The Blackwood Files is my current project. This is a very early demo that was used to cast Violet (eSnare).
A detective named Mr. Blackwood is approached by a beautiful woman named Violet Sinclair who is looking for help in finding her missing father. Mr. Blackwood agrees to take the case and asks for information about her father and his last known location. Now I've got a story to tell you, so why don't I start at the beginning. It was a cold Thursday night in the office. I was already deep in thought over the Maloney case that had hit my desk last week, and I just couldn't crack it. And, at that moment, I heard a knock at the door. This knock wasn't like any other knock I had heard at my office door. No, this knock was a light, easy gesture. I turned my back to see who was there, and I questioned if the malt whiskey I had moments ago was playing tricks on me. Standing there, in the old wooden door frame, was one of the most beautiful dames I had ever seen. She held a cigarette outward in her left hand. Her eyes scanned the room and looked at me up and down. She finally said something to me. Is this the office of Mr. Blackwood? I was hoping to acquire his services tonight. I was glad to hear work had come into the office, of course. Business had been slow, but what does such a delicate girl like her need from a man like me? I sat down at my desk and asked her the age-old question. So, what's in it for me? She slowly walked into the room, with the clack of her heels echoing faintly. She wore a long, red dress that sparkled in the shine of my desk lamp. Her walk commanded the room. Leaning over my desk, she began to speak to me again. So, you're Mr. Blackwood. Hmm. Well, mister, I was hoping to find some help locating my father. He's been missing for weeks and I'm oh so worried about him. It would, of course, come with some hefty payment. Well, Miss... Violet. Violet Sinclair. Well, Miss Sinclair. I would, of course, need to know the name of your father, along with his last known location. Oh, and some details about just the kind of man he is. All that might just help me find him.
