Team Seas, a major supporter of sea life, is praised for removing over 30 million pounds of trash from the ocean. They encourage donations to clean the ocean and prevent further pollution. Water scarcity and pollution are significant concerns, especially in Texas, where population growth increases water demand. Efforts are being made to promote water conservation and efficiency, address water pollution issues, and protect water resources. Cargill, a multinational company, supports sustainable practices in agriculture and industry. Industries should implement effective water treatment systems, monitor water quality, and raise awareness to prevent water pollution. A big thank you is due to our sponsors, Team Seas, for making this episode possible. Team Seas is one of the biggest supporters of sea life. The organization is run by Mark Rober, Jimmy Donaldson, with the support of people all over the world. They take out over 30 million pounds of trash from the ocean. If you want to do your part and help the ocean, then you can donate to teamseas.ca today. Every dollar you donate equals one pound of trash recycled from the ocean, effectively cleaning the ocean and safely getting rid of trash so it can never be put back into the ocean. Hey, have you guys heard about the pipeline breaks near us on the news? It was an environmental incident where several pipeline breaks occurred, leading to oil spills and environmental contamination. Water scarcity limits our access to safe drinking water and the practice of basic hygiene at home, in schools, and in healthcare facilities. Damn, that sounds not too good. But I heard the water levels are lower than before. Also, sewage systems can fail and they are a direct contact with diseases like surges. When levels are extremely low, I don't know the price of the product goes up. You know in Texas, they lost 136 billion gallons of water in 2022 to the pipeline breaks? And the infrastructure breaks? This is enough water to fill the Cowboy Stadium up 170 times over. Yeah, every time I open up Facebook, I see all these problems due to water use in Texas. This state's population is growing rapidly, and that means the more use we are getting, the more demand for water. We rely on water for various things like agriculture, industry, and residential use. With limited freshwater resources, it is important for us to be mindful of our water consumption. I saw that they were trying to put more effort into promoting water conservation and efficiency, such as implementing water-saving technologies and encouraging responsible water practices, or how I think we should do it is by being conscious of the water use and adopting sustainable habits. We can ensure that there is enough water for everybody in the future. Texas is one of the biggest water pollutants in the country in terms of pounds in carbon and pollutants being released into the water. More water is being polluted than it is being converted to clean water. As Texans use water, it is being more polluted than cleaned, which has a result in environmental damage and aquatic ecosystems being damaged as well. These contaminants affect the town because they are unusual and do more damage over time than regular things that flow downstream. Over time, this can increase toxic levels, which will affect the land, plants, and even wildlife. Water pollution is a significant concern in Texas, just like many other places. Texas faces several types of water pollution, including physical, biological, and chemical pollution. Industrial activities, agricultural runoff, and urban development are some of the main contributors to the water pollution in the state. These pollutants can harm aquatic life, degrade water quality, and impact ecosystems also. Efforts are being made to address this issue, such as implementing stricter regulations, promoting sustainable practices, and raising awareness about the importance of protecting our water resources. It is important for everyone to work together to reduce water pollution and ensure a clean and healthy environment for our future generations. The second sponsor is contributing to the episode of Cargill. Cargill is a multinational company that operates in agriculture and industrial. They are involved in many aspects of the supply food chain, including sources, processing, distributing agricultural products. With over 150 years of experience, Cargill has grown to become one of the largest privately held corporations in the United States. These work closely with farmers, customers, and communities. They provide many things such as agriculture, food, finances, and industrial products and services. Cargill is committed to sustainably and innovation to the key and operation to strive and create positive impact on the environment while society is growing in demand for food and resources. The last thing we will talk about in today's episode is some things that we can remove and add from the water industry to prevent water from being polluted. The industry consists of multiple extremely polluted water bodies. They need to start using maintainable practices to reduce the use of harmful chemicals. The government needs to apply regular monitoring and responses to issues properly. The industries play a crucial role in preventing water pollution. You know what Sean, you're completely right on that. I think to fix this problem, they can implement effective water waste treatment systems to ensure that pollutants are safely removed before being discharged into bodies of water. Using these water treatment systems in industries is important for many reasons. Firstly, these systems help remove garbage and harmful substances from water waste generated by industrial processes. By treating the water before it is discharged, we can prevent water pollution in areas in which they need to be protected the most. Lastly, water treatment systems can help industries comply with environmental regulations and standards, ensuring that their operations are sustainable and responsible. Also, these systems can help industries recover and reuse water, reducing the overall demand of fresh water resources. By implementing effective water treatment systems, industries can minimize their environmental footprint to contribute and prevent our precious water resources. We believe that it's also important for industries to begin with regular monitoring and testing of water quality, which can help identify any potential pollution sources so we can take corrective action. Also, promoting awareness and educating employees will help. By taking these steps, the industries can make real steps up in the game and as businesses. Thank you for listening.
