Airtime is a community that includes podcasts and aims to fight food insecurity on Madison's Eastside. They have created paid membership tiers that offer access to discussion forums, book and movie reviews, and chats. The community focuses on listening deeply to the divine around us and within us. The guided meditation combines breath awareness with self-compassion. The practice encourages breathing with love and offering each breath as an act of self-love. The meditation reminds us to thank the plants for the oxygen they provide and encourages engagement in the Airtime community. Okay, welcome to Airtime. As you know, podcasts are just part of this Airtime community. To help fight food insecurity on Madison's Eastside and continue building this community, we've created paid membership tiers that give access to discussion forums, book and movie reviews, chats and more. However you choose to engage in this community, we work to listen more deeply to the divine always around us, the divine within us, divine within others, and the divine throughout creation. I hope this finds you well today, and that this meditation brings you some sense of greater care for yourself. This guided meditation combines awareness of the breath with compassion for the self. In this practice, we will use the breath and our breathing as a tool to support the cultivation of self love. Sometimes we refer to this practice literally as breathwork. Let's get started. To begin, settle into a seated position. Elongate your spine and relax your shoulders. Closing your eyes when you're ready. Ground your attention into the surface beneath you. Whether it's a chair, a floor, or something else. And notice that you are supported. Sense the energy of the space supporting you. Notice the energy or presence of the surface holding you, as well as the air surrounding you. In any way that feels comfortable for you, take a few long, clearing breaths. Invite your thoughts to soften with each out breath. Continue to notice the natural flow of your breath. For a few moments of silence, allow the breath to flow as its own depth and pace. Each breath we take supports the body. So each breath is like an act of love. You are invited to breathe with this awareness, letting each breath be an offering of love to your body. As you inhale, feel a sense of love, compassion, and kindness growing inside of you. And let each exhale help you soften your thinking mind and any tension that you might be holding. Each breath fills you with love, which awakens the energy of self-compassion. As you continue to breathe now, you might repeat, I love myself with each breath I take. I love myself with each breath I take. I love myself with each breath I take. Continue to sense into the energy of compassion that fills you. It fills you from inside and from outside. I love myself with each breath I take. I love myself with each breath I take. I love myself with each breath I take. Stay here a little while longer. And if you notice your mind wanders away, just return to the flow of your loving breath. Sense into this loving breath for a few final moments now. Release any words from your mind now, breathing naturally. Sense into the surface supporting you. Reconnect with your physical body by welcoming some light movement. You might want to gently wiggle your fingers or your toes. And whenever you're ready, you can slowly open your eyes, letting loving breaths continue to support you throughout your day. Friends, thanks for taking time to breathe with me. To know that the oxygen we breathe has been gifted to us by the plants in our world. Honor the plants and givers of oxygen in our lives. You can quietly or not so quietly say thanks. It is a beautiful thing to do. As a reminder, if you want to take a deeper dive into the Airtime page, you can engage in the community chats and posts, discussions. Comment on book or movie reviews and always add your own. Reach out with another post or a chat. Let's just keep building this Airtime community. Always work on love. It's our job. .
