This recording is about becoming your own best friend. Find a comfortable position and close your eyes. Focus on your breath and imagine a beautiful light moving through your body, releasing tension. This is a journey to learn more about and appreciate yourself. Imagine floating and drifting, then walking through a garden. You see yourself sitting on a bench. Sit next to yourself and ask how you are feeling. Notice the person you truly are and what you need. Be your best friend, supporting and loving yourself. Feel a change within you, being kind and gentle. Notice the good things about yourself and see through the eyes of gentleness and love. Merge with a golden light and feel lighter and free. Return to the present moment, feeling different and enjoying this newfound sense of calmness. Open your eyes with a gentle, loving feeling. Hi, this is Naomi from Leading Light with Naomi, and this recording about becoming your own best friend is to be listened to while seated or lying down in a comfortable position, never while doing something that needs your focus or full attention. So just finding that comfy space and closing down your eyes, and with your eyes closed, just noticing the feeling of whatever is beneath you, the chair, the couch, the bed, just noticing the air around you and noticing your breath, bringing your awareness to your breath as you breathe in and breathe out. And as you relax in this place, just imagining a beautiful light slowly moving through your body, just releasing, relaxing, letting go any tension, any tightness, any discomfort just melting away, drifting away, giving yourself this moment to relax and go deeper. This recording is for you today to learn more about you, to learn to appreciate you, and maybe even start the journey to loving you. For some this may come easily, for others it may feel uncomfortable at first, but as you know this is a journey, and every journey starts with the first step. So in this place, I just want you to allow yourself, give yourself permission to let go, give yourself permission to relax, and as you relax, I want you to imagine a part of you can float and drift and dream, up, up, up, out of your body, a part of you can float and drift and dream, and as you float and drift, you feel good. Going deeper in this place, I want you to imagine yourself walking through a garden. It's a beautiful day, the sun is shining, you are walking down a path, and just up ahead you see a bench seat, and as you walk towards that bench seat, you notice there is someone sitting on that seat, and as you walk closer and closer, you see that someone is you. I want you to stop for a moment and just look, just look at you, just notice you. What do you look like? How are you feeling? Just notice yourself sitting there, move closer now, move closer to them, they turn to you, they look at you, do they smile? Just notice how you look, I want you to imagine now going and sitting next to you, and when you do that, how do they feel? I want you to ask them, how are you? How are you feeling? Are you okay? And I want you to see yourself there, see yourself as you truly are, and just notice, notice everything about you as you see yourself. You see your happy times, you see your sad times, you see your vulnerability and all the things that you have been through, and all the things that you have achieved. I want you to just sit there and notice the person that you truly are, the person that's been through so much, and as you look at you, what is the one thing that you need to know now? I want you to notice as you look at you, do you see someone who deserves a good life? Do you see someone who is lovable? What is it that you see? What is it that you need right now? Do you need love? Do you need support? I want you to imagine now that you can be your best friend, that you can be the one there to support you. I want you to imagine putting your arm around the you sitting there. Imagine letting them know that you are there for them. There may be other things you want to say to them, and I'm going to give you a moment to do this. Whatever comes to mind, just say it to you now. Be your best friend. As you have done this, you are going to feel a change within you, a sense of gentleness, kindness to yourself, a shift perhaps as you sit there with your arm around you. And you know that from this moment on, you will be kind and gentle to yourself. You will start to notice more all of the good things, qualities you like about yourself, and even when you look in the mirror, you notice the things about you that you like. You may notice in the past where there may have been unkind words. You start to hear kind, gentle, loving ones becoming your own best friend. So as you sit on that bent seat, I want you to imagine now the most beautiful golden light coming down on you both. And as it does, you close your eyes, feeling lighter, feeling free. You merge. You become one. You notice you feel different. You see through the eyes of gentleness. You see through the eyes of kindness and love for yourself. And as you walk back down the path, you feel so good. There's a new sense of calmness about you, a deep sense of being truly okay as you start drifting back into the room as one, drifting back into your body. You feel different. You feel lighter. And you feel free, enjoying this moment. I am now going to count from one to three, and when I count three, your eyes will open, still holding on to this wonderful, gentle, loving feeling. With a one, taking a breath in, two, starting to move your body, three, opening your eyes with that gentle, loving, kind feeling.
