Statenvertaling

The Statenvertaling, also known as the States Translation, is a significant Bible translation in Dutch. It was the first translation to be rendered from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek languages into the Dutch language. This translation was commissioned by the government of the Protestant Dutch Republic and was initially published in 1637.
