By observing changes in weight, the analysis can determine how a compound reacts to increasing or decreasing temperatures. Good morning and good afternoon one and all, myself Dr. Manish Panek working as an assistant professor in department of chemistry. Today we are going to learn what is thermal matter analysis. So it is the basic part of chemistry in which the method which is used to find out physical and chemical properties of a compound in presence of temperature. As we know, as we increase temperature, decrease temperature, the properties of any compound changes and we are measuring what are the changes observed by the compound. For example, if we are increasing temperature, if your compound is going to decompose, there is decreasing weight. So there are various techniques in which we are measuring how much amount of weight is lost when we are increasing temperature or we are decreasing temperature. That is known as thermal matter analysis. Thank you very much.
