Testimony- Galatians 5:13-26

Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel. My name is Skola and I am here on Revealed. Thank you for joining me and listening to this podcast today. Today's topic is something of a revelation or a testimony that I have to share. This topic, I called it testimony, just on the premise that it's not like something major happened in the grand scheme of things in terms of like something physically changes with someone, but it's more like a mental shift and you can see God's working in my family for instance. My sister sent me something. Okay, let me just give you some background. Her and I are always contented conversations around the gay and lesbian movement as well as abortion and sex before marriage and topics around that. These are all hot topics. Look, I'm not saying that I'm perfect. I have done all of the things that I've mentioned here except from the gay stuff, but I'm sure at some stage in my life I had curious thoughts or wondered if I could be or maybe whatever, and then I had to finally make a decision on which sexual drivers that I was going to contend with or move forward with. I, like everybody else in the world, have sinned and sinned heavily and I'm sure from day to day there are times that I may still slip and do sin like swear or something and I apologize immediately because my spirit is convicted because I know that what I'm doing is wrong. So the reason why I say this is because Jesus made some very clear distinctions on what is considered sin and he says that if we love him then we must follow him and obey his commandments and there are loads of commandments, they're all moral ways of living that is best for us ourselves personally and also society as a whole. It helps our fellow man so thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not be lovers of themselves or thou shalt not love no other god but God, you know all these things definitely keep us unified and also keep us living peaceably with one another. Right so my sister and I have always had like battles going back and forth, she's for like you know love is love, she's a Christian also but for her it's like what does it matter if gay people decide that they want to be gay or why is it an issue and why does it bother me personally and then she all another argument is like you know she doesn't believe that people's choices should be put down when we should just love each other no matter what because the commandments that Jesus said is above all commandments is love your lord your god above all above everything with your mind soul and body and also love your neighbor as you love yourself those are the two commandments that Jesus said but what I think she's failing to realize is that loving your lord and your god as she clearly admits even in her own life because she is married um loving your loving your loving anyone love in itself is a doing word it's a verb it's charity it's something that you do you know and in order to love somebody the reason why people get married is because they say they're going to love each other would you obey this all these vows that come under this thing called love and marriage um going into covenant going into union with anybody comes with conditions on how you express that thing that you are doing with one another your partnership if you're going into business with anybody you are clearly stating out what I'm going to do what you're going to do and what we're going to do together as a partnership so when you're partnering with God and you're saying to God that lord I am your child I'm coming to you I believe that you saved me I believe that you did everything to protect me and guide me and come and save me by dying on the cross for my sake because you love me that doing word again he came he died for our sins so that we can be reconnected to him if we believe in him right so now that you believe in him believing in him means that you have to research and get to know him and have a fellowship a relationship with your lord and your god so in relating with your lord and your god we then move towards the next phases where we research and understand him and what he wants for us okay so she did the testimony is here sorry guys I ranted on for a bit just to give you a bit more of a background but the testimony that I have to say is that recently on Sunday she sent me a message saying what is the testimony for me that she was led to Galatians 5 13 to verse 26 and she asked me what I think this is a happy new year message because it was new year's day and then I went into the book and highlighted everywhere and it says love I mean life by the spirit life by the spirit okay that's the title of this part of the bible I'm using the NIV translation from the bible okay so it says here life by the spirit you my brothers and sisters were called to be free but do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh rather serve one another humbly in love for the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one commanded love your neighbor as yourself if you bite and devour each other watch out or you will be destroyed by each other so I say walk by the spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh for the flesh desires what is contrary to the spirit and spirit what is contrary to the flesh they are in conflict with one another oh sorry they are in conflict with each other so that you are not to do whatever you want but if you are led by the spirit you are not under the law the acts of the flesh are obvious sexual immorality impurity and debauchery idolatry and witchcraft hatred discord jealousy fits of rage selfish ambition dissensions factions and envy drunkenness orgies and the like I warn you as I did before that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God but the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace forbearance kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self-control against such things there is no law those who belong to Christ Jesus has crucified the flesh with its passions and desires since we live by the spirit let us keep in step with the spirit let us not become conceited provoking and envy each other okay so the testimony there is the fact that um her and I have always had debates and I my stand past is always going to be from the biblical sense because I believe that that is my manual the one that God created um for me to live by and so therefore I try my very best to live by the word of God and God knows my heart and knows what I where I am how much I'm trying to work on doing all the things the right way so I can stop the fleshly desires and as I've picked my own