There are several announcements for the East Mount Zion church. They will have a Bible study on Wednesday, May 24th, and a prayer and testimony session with the Women's Day Committee. The Widows and Widowers Ministry will have a support session on Saturday, May 27th. The church's Women's Day celebration is on May 28th, and the speaker will be Minister Sabrina Turner. They are asking every member to give a sacrificial offering of $50 to support the church and community organizations. They also ask for prayers for those who are mourning, including the family of Sister Ernestine Pickett who passed away. Announcements for Sunday, May 21st, coming down in 3, 2, 1. East Mount Zion family and friends, I am Maureen Bailey Frater, and these are our announcements for today, Sunday, May 21st, 2023. Please join us for Bible study this Wednesday, May 24th at 12 noon, and at 6.30 p.m. we will join the Women's Day Committee for a time of prayer, praise, and testimony. We will hear inspiring testimonies from Sister Gwen Brown, Sister Roxanne Thompson, and Sister Marian Anderson. Again, that's on Wednesday, May 24th at 6.30 p.m. with the Women's Day Committee here at the church. Attention all widows and widowers. The East Mount Zion Widows and Widowers Ministry invites each of you to our second support session. We will meet on Saturday, May 27th at 11 a.m. in the Back Chapel. This session is designed with you in mind as we come together in Christian unity to discuss, encourage, inspire, and share with each other. And remember, all guests are welcome, so please join us this coming 4th Saturday. We are excited and we're looking forward to seeing you. We're asking all women to wear our collars, fuchsia and or white. Your sacrificial offering will be used to support the mission of our church and community organizations in need. The scripture says, blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. We ask that you continue to pray for members of our church family who are experiencing bereavement. And our deepest condolences to the family of Sister Ernestine Pickett. Sister Pickett passed on Wednesday, May 17th. Arrangements are incomplete at this time and we ask that you keep the family of Sister Pickett in your prayers.
