Nothing to say, yet
In this conversation, the topic is about the Great Sin. The speaker, Paul, agrees with C.S. Lewis that pride is the Great Sin. They discuss how pride caused the devil to be cast out of heaven and how it is often overlooked as a sin. Paul also mentions that he believes blaspheming the Holy Spirit is the greatest sin with no forgiveness. For the next topic, there is a chapter that is called, What is the Great Sin? What does the Great Sin mean to you, Paul? So, in the book, Lewis describes the Great Sin as pride or self-conceit, and this is a quote that goes accordingly. According to Christian teachers, the essential vice, the almost evil, is pride. Unchastity, anger, greed, drunkenness, and all that are mere leovites in comparison. It was through pride that the devil became the devil. Pride leads to every other vice. It is the complete anti-God state of mind. What do you think is the Great Sin? Yeah, I would agree that pride is definitely a great sin. That's ultimately what caused the devil to be cast out of heaven, and a lot of people think that pride is, it's not a sin because you're not really hurting anybody by being pride, but that's one of God's biggest things, is that he resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. But ultimately, what I think is the greatest sin, I think, is blaspheming the Holy Spirit. I believe that's the one sin that there is no forgiveness for. So that's what I think is the greatest sin, but I can see why C.S. Lewis picked pride, because that is a very big sin that a lot of people don't even think is a sin.
