Yuvika and Sally are discussing how tired they feel every day at school. They suspect it might be due to the amount of homework they have. They decide to ask real students from Bergen Tech about their experiences. Evelyn and Sophia confirm that they also feel tired and don't get enough sleep. Mr. Rosso, a teacher, joins the discussion and mentions that students' lack of attention could be due to not getting enough sleep or feeling stuck in a repetitive routine. Evelyn and Sophia agree and relate it to a book they read in English class. So, Yuvika, I've noticed that every day when I come to school, I'm quite tired. Me too. I've noticed that almost all the days are sounding like the same. I wake up at 5.50 and I go to bed at 10.30, but yet I'm still tired. What's that all about? I don't know. It could be all the homework that's trying to get to us. Yeah, it's getting pretty annoying. Should we ask real students from Bergen Tech about the situation? Yes, that's an amazing idea. Here's an inside scoop from real Bergen Tech students, Evelyn and Sophia. Hi, I'm Evelyn. And I'm Sophia. All right, guys. So how do you feel on a day-to-day basis at school? Just like you said, I'm also really tired all the time. What about you, Sophia? Me too. I barely even get seven hours of sleep every night. Yeah, to catch the bus, I have to wake up at 6 every single morning. This seems like an ongoing pattern here at your school. Thank you for your input. Now let's hear a little bit from a teacher's perspective. Mr. Rosso, a Global Studies and AP Human Geology teacher. I would like to thank Yuvika and Sally for inviting me to this discussion and to talk about students being tired. I've been noticing many students in my class sleeping or daydreaming, and that lack of attention is a very important topic to talk about. These short-term spams can be from not getting enough sleep or feeling like they are repeating the same day over and over. This seems like it can come from students feeling like they aren't doing something that they love. Evelyn and Sophia, what do you think about this? I completely agree. This reminds me of a similar book where I read in English class.
