El Sistema Solar és el conjunt de planetes que giren al voltant del Sol. Està conformat per planetes, satèl·lits, asteroides, esters... I més enllà d'aquest sistema, abunden estrelles, galàxies i coses encara no descobertes. Què passaria si hi hagués un nou planeta? Com no hi ha prou espai entre Mercuri i el Sol, estaria al costat d'un actiu, fent que fos el planeta més fred al Sistema Solar, i no hi podríem viure. Què és la gravetat? La gravetat és la força per la qual un planeta o una altra cosa atreu objectes cap al seu centre. La força de la gravetat manté tots els planetes en òrbita al voltant del Sol. Així, qualsevol cosa que tingui una massa de qualsevol mena, agressarà o estarà sota la influència de la gravetat. Com s'ha creat? Es va formar a partir d'un dens núvol de gas i pols interstellars. Fa uns 4 milions d'anys, aquest núvol va col·lapsar possiblement a causa de l'onada de xoc d'una estrella propera, en explosió anomenada Supernova. Com a conseqüència del col·lapse, es va formar una nebulosa solar i va néixer el Sistema Solar.
