She emphasizes the need for dedication, perseverance, and a growth mindset. The podcast will continue with more strategies in the future. Good morning, this is Mindset for Impact podcast. I am still your one and only host, Abike Olashope. I don't want, today is the first day of July 2003, and because I have a goal to achieve, I will not let my voice that is cracked, I will not let it be a deterrent for me to achieve this goal. So this morning I am going to start, I am having a fresh start at life. So today's topic is having a fresh start at my life goal. How do you have a fresh start at your life goal? First of all, having a fresh start is to pick up your goals again, either from where you left it or start all over, due to circumstances beyond your control. Having a fresh start can be very exciting and transformative. It's a sign of resilience and a hope that you are not defeated, that you are not giving up on your goals. And so, the following strategies, there are 10 strategies that I have now researched out, on this episode I am going to treat just five. And these strategies are as follows. Number one, take a moment to reflect on where you stand currently. Assess it and take an inventory of your strengths, your weakness and your areas of improvement. Invariably, what I am saying here is you must add a SWOT analysis your strength, weakness, your opportunities and threats. What are those things that you need to put in place? Moreover, while you do this, you will be able to find out if where you stand currently, the path you are, aligns with your true passion and your values. Number two, have a clearly defined life goal. You must be articulate and why it is important to you, because your why will propel you to keep on going. Even when there is a lot of discouragement along the way, let your goals be SMART. That is, your goals must be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and definitely have a time bound. When you set a time around your goal, it will give you a goal, a sense of goal to achieve, a target. Number three, create a vision board, a life plan, overall your life plan. That is, you must be able to create a mental picture or a video of the step by step things you need to do to achieve your goal. You must have a picture that will motivate you and propel you and serve as a good reminder of what you want to achieve. Definitely, I have no other courage to have a vision board, because I do not have the technology or I feel that the pictures I am having are still not good enough. But definitely, within this month of my challenge of having a fresh start, I am going to have a vision board myself. Number four, have specific targets for the milestone you want to achieve. This is by breaking down your goals into smaller, achievable steps. This is to help you maintain focus and having a sense of progress along the way. Don't forget to celebrate. Every time you achieve this milestone, celebrate yourself that you have accomplished that goal and move on. You must also have a deadline for each of these milestones, just to keep you accountable. This is apart from having an accountability partner, somebody to motivate you along the way and ask you how you are doing. Number five, research and seek out guidance. Gather information about your goals. Read books, attend seminars, either free or paid seminars. Seek mentors, because you need people's shoulders to climb upon, because they have been there. They have gotten to where you are aiming to get to. Take counsel from them, so as to gain knowledge and skills. You must also be able to move with people, take counsel from people that are there already. All the things you are aspiring to do, you are aiming for, somebody has been there before. This is where we are going to stop today. I'm going to drop the curtain there, because I do not want this podcast, this episode to be long, because I have a goal to achieve. But be reminded, it is very important that you have a fresh start, and this requires, number one, dedication, perseverance, and a growth mindset. Be determined. And have the right strategies at your fingertips, then you will be amazed at your progress. This is still your one and only audition at the Keola School, on the Mindset for Impact podcast.
