through the eyes of two teenage boys. Teenage boys! We'll be doing, we'll talk about news, we'll be playing games, we'll be doing drafts, stuff like that. Today might be a shorter episode relatively to our other episodes. We don't have as much time. We tried to record a bit earlier and it didn't work out like we wanted to. Yeah, it only gave us 15 minutes of recording time, so you can just imagine the pain we went through. But we're good. Okay, who is your favorite NBA player of all time and why? Um, I think it goes with Alexander because OKC is my favorite team and he's just like the best point guard that I know of right now. The, the, the Clippers have had some of the worst logos and jerseys their entire existence. Yeah. What the heck was that? What they've, what they currently have is so bad. Their logo is sucks. The worst of the NBA, the jerseys are just trash. I, this logo is underrated because I don't think people fully understand it. The Clippers are named after, uh, after ships from San Diego. Yes. Because they used to be the San Diego Clippers. And that is a ship on. And it's a ship. And there's a compass, which, uh. And it has a basketball-ish thing under it. You see? And it, it, it's like, it's pointing North, which is like symbolizing the direction of the team. Yes. Kind of like just going North, getting better, finally trying to win a chip, trying to compete with the Lakers, but also trying to disassociate themselves with the Lakers, getting the new arena. And I like it. And I like the colors. I liked getting the darker blue. I didn't think that light blue looks good. No, light blue, light blue didn't really look so well, to be completely honest. They did a great job of rebranding. I like it. I love the jerseys. Uh, the red jersey is incredible. I'm, I'm, I'm getting Paul George's. Yeah. I'm probably going to get Russ's. Russ's, yeah. They're so comfortable. And as a shooting guard, like me, I've got, those are like the best shoes for a shooting guard. I'm just going to say it. I'm pretty sure James Harden's a point guard. And I think, I think LeBron will be fine if he stays in college one more year, which I think is probably the better option. I think it is.
