Michelle, a cardiac educator at Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital, hosts a podcast for Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week. She interviews Tristan, a cardiology consultant. Hi everyone I'm Michelle the cardiac educator at the Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital. Welcome to our podcast to celebrate Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week. Today I have with me Amelia who's one of our cardiac inpatients on ward 12. She's going to interview Tristan who's one of our cardiology consultants. Over to you Amelia. Hello if you weren't a doctor. Morning Amelia thank you for having me. So that's a very good question. So I think if I wasn't a doctor I would probably either want to be a cricketer but in reality I think I probably would be a chef. How much do you get paid? I don't get paid enough Amelia, not enough at all. Have you ever seen anything so gross that you fainted? Well embarrassingly the first time I went to the theatre I went flat onto my back for the first time they opened someone up and it was terrible so I never went back again. Have you ever been on a helicopter? I've never been on a helicopter actually but I would love to go on one and I think one day me and Amelia will go on one. How many sprouts do you have on your Christmas dinner? This is a very important question Amelia. Vegetables are very very good for you but sadly Brussels sprouts are not one of those for me and so I have zero sprouts for my dinner. On Fridays could you dance for the kids? I think every Friday we should do a dance for the kids, I agree. I think you should ask every consultant every Friday to do a dance. Yeah we'll start to do it this Friday. I think actually today is Friday isn't it? We'll ask them to come on and see if he dances for us later okay? Who's the most annoying doctor? I can't answer that question Amelia that's very very difficult but all adults are lovely you know that. What do you eat on your break? I forgot to have breakfast this morning but on my break normally I'll just have my lunch so probably a sandwich today. What do you watch on the TV?
