Romans chapter 1, I read from verse 14. Romans 1 verse 14. If you are there say Amen. Okay we are going to read it together. From verse 14 down to verse 16. Are you there? Okay follow me as I read. I am debtor both to the Greek and to the barbarians, both to the wise and towards the unwise. So as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at home also. Verse 16 let us read it together. I want to go. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth to the Jews first and also to the Greek. Looking at this we see the three philosophies of Paul. We can see the commitment of Paul. Number one he said I am a debtor. That is verse 14. Verse 15 he says I am ready. Then verse 16 he says I am not ashamed. And that should be the commitment of every Christian. I am a debtor to the sinners, to the sinners around you. The unsafe people in your neighborhood, the unsafe people among your relatives, the unsafe people among your family members, among your friends. You are a debtor to them. You might be saying well I am a debtor. I didn't collect money from them. No. You are owing them the gospel. So when you have a friend that every time you speak over the phone you talk about the mundane things of this world. You don't talk about the things that would rescue their soul. You are a debtor to that person. It means that the person that will go to hell because he was a debtor of cash. I mean physical money. And because he was a debtor of his physical cash he would go to hell. That the same person you will go to hell alongside with that person because you are a debtor of not pushing the gospel. So people do not believe that when you fail to push the gospel when you can. People don't believe that we have eternal consequences. That is why they do it whether they like or not. I was over the social media where I saw I think a dumb, possibly a dumb. I think a dumb is someone that cannot speak. He was pushing. There was a video in him and people were laughing. I put him on social media. He was with Bible pushing but he was not able to make a voice. To make a sound for us to be able to understand. He was just making that sound that he thought he was communicating. Now if a man that cannot speak is going around pushing with that mouth, with that voice. Then you say you have the whole time not to do it. I think judgment will be hard on us. Hallelujah. All the apostles say I am a debtor to them. If I don't push to them I don't think that God will be happy with me. So Paul was trying to bring a fact that every Christian that doesn't push the gospel are debtors. Every other Christian forgets about their position. That fail to push to sinners are debtors. The church is gradually losing evangelism as a cardinal pursuit. May I say it clearly, we are not all saved to be gathering here and be seated down every time. If Jesus observed that a church doesn't wean more souls around them, doesn't care about the perishing souls around them, Jesus will have problems with that church. There is no way, there is no how it can be backing you up to be sleeping, backing you up to be sitting down, backing you up, supporting you, providing for you, just for you to sit down. It doesn't work like that. And we men of God that benefited from evangelism, it was in evangelism that God blessed some of us. While we were going after evangelism, many doors began to open. Now those doors as they have opened, we have become so relaxed that we are careless about the souls. You know people become more serious when the Lord starts causing issues. That is why you will start shaking your financial life. And the place where you put your money, the business and the investment, you will shut it down so that everybody can go back to that work it caught us for. That is why you make some losses in your business. That is why where you invested your money, there is issue there. Because the people attention and focus have left the primary assignment what God has called them for. They are pursuing the modern things of this world. They are becoming evangelists of business. Have you seen people? When you meet them, the first thing they tell you is their business, not salvation. Evangelist of what? Business. They can put air time in their phone and begin to call 100 people. You will think that the 100 people they call, 50 what they talk about Jesus. You know what I tell the 100 people about their business. If the Holy Spirit visits our WhatsApp and we have shattered 50 people within this month or last month, you will discover that 50 of the conversation was not about Jesus. Because we are evangelizing for money, not the gospel again. But the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation. And as Paul was passionate about it, so also should every one of us be what? Passionate. The sinners are perishing. They are going to eternal domination where their soul will never come out. Your responsibility is to go to them and preach the gospel which is the power of God unto salvation. Which is the power of God unto salvation. So Paul said, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. He went further and said, I am ready. I don't know who is ready yet. Are you ready? Paul said, I am what? Ready. You know some people will say, well let me go and think about it before I come back. Paul said, there is no need to think about it. I am what? Ready to push. Personally, I have made it known to you that any Christian that doesn't see evangelism as a superior mandate, I don't count that person as a serious Christian. There is nothing you will tell me. Because the great commission that Jesus left with us was to go into the world. You cannot be stubborn and disobedient to Jesus. You expect us to respect you. And sometimes evil titles make people to be irresponsible. You will see a young man or a young woman starving in the Lord the moment you confide title on them. They die down. Deceived by evangelism die down. Someone is committed to the Lord the moment that person is being promoted in the religious cycle. You will start hearing things like, I don't have time like