The talk is about spoken word for social change, specifically focusing on the experiences and perspectives of black women. It discusses the concept of womanism, created by Alice Walker, which explores how the stories of black women can lead to self-healing and love. The speaker emphasizes the importance of changing the words we speak to create a new reality and live the life we want. The talk also touches on the power of the subconscious mind and the need to confront our fears and emotions. The speaker encourages listeners to embark on a journey of self-discovery and live a spiritual life. You're listening to Evolve with Pamela G. from Studio West 502 on your mobile drive. What does this talk about? It's spoken word for social change. How story is a journey of self-help and self-love, raising awareness and highlighting the role black woman has played and the experiences we have in our lives and community. This is a black woman's perspective as we reclaim our words. We resist cultural erasure and other destructive forces that take place in our home and community. So what is this womanism? Womanism was created by Alice Walker as a tool for looking at how the stories created by black women embark upon a journey of self-healing and love. It's a cultural experience about how changing the words you speak can begin to speak into a new reality and create the life you want to live. The thoughts move like the speed of light from your subconscious mind, but you can fly with me across a wilder sky into your subconscious mind. Look at it from an elevated state of life and view that part of yourself that lingers in the shadows, appear when you're scared, but don't be alarmed of what you may meet. It's only the member that evokes strong emotions and feelings. We're moving through a mantle of fear, doubt, and anger. Don't blame it. Name-calling or projecting your darkness onto somebody else. Sit back, get your favorite cup of coffee, tea, or whatever you prefer. I'll be your guide as we deep dive. This trip is only for the brave, those who want to take an honest look. I'm not a psychologist, but I am a Buddhist practitioner for over 35 years. I've studied this Buddhism, which is a study of a mind, to understand myself and my motivations for living. But this is your story. As you journey across the surface of the earth one step at a time, each challenge you conquer moves you closer to the center. And before you know it, you're at the core. It's fluid. From there, you can create the life you want for yourself, your children, and the world. The first poem that I'm going to read is called Unchained Melody. Greetings from the ancient land. Egyptians lived a spiritual life. Lived in daily contact with gods and kings. I'm Sashita, an ancient scribe. Record keeper for true community. Literature holds up a mirror. Shows a reflection of society. I believe in another life. More richer than one we've been living. We're capable of creating abundance. Living a purposeful life. Other than being consumed by material things. It's time to bring out the divine. Lying dormant in our lives. It's time to resist war. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life. It's time to live a spiritual life.
