Week 11 Recap and Week 12 Predictions - Happy Thanksgiving!
In Week 11, the speaker discussed various NFL games and their predictions. They were surprised by some outcomes and not surprised by others. In Week 12, they made predictions for the upcoming games, including the Thanksgiving specials. They shared their thoughts on each game and their reasons for their predictions. The speaker expressed excitement about the upcoming weekend of football and promised to track their predictions. They also mentioned that the season is nearing the midway point and playoffs are approaching. Let's chat about week 11 and then week 12. Week 11, a lot of things happened. Some things that I was a little surprised about, some things that I was not so surprised about. So let's dive in, starting with the Titans at the Packers. I said that Green Bay just got lucky going up against Dallas and that they're really not doing that great. I did catch part of the game, mostly it was the fourth quarter. It looked to me like Aaron Rodgers is doing okay. But based on what I saw, he doesn't have a team around him. I only saw five minutes of the game, if I'm being honest with y'all. What I did see of it, it just looked like Aaron Rodgers was doing a lot and his wide receivers did not know how to run routes. It was just a big mess. The defense for Green Bay did show up at the end, but the offense could not keep up. Then we have this game that I did not get to watch. First week, I've missed a Cowboys game. So that's that. The reason I missed it is I was actually at the Mavs game, which that's a whole other story about how that went on Sunday night. But the Cowboys actually ended up upsetting the Vikings, which kind of surprised a lot of people. I was on the other side of that coin. I put that the Vikings would win. I did not trust Dallas to pull off a win there and they ended up blowing it out of the water. So good job, Dallas. I shouldn't have doubted you, but I did. Bears at Falcons. I got this prediction correct. The Falcons did win. I don't really have much to say on that. Browns at Bills. The Bills did win and that was expected. Eagles at Colts. I got optimistic and I was like, maybe the Colts will defeat the Eagles and that did not happen. The Eagles ended up defeating the Colts, though the score was pretty close. Jets at Patriots. I put the Jets winning this game. Both teams were coming off the bye. The Jets did not win the game. The Patriots won. So good job, Patriots, for holding it at home. Rams at Saints. I was kind of undecided up until I started recording for this week and I ended up going with the Saints, who ended up completing that win. The Rams are just not doing as well as would be expected. The Saints, they were favored there and they won. Lions at Giants. Now, okay, I am very shocked. I really was a-shooin' for the Giants to win, though I don't prefer the Giants win. They lost at home against the Lions. I'm pretty impressed with the Lions for that one. I did not expect that. I expected the Giants to have an easy win there and they didn't. So, Lions won that game. As an NFC fan, NFC East fan of the Cowboys, I'm okay with any time that the Giants or the Eagles or the Commanders lose. Panthers at Ravens. The Ravens were off a bye week at home and I thought they would get that win and they sure did. Commanders at Texans. Now, this was a little optimistic of me. I thought the Texans could pull off a win if they really, really tried. I wasn't confident in my prediction of the Texans winning. Rightfully so. The Commanders won. So, the Texans still have a lot of losses going on with them. Raiders at Broncos. Both teams had lost in the previous week. I thought the Broncos would have an edge being at home, but they did not. The Raiders ended up taking that game. Interesting to see. Now, we've got the Bengals at the Steelers. And I put the Bengals as defeating the Steelers, which was correct. The Bengals were coming off the bye week. They just had some advantage there. They're a better team. Chase at Chargers. The Chase ended up winning, which I predicted and that was to be expected. I said it might be a fun game. I did not watch it. Then we had our Monday night football in Mexico game. 49ers at Cardinals, which I put them 49ers as winning and I was correct. Who would have thought? Jimmy G is a big topic right now, which I won't talk about much here, but he is a very hot topic. I'm going to have to do a top 10 QB list and rank all the QBs at some point. Jimmy G has caught my attention. He's caught mine and a lot of other people's attention. Here we go into week 12. Now, okay, real quick, week 11, not really that interesting. I ended up getting eight correct, six incorrect. Not bad. Eight correct, six incorrect. You win some, you lose some. Week 12. We have zero teams in the bi-week this week, so there's a lot of games to talk about here. 16 games, in fact. Thursday football, we've got a Thanksgiving