before. My brother, what were you doing before the title came? My sister, what were you doing before the promotion? I don't have time like before. Nobody is finally consigned over the perishing ones around them. There is a perishing neighbor at your side. Perishing sister at your side. Someone you laugh with everyday. There is an old man in your compound, in your neighborhood. Who doesn't know that Jesus saved you? You are laughing plain. You don't know that anybody found around you, in your neighborhood, their soul will be required from their hands. We must pray for passion. Passion for the unsaved people. We are feeling less concerned about them. They are dying everyday. They are going to hell everyday. Believe us, never see any reason to rescue the perishing. When you are working in the industry, you are working in chemical industry or petroleum industry. Even in modern industries, they will put what we call the alarm at every juncture. That alarm is for you to, you know, immediately there is danger or you sense danger. That alarm is for you to eat it and give awareness to everybody in that industry that there is what? There is danger. Praise the Lord. You give and you make sure you strike. You press the button of the alarm sector and you will start hearing noise in the whole of the industry. Saying that there is fire. It is a sign that there is fire or there is danger. Giving a warning, a precaution, that danger is looming. Everybody escape for your life. Let the professionals come and quench the fire. And you see Christians who are not sounding the alarm again. That eternal judgment of God is coming. For the wages of sin is death and the soul that sinned shall die. Believers are not sounding the warning again. Danger is everywhere. Believers are sleeping. No passion for souls. You see the reason the last time you heard the Holy Ghost was the last time you were passionate? You don't see the reason that the last time you heard the Holy Ghost was the last time you were passionate? Well, let's re-hear God again. You know why you are not? You know, in a family, for example, you will not see the father sitting down the children to discuss serious what matters. Two of us. Two of us. We are not there again. If it is true, say true. The father cannot sit down children to discuss serious what matters. Is discussing serious matter with the wife or the brothers and sisters? Not the children. They won't understand. So that's how many of us are in the house of God. Jesus cannot sit you down. Because He knows that you are not serious. So how will Jesus be telling you about His burden for the whole territory when you are not serious? He will just tell you at the end of it. You know what you will do? You will just bond yourself on bed and sleep. He doesn't pain you because you know what pain is when there is no money at all. That is when you see the man crying. That is what pain the man. It is not when the soul. And that is why the Lord will bring a certain lack of some season. To wear your heart and discover that when there is lack of some season, the man will start crying. The man is disturbed. But he is not disturbed over the perishing sinners around him. He has forgotten that he is a stranger. He thought that he came to this world to live forever. So he is not doing anything that has eternal reflection. He is not doing anything. It is not sad to find out that even in our church we have victims here. That you have been a priest there for more than five years. Not one soul you have. Karikasha Christianity. Self-centered Christianity. You cannot say you have one convert. It is a sad thing. You know why you are not having convert? It is because you are not going after evangelism. You are not going after evangelism. And this is the kind of Christianity we are practicing in Africa today. Everybody sits down. Our church is becoming a comfort zone. A man of God prayed a prayer. He said, Lord send persecution over the churches in Nigeria. Let there be persecution again. Because we are too relaxed. And that is why we are now shifting our focus from building men to building women. And that is why we are now shifting our focus from building men to building buildings. So you see that we move from social capacity of building to a bigger capacity of building. So we are not using money to build buildings we desire for fire. Because the Bible says that God will destroy the earth with fire. No longer missionaries in the field again. Everybody feels comfortable. If this Christianity we are practicing was at the early church practice Christianity. I tell you the truth, it would not have passed the first century. If at all, if last, it would have been just the first century. But the Bible says that they sealed their testimony. I mean it is revealed that they sealed their testimony with their blood. The gospel you are enjoying today, somebody died for it. Not only Jesus. Jesus died as a message. But there are people that died as the messengers. Jesus is the message, but there are messengers that carried Jesus the message to go and preach. Many of them died too. The Christianity that you are feeling alright at home, is the same Christianity that made some 70 people to be placed in prison for many years till they died. Because they preached the gospel. If we are not going to preach the gospel, if we are not going to preach the gospel, posterity will not forgive us. The next generation will not forgive us if we will not tell them the truth that saved a man. God said I am not ashamed. And in verse 16 he said, for I am not ashamed. We need to have that passion for the perishing soul. Let us go to the book of Ezekiel chapter 18. Ezekiel chapter 18. Ezekiel chapter 18. My prayer to God for every one of us here, is that after this meeting, the Lord will put body in our heart for evangelism. I think that mass evangelism we are doing, is becoming a tool for the devil to weaken our evangelical life. I don't know much, but every church I have served under, every church since I got born again, that were doing mass evangelism, their evangelism