In the relaxation module, you will practice a breathing pattern to relax. The exhale is longer than the inhale. Our breathing controls our nervous system, which has two modes: active and rest. If you exhale longer than you inhale, the rest mode is activated. This exercise helps your body relax and can be done after a long day or just for relaxation. By doing this exercise regularly, your body learns to relax quickly. Start with 4-second inhales and exhales and gradually increase the exhale to 8 or even 12 seconds. You will experience a preview of the breathing rhythm in this module. Then you can choose to start the module in the app. Welkom bij de ontspanningsmodule. De komende 7 sessies oefen