I am a transgender artist from the U.S. I admit for most of my life I didn't think I could compose anything. The first time I took college level music theory classes it went over my head... granted I was dealing with transitioning at the time, and my family disowning me at the time so my bandwidth for other stuff was pretty limited. Recently I went through one of the online music theory courses and this time around everything made sense and so I started giving a go at composing my own music.