special going on, the Giants at the Cowboys. I think this is going to be a tough game for the Cowboys. I really don't feel like we should lose this game, though. I mean, we lose so many Thanksgiving games and it's just so depressing every time. I end up turning the game off halfway through. But we're at home, it's traditional, it's going to be great. The atmosphere is going to be amazing. I'm going to go ahead and put the Cowboys as defeating the Giants, and that's wishful thinking, but I believe it's going to happen. Then the other Thanksgiving game, the Bills at the Lions. Now, I know the Lions are kind of on a streak right now, but I do think the Bills have an edge and they're going to take this game. Kind of interested to watch that one, though I know it will be during the thick of Thanksgiving time, right? But we'll see if I can get some time to watch that while hanging out with family. Patriots at Vikings. Oh, hoo, hoo, hoo! Thanksgiving as well. This is another Thursday game. Thursday night game, in fact. I know the Vikings lost to the Cowboys pretty badly this past week, but I do think they are going to win this game against the Patriots. I could be wrong on that. I honestly could see myself getting that one wrong, but I just feel like the Vikings being at home and after their upstate from last week, you know, they re-evaluated, they're coming back, they're going to win. Texans at Dolphins. That should be an easy win for the Dolphins. However, I will say I have seen teams, not necessarily the Texans, but I have seen teams who are losing a lot of games, have a really awful record. They can be potentially dangerous because they have nothing left to lose at that point, except for maybe a draft pick, right? So, the Dolphins are probably going to win that, but it might be tight. It could be, potentially, if the Texans get it together. Buccaneers at Browns. I'm sticking with Brady. He's picking it back up. They're going to win. Bengals at Titans. I think this might be a good game. I'm kind of, like, in between my answers. I put the Titans as defeating the Bengals, but I think it might be a close game, and I could end up being wrong on that. I just think the Bengals aren't playing as well as we would have thought, but you never know. A lot of things have been happening. Every week has been kind of full of surprises, in a way. Then we have the Bears at the Jets. Might be another tight game, but I do think the Jets will have an edge and pull out a win. Falcons at Commanders. I do think the Commanders have an edge, but I think the Falcons can pull off the win, and I also just don't want to root for the Commanders, so go Falcons. You're going to win. Broncos at Panthers. Now, I'm not sold on my prediction here. I did put the Broncos as defeating the Panthers. Not sold on it. I mean, it could go either way. Ravens at Jaguars. Ravens are going to win. This should be an easy one for them. Chargers at Cardinals. I think the Cardinals will win. Could be tight, but I do think the Cardinals can pull that one off. Raiders at Seahawks. Honestly, this one's another, like, toss-up for me, but I am going to go with the Seahawks. Rams at Chiefs. Chiefs. If the Chiefs don't win, that's really sad. Saints at 49ers. I think the Niners are going to win it. Like I said, Jimmy G is surprising a lot of people. He's on a lot of people's radar. A lot of people are kind of obsessed with him, and I'm on that train, too, just to be honest with y'all. Then we have the Packers at the Eagles. Now, I would love for the Packers to defeat the Eagles. I would love for that to happen, since, you know, we lost to the Packers. And also, the Eagles did nearly lose to the Colts this past week. It was like a one-score difference, like 16 to 17 or something. So, I'm going to go with the Packers. Might be wishful thinking again, but I really hope for it. It would just be so satisfying to know we didn't lose to Green Bay for nothing, you know? The final game, I have the Steelers at the Colts. Now, I'm not full on my prediction here. I did put the Steelers as winning that game. Like I said, there's no bias this week. Got a full weekend of football coming up. I'm really excited about it. I think it's going to be really interesting to watch some of these games. I always love Thanksgiving for the football part of the day. It's the best part, in my opinion. It'll be really exciting to watch some of these games, see what happens, and see how many I get correct. So, I will be tracking that. I will be taking some notes. I will be trying to watch as many games as I can, since, you know, I have this four-day weekend coming up. In the meantime, I appreciate y'all tuning in. Tune in next week so we can cover what happened in Week 12, as well as chat about Week 13. We're past the midway point of the season. Getting crazy, getting excited, heading into playoffs soon. We're going to keep on rolling. See y'all next time.
