The main idea of this information is that performance testing is important and should influence what you do. It is emphasized that you should not have preconceived ideas about performance testing before actually getting into it. There is a lot of variation in testing between locations and situations, even within sports. Not all performance testing serves its intended purpose, so you need to find what works for you. There are resources available at phpodcast.com, including a web show and articles, to help you navigate and understand performance testing. Becoming a member will give you access to these resources, as well as a forum to ask questions and engage with the community. The next week's episode will continue the discussion on testing. This was a doozy. We talked a ton, and I mean a ton, about all things performance testing. One of the things that I hope you took from this is performance testing is really important from the context of it has to have an influence on what you're doing.
