The second podcast of art and technology integration discusses what art integration looks like in a classroom. It involves allowing students to create without following a specific pattern, such as creating a picture using shapes to teach math. Drama can also be used by having students act out scenes from stories. The next podcast will focus on the challenges of art and technology integration. Hi everyone, this is the second podcast of art and technology integration. My name is Ruth and this is... Today we are going to be talking about what art and technology integration looks like in a classroom. Well, for art integration, it is all kinds of things. Let's look at what a craft would look like in a classroom. For it to be an art integrated project, you would not give the students any kind of pattern for them to follow. You would just give them the expectation of what you want them to create and then allow them to go wild. For instance, if you are teaching shapes for math, you get them to create a picture without using a pattern for them to follow. But also, while they are creating this picture, you have them discuss what these shapes are. This helps them to remember what kind of shapes they are and how many sides those shapes could have. If you want drama to be in the classroom and use that as an art integration, you can read a story and have the students act out the scene that is in a story and have them perform that in front of the classroom. Logan, what are some ways that technology could be integrated in various classroom settings? Maybe give us some examples. Tomorrow, we are going to be talking about the challenges that could come about art integration and technology integration in a classroom. Thank you for listening to Art and Technology Integration Podcast. This is Ruth Markovic and have a great night.
