Latin is the prominent language in medicine due to its structure and discipline, which aid in understanding modern science. Despite being considered dead, Latin remains influential and important in various ways, including its role in the development of medicine. It continues to be the root of modern science and is regarded as the most superior language in the field. Hey everybody, and welcome back to Little Latin Lessons for Language Lovers, where I give little lessons on Latin and the cultural impacts of this fascinating language. This last episode of How the Latin Language in Roman Culture Influenced Medicine is called Why Latin is the Prominent Language in Medicine. Now that we've gone through the development of Roman medicine, it's time to connect the dots. How does this all relate to Latin? A website detailing why homeschoolers should take Latin says that Latin gives modern science both structure and discipline for better understanding. All that to say, science is saturated in Latin. While the lines were faded between what is Greek and what is Roman as far as medicine goes, Latin has always prevailed as the most prominent language in medicine. Latin is such a powerful and long-standing language. Despite centuries passing and not truly owning the ideas, Latin still prevails as the root of modern science. This is a huge part of why Latin is the language that it is. Latin continues to reign as the most superior language in science through years and years. Latin is such an influential and important language, even if it's considered dead. Latin is very important in so many ways, and this highlights only one of them.