never passed one year. Because I have served in many churches. Any church you see that they say, we always come this day for evangelism, you are giving the members full authority not to evangelize. Because many of them will not come. Find out if there are still few people that are doing it. Because in that church, the first church I gave my life to Christ, it was still few people. Even among the workers, few people. And I was among the few. And that is why I am telling you that every church I have served, that are going after mass evangelism, the evangelism was never effective. We never brought any new person inside the church, and the person remained as a member. Everyone I brought into that church, we went after personal worth evangelism. By the grace of God, I have Spanish Fathers and Daughters across nations, not only Nigeria. Every one of them, I started doing it from personal worth evangelism. Either I go there alone, or I carry two or three persons with me to go and preach. And that was how I have been reaping from the harvest. When they tell me that any member is sick, my first thought about that member is, is that member born again? Because anybody can go to heaven. Anybody can go to eternity. If that person is going to heaven, that is of a major concern. That is why the Bible says, For I wash over your soul. It says, Obey them that have the good over you. For they watch over your soul. Not your body. Not your body. We may not be able to wash over your body, but we want to be sure that your spirit finds rest after death. And that is why we tell you the truth. If it is after your body, we will not be able to do it, because you must have stubborn. But we keep preaching the gospel to make sure that your spirit or your soul finds rest at the end of your journey on earth. So it says, Obey them that have the good over you. For they watch over your soul. As one that will give birth to another. For they watch over your soul. As one that will give birth to another. That they may do it with joy and not with grief. God is here, even in this place of work. He is still preaching the gospel. And since I come forth this year, even in your place of work, you are preaching the gospel. And every one of us, we are preaching the gospel. Wherever we find ourselves. How can you preach the gospel when your life is contrary to the gospel? There was a great man that said, he made a quote. I may not be able to quote it the same way. He said, I love your Jesus, but I don't love your Christians. Because they are different from their Jesus. He said, I love your Christ, but I don't love your Christians. Because there is a contrary. When you bring Jesus, and bring Christians, you see a contradiction. You begin to wonder if they are truly serving this Jesus. Ezekiel chapter 18. I read from verse 4. Ezekiel chapter 18 verse 4. It says, behold, all souls are mine, as I am their Lord. It says, behold, all souls are mine, as is the soul of the Father, so also the soul of what? The Son is mine. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. Verse 5. But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right, and hath not eaten upon the mountain, neither hath lifted up his eyes to idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbor's wife, neither hath come near to a miserous woman. Let us go to verse 24. Okay, let us go to verse 27. Verse 27. Again, when the wicked turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save what? His soul. That is what the gospel does. It makes a sinner to turn away from that which is not good to that which is good. God has said that the soul that sinneth shall die, but the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Preaching the gospel is a way of rescuing them from eternal damnation. Let us preach. Do you know that people are more concerned about such goods Let me explain what I mean. Everybody just wants the church to be full. Am I right? Not with whether they are saved or not. We just want them, whether they are born again or not, let them just come. Let them take over the position. Let them take over this department. Let them just come like that. If they are not saved, let them come. Let the church just be full. Let us have an overflowing crowd because their eternal soul is not the watchfulness of those men of God. So the messages they give to them these are messages that make them to feel alright even in sin. I think the church needs to be evangelized again. I know if Jesus was to be in our time, He would not only say let us go into all the world. He would say let us go into all the world and all the churches. Because I feel and I think that they are becoming more sinners in the church than in the world. But at the same time, the gospel of God is the power of God unto salvation. We have tracts in this church. We have flyers in this church. Giving of flyers is good but that is not the gospel. Giving of tracts is good but that is not the preaching of the gospel. What you are doing, you are doing it is good, it is nice, God loves it. But preach the gospel. If someone rejects you there, go there and preach. Someone may reject you in the north, go to the south to preach. Let us not deceive ourselves. Some of us are saying that we don't have time to preach. Why are you lying? You have an employment today and they employ you to be working in a school or you are working in a company or organization. Won't you spend your more time there? You know when it comes to church, everybody gives excuses. You will see the same people doing that for money and you say I am not worshipping money. Who tells you I am not worshipping money? Some of you are worshipping money. Some of you are worshipping your comfort zone. The idolatry of comfort zone. Some of you are even worshipping sleep. I don't have time to spend but you have time to sleep. You are worshipping sleep. The Lord is not happy that we are not passionate after the perishing world. The people are leaving church after Sunday service. People will leave churches in Nigeria from churches to be at parlor and they have been