Jesus is reminding us that we shouldn't expect a problem-free life. Instead, we should focus on seeking Him and trusting Him even in difficult circumstances. The verses from Psalm 112 and John 16 emphasize the importance of trusting God and finding peace in Him. We should strive to be a light in the darkness and share our faith with others. We should be thankful for all that God has done for us and use our lives for good. Hey y'all it's me coming at you from Jesus Calling for today. Today's date is January 26, 2024 and this is what Jesus has for you. Give up the illusion that you deserve a problem-free life. Part of you is still hungering for the resolution of all difficulties. This is false hope. As I told my disciples in the world you will have trouble. Link your hope not to problem-solving in this life but to the promise of an eternity of problem-free life in heaven. Instead of seeking perfection in this fallen world, pour your energy into seeking me, the perfect one. It is possible to enjoy me and glorify me in the midst of adverse circumstances. In fact, my light shines most brightly through believers who trust me in the dark. This kind of trust is supernatural, a production of my indwelling spirit. When things seem all wrong, trust me anyway. I am much less interested in right circumstances than in right responses to whatever comes your way. And the verses for today is Psalm 112, 4, and 7. Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man. He will have no fear of bad news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. This next one comes from John 16, verse 31 through 33. I'm reading it from the Message Bible. And it says, Jesus answered them, do you finally believe? In fact, you're about to make a run for it, saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I am not abandoned. The Father is with me. I've told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties, but take heart, I have conquered the world. Hopefully this short segment blessed you today. And if you guys need prayer for anything, feel free to leave that down below. And let's just get started. Thank you, Jesus, for giving us another day to learn more about you and worship you, Lord, and just get to know you more. And I just pray that we take the short segment and take it to heart, Lord. And just be that light in the dark place, as it's what we're called to be. And if there be someone that would come in contact with, that doesn't know you, that sees something different in us, Lord, from everyone else that's out there, that they would ask us, and that we would have the courage to share our faith with them, Lord. And thank you, Father, for everything you've done for us, all the blessings you've given to us up to this point in our lives, and that you're still doing for us, Lord. Thank you for providing our needs, also many of our wants. Thank you for giving us this breath in our lungs, and I just pray that we would use it for the good and not for evil. And I just pray you bless those who hear this, and those who are curious alike. In Jesus' name, amen. Don't forget to like, comment, share, and subscribe. Share this with a friend, a friend that you think could use something to brighten their day. And I hope you guys have a blessed day. Bye!
