I hope that you've been able to enjoy my previous episodes on self-reflection and being the change that you want to see, also loving music and helping that be a part of your therapy. Today I want to talk about being grateful, just being grateful for each and every day because life can be so short. My mom used to tell me about the time that I was born and I'm grateful for the story that she told because I'm grateful to be here. I'm grateful to her and my father and my whole family, but I have my mother here today. Hello, everyone. You look close to the mic, mom, so everybody can hear your beautiful voice. Thank you. So I'm grateful for my mom. She's been through a whole lot. We are trying to both stay healthy and mentally and physically. This life will beat you down, but she has taught me persistence, consistency, and just continue to be strong and continue to grow. But I want to go back and talk about the story, my story, and how I'm grateful to be here because it could have been different. Yes, it could have been. Tell me about it. Tell everybody about it. Well, you were very unexpected, first of all. I know. I did not know that I was pregnant. But then coming to having you was really hard because your cord wrapped. You came through and basically almost didn't make it. You wrapped and they had to hurry up and get you out. And it was really a hard time. It was really sad for me because I couldn't even see you after you did get out. They had to get you straight and then bring you to me three or four days later. And you were a big baby. You were 10 pounds 9 ounces. So there was a lot going on. But here you are now, my beautiful, beautiful, caring daughter. Oh, thank you, mom. I'll pay you that $20 for that EMI. And my security is rolling inside of me. Oh, here we go. Yes, but I'm grateful because, you know, life is short. That type of story happens to anyone that, you know, anybody. It can happen to anyone, you know. And we just have to be grateful for every day. I know I am. And I hope whoever is listening is too. You know, being able to wake up every day is a blessing. It's a blessing because you're able to face another day and try something different. Don't be scared to, I have to tell myself don't be scared to. Don't be scared, Monique, to try something different. So I encourage you, whoever is listening, to please, you know, take advantage of each day. Love yourself. Negative self-talk, oh, my goodness. I know I do that a lot. But it's a new year. And almost through January, you know, every day is a blessing. Be grateful. And anything you want to add to that? Yes, I think we should pray every day and thank God every day. And just love each other. Love on each other because we're in bad times now. And we should show more empathy and caring. So just love yourself. And I think we try to do that. And just everybody out there who needs somebody, hey, pull somebody in. Talk to them. Love them. They will love on you back. Thank you so much, Mama, with your gems, your knowledge, your wisdom. I appreciate it. Thank you for sitting with me and talking on my podcast. Thank you all for joining and listening to real talk, real grateful talk with Mo and my mom. Mom, for those who know Mom, yeah. I love you. Thank you so much. Thank you for being so strong and beautiful and passing it on. Thank you. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