doing that for the past five years. What messages are these pastors preaching? That someone can be an adulterer in a church for five years and there is no message confronting that thing. You know why? It is the financier of the church. If you confront him, you have destroyed the financier. Money will not come in again. The church will be struggling like our own. There will be heat. We are feeling hot now. If you confront him, many people will leave because he is influencing many people. Not this church. We rather suffer while standing on the truth than to massage the ego of a man who is an enemy of God. Ye adulterers and adulteresses know ye not that friendship with this world is immunity with God. Whosoever loves this world is an enemy of God. An enemy of God and that is why we push the truth here. We tell you the truth. Go and push. Go to your neighborhood. Go to your friends. Tell your neighbor, you don't know why the Spirit of God maybe this may not be the first message coming to you this week. Maybe only this week the Lord will be speaking to your heart about the evangelism. Now look at the message coming from a woman. A lady bought, she told me of a man she wanted to get married to, praise the Lord, and gave my phone number to the man that the man should call me. The man called me now, praise the Lord, and I told the man, I said, well, you want to marry my daughter in the Lord, so to say, is she a Christian? Of course everybody say what? She's a Christian. I said, okay, this is how we do it. Yeah, I know you don't know me, you have never seen me, but this is how we do it. We don't want a marital sexual relationship. That means you will not be, you have no right to know the nakedness of this lady till after wedding. He said, okay, sir. I said, don't do that to her. He said, okay, sir. You know what happened? After the end of, after I hung up the call, I eventually left the city room, and the lady called me, we just finished the conversation, and the lady called him. You know what the lady told him? The guy was complaining to the lady that, ah, like that your mentor, your father-in-law is too harsh. I don't think I can do what he said. You know what the lady said, and that is why I removed my hand from there, anything apart from that date till now. The lady said, ah, though my name is, that is dispensing for you, that is so-and-so called my name for you, and the lady kept going there, they are sleeping with one another. They are Christian. I said, they are what? They said they are Christian. I mean they are going to church, but they don't say anything bad with a marital sexual relationship. You know when we start pushing and talking against it, I would say, these pastors are too, they are too hard. Don't push this message to them. The word is hard. Don't push the hard message to them. John the Baptist will even say, repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He was pushing with cursing. Go and read the book of Matthew chapter 3. Go and see the way forward. He was calling them brood of vipers. Imagine me going to a place where we have sinners and say, you serpentine people, because you are hard, you are stubborn, but thank God Jesus has given us a message that can bring men to the kingdom, the gospel of Christ. So tell me, you know why I remove my hand from their matters? Let me tell you one reason. The Bible says, do not unequal you together with an unbeliever. Someone is telling you that he cannot stop sleeping with you because he is married. That he has to continue till what? Marriage. And you are saying he is born again? When a believer, when a sister in the church or a brother in the church, is still wanting to marry an unbeliever, we fear for that person. Maybe you don't know the stories, the danger of the story of marrying what? An unbeliever. And pastors say we should not talk about this as long as a man has money and has time. And they do wonderful weddings. Have you forgotten that this person that is marrying this person, the soul will be acquired from your hand? Would you preach the gospel to them? They need to be saved. We have people in the church who have not been saved. How then will the gospel be preached? We have thieves in the church who have not been saved. We have fornicators in the church who have not been saved and we are saying that you go out, a fornicator will never go out to preach the gospel. It is his duty also. When our testimony outside there is bad, we will not have the goodness to preach. When people are saying bad about us out there, we will not have the gospel to preach. Because there is a life that is lived in the church and there is a life that is lived in the world at home. The Lord is calling us. The Lord is calling us. So Paul the apostle says, he is passionate, look at what God says in the book of Ezekiel, that the gospel has the power to make a sinner to turn away from sin. How do you preach the gospel? Tell them of Jesus. We thank God for the wonderful testimonies we are hearing in this church but the testimony of what God is doing in this church is not the gospel. Hallelujah. And it is happening in every church. If you come to my church, every blind man will see. We thank God that God is doing mighty work in this church but it is still not the gospel. Telling them that God is using your man of God telling them that your church has all the assorted instruments and musical instruments and your church is the biggest church in the whole world cannot save a sinner. Not evil a sinner. What do you need to tell them? Tell them about Jesus. Tell them about his love. Tell them about his death. Tell them about the price that Jesus has paid for God so loved the world. That he gave his only son to be saved. Tell them of Jesus Christ. As we are going home this evening you are going back to your neighbors before you enter your house you are going to at least preach it to someone. I want us to come to the point where we can make commitments and telling the Lord that in a week I must preach to at least four sinners every week. You don't need to announce it.