cross I am now walking in that sacrifice where I'm letting go of the things of my flesh doing things my way and now doing things the way that God has panned out for us all to do things okay so the testimony is the fact that she sent me that passage she sent me that um that script in the bible which is very important to me because it showed that with all the debates that we've been having all the arguments that we've been having about the situation I want to call it arguments as if we're fighting one another but sometimes it can get a little bit like you know um heated let me just say this quickly guys before you read me in the wrong way I love everyone everyone completely I love them I love them so much that I don't want them to go to hell and when you love someone like you love the child because I do have a child I am a mother you don't want your children to like run into the road you don't want them to get on the bike when they're so young without a helmet or protection you don't want them to uh smoke or take drugs or do anything that is contrary to their health you want them to eat well you want them to go and be around young people or children that their age that are good to them and kind to them that don't do things that are evil or don't corrupt your children so that they can get them to think in a way that isn't good you don't bring your children around people that will sexually abuse them or treat them in any type of way where you have control of that situation right so effectively these laws that God has given us is encompassing all these things because we're his children and when you have children you tell them do not do this do not do that do not do this step away from the fire walk away from the radiator don't open that cupboard because you're gonna find some poisons inside there that are used to clean the house do not go out past a certain time do not hang out with the wrong crowd choose your friendships carefully you are always giving your children instructions for their betterment and when your children disobey your instructions they feel it those that don't hear feel so the wages of sin is death spiritual death sometimes physical death because people constantly are disobeying God and choosing to go in a direction God never sent you on and God is good he means you well he wants you to be great and fruitful and live a very prosperous life he speaks about this kingdom where he is king he is king of his kingdom we as his children should aspire to understand the laws the commandments the position that we have to play the things that we must do how we must live in this kingdom and he will bless us within this kingdom he will provide our safety our protection he will cover us he will bless us he will be with us he will never leave us he's our friend closer than anyone could ever be close to him he will always be there to protect you even in the wilderness even in the valley of the shadows of death the Lord God will be there with you when you're going through your trials and your tribulations all you have to do is pick up your cross believe in Jesus and know that there is no other way to God the Father but through Jesus who is God himself who came down as flesh to die on the cross for the salvation of his children that whosoever believes on him will be cleansed of their sins because he took all the sins on himself he that never sinned took all those sins on himself for us for us so we must live right yes we are Christians yes we have um accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord God and Savior but we cannot accept the things of the world we cannot accept the things that are contrary to the word of the Lord we cannot accept things that are in favor of things that are not in favor of the things of the Lord so when you lie you steal when you are wrong to your parents and you don't show them any honor when you are um slapping your wives or stealing people or enslaving people or showing racism to your other human beings you are going against the will of God including your sexual drive and your sexual immoralities and sex before marriage and trans and all these like all these issues of the world i understand a lot of people think in their mind that what they're doing is right that is because they feel this way or they think that they were born this way that is a lie you weren't born that way you weren't all you need to do is start searching for your purpose if your purpose is to lead people to to death then you need to really understand who your Lord God is go and find him the Bible says seek ye first the kingdom of God and all its righteousness and everything else will be added on to you and everything else is moral codes wisdom knowledge wealth power the ability to walk freely knowing that you've got the biggest defense the strongest defense for there is no other God but God he is the God Almighty there is no other so when you get to know him when you start seeking him when you look for him all your heart with all your mind and all your soul you will find him he will reveal himself to and he will reveal himself in all the joy and love and kindness and gentleness and peace that he will bestow on you it's wonderful for the glory of God is magnificent once you get to know him there's a peace that you will feel a freedom that you will have because all those things that are talking in your head will go away you can cast them out because they are not for you they are actually against you those drugs that you take that bleeds your mind that steals from your mind takes away yourself that causes your body to behave in a way that is irrational where you no longer have self-control one of the fruits of the spirit you no longer have self-control when you're on drugs it's impossible to get your emotions in check when you're on drugs it's impossible now i have too much to say on the subject but i'm conscious that i've gone even over the time that i would typically go over so i want to leave it there and i want to say God bless you and may the Lord's kingdom come and his will be done on earth as it is in heaven all the days of our lives so we all can dwell in the house of the living God now forevermore so those that are non-believers that really want to get to know God a bit more open your heart to him research seek him read the bible understand who he is his character the things that he brought to the earth why he created us go and ask yourself this question and then go and seek answers because ask and you will receive ask and we shall receive ask knock and the door will be open to you so if you're seeking it you will get the answers you seek i promise you that much
