The announcements for Sunday, May 7th include Bible study on Wednesday, May 10th, leadership meeting on Monday, May 8th, Ushers Ministry meeting on Thursday, May 11th, Women's Day Choir rehearsals on May 9th, 18th, and 25th, pre-Women's Day luncheon on Saturday, May 20th, tickets for sale for the luncheon, May newsletter available, and Mother's Day program next Sunday. East Mount Zion family and friends, I am Maureen Bailey Frater, and these are our announcements for today, Sunday, May 7th, 2023. Please join us for Bible study this Wednesday, May 10th, at 12 noon and at 7 pm, as we continue through the Emotionally Healthy Spirituality book by Peter Scazzaro. Calling all leaders, please join us for leadership meeting on Monday, May 8th, at 7 pm via Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent out on Monday afternoon prior to the meeting. This meeting is for all current leaders and for those interested in leadership. The Ushers Ministry is meeting this Thursday, May 11th, at 5 pm in the Sanctuary. To all of our East Mount Zion sisters in Christ, we need your voice. There will be a Women's Day Choir singing at the 1045 AM Worship Service on Sunday, May 28th, under the direction of Minister Avis Graves. We're asking all women of all ages to join the Women's Day Choir. You do not have to currently be in the choir to sing in the Women's Day Choir. All are welcome, and please bring a friend. The next rehearsals will be this Tuesday, May 9th, at 7 pm, with additional rehearsals on May 18th and on May 25th at 7 pm. We can't wait to see you there. We're also very excited to announce our pre-Women's Day luncheon on Saturday, May 20th, at 11 am. Our keynote speaker will be your very own Sister Beverly Boy Woodard, First Lady of the New Salem Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tickets will be on sale immediately following worship service today in the lobby of the A. Charles Bowie Education Wing. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children 10 and under. And copies of the May newsletter are available in the atrium of the A. Charles Bowie Education Wing. And please join the Sunday School Department for their annual Mother's Day program next Sunday at 9.30 am in the Banquet Hall. The scripture says, Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. We ask that you continue to pray for members of our church family who are experiencing bereavement.
