Nothing to say, yet
The speaker is discussing their interest in fashion and their observation that men seem to put more effort into their outfits than women. They have invited two guests, Dora Poe and Chika, who are involved in the fashion industry, to discuss the topic. They mention their own background in modeling and their renewed interest in fashion. They also mention their intention to invest in a fashion business and their observation that more men own fashion businesses than women. Yeah, it's nice to be having this conversation with you. Yeah, it does look a little bit of a background. I was just jokingly on WhatsApp, and I just put it on my screen. I was thinking about men, women, and fashion, and I was like, I think I've seen more men put up with, you know, outing, or outfits, rather, than women, based on what I've seen. I mean, I was expecting people to, you know, also, I feel like men tend to, like, do up, and then women would be like, that's wrong, like, sexy, you know what I'm saying? I was really for it, I mean, and it doesn't look like an opinion I really held to heart. I just, you know, just messing it up, and then. Yeah, the question came around, and it turns out men agree to this concept. So, yes, on today's theme, so I'm going to be talking about fashion. This is different from all the things before, but yeah, this is the journey we're taking. At this point, at this particular period in my journey, I'm thinking about fashion, so, let's talk about fashion. And I have two amazing people with me in this discussion today. They are fashion people as well, some of the fashionistas that I've seen in my network, and I feel, I'm not so knowledgeable about fashion, relatively, so let me invite people that are into fashion right now, that love fashion, and are really into it. So, I have Sipa, and I have a friend of mine, Dora Poe, I was not going to introduce myself, but no, we have the culture in this podcast, and of course, the introduction. We only give you 30 seconds to introduce yourself. We do this because we believe that if you have a shorter time to introduce yourself, you only mention the important things, and keep out the unnecessary jargon, because otherwise, it's going to be a disaster. All right, so I'm going to start with Dora Poe. Dora Poe, you have 30 seconds, and you introduce yourself. Okay, hi, hello, 30 seconds, that's enough. My name is Dora Poe Ishigaya, and I'm a full-time product manager, and there's this thing they call fashionista, so I think, I think I'm a fashionista, and yeah, but I will agree to the fact that I'm a lifestyle artist, so let me put it that way. I just hope I'm able to save time for you. Wow, wow, okay, that was right on time. Lifestyle artist, that's an interesting thing to say. Okay, I'm moving on to Chika. Chika, 30 seconds, introduce yourself. Okay, hi, my name is Chika Kuma, and I'm a business owner, fashion, fashion engineer. I mean, fashion is a lifestyle that includes everything, so that's my niche. Amazing, amazing. Well, you guys are doing pretty outstanding work. Okay, so I've brought these two amazing people to discuss fashion, and I've titled this episode Fashion in Man's Business, and I think I'm kind of tilted towards that particular point. I mean, I was, so I think before we got into all this, the episode, I was telling you a bit about my background, and I was telling you about this period where I was actually a model, and I was thinking about, you know, pursuing fashion as like a side carrier or something like that. Yeah, of course, I got into tech, all of those dreams disappeared, and I mean, I just thought about it again, like, early this year, and I was like, okay, let's start looking back into this business of fashion, and not just the business for appearance, and of course, looking into how we can improve the fashion statement in the country, and so, I mean, I've been wanting to talk about investing into some business in fashion as well, so, and then I started becoming more intentional about my appearance and my ways as well, and then I, of course, because I was intentional about myself, I started intentionally looking at other people, checking out what they wear, so I can probably take some lessons, learn from them, and so, combine this this way, and let me see if I can try that out, you know, something like that, and then, I saw something on the other side. I saw the people that, you know, put in little or no effort, not to be rude or anything, because, I mean, I was once like that, and then, I tried to do, like, a ratio between the ladies and the guys, and I felt like, I think I enjoyed, and I'll be careful, like, of course, if there were ladies that were really doing something amazing, I'm sure I would have seen it too, right, I've definitely seen some ladies doing some things too, right, I mean, that's why we have Chika here, so, yeah, and then I was into the business, it was time to actually get my hands into a fashion business itself, so I went and did some research, some market research about how fashion businesses scale, and then I realized that more men own fashion businesses than women, so that was the first shock I got, so I'm not going to dig it up, but,
