The speaker worked as a senior recruiter for a year. They sourced leads and screened applicants to find potential candidates for job opportunities. It was challenging because many people were already employed and not interested in switching jobs. The recruiter used strategies like sending emails to notify candidates before calling them. Some candidates expressed interest, which helped prioritize leads. The recruiter conducted interviews and aimed to convince candidates to proceed to the next step. They emphasized sounding credible and responding quickly, while personalizing their messages to cater to individual preferences and needs. I was a senior recruiter for a year, where I sourced for leads and do paper screening to identify which candidates or job applicants are callable and might be interested for a job opportunity that I am working on. It is not an easy task because I will be calling them randomly and most of the time they are already employed and are not willing to take on a new job. Some of the strategies I do is sending them an email to notify them of the job opportunity first, prior to calling them. Some would reply that they are interested and I then would know how to prioritize my leads. Afterwards, I will call them for an interview and ensure I get to convert them into agreeing to proceed to the next step, which is an interview with the hiring manager. I ensure that I sound credible over the phone to get their attention and to convince them that I am legitimate. I respond quickly and I personalize my responses to tailor my message to the candidate's individual preferences and needs.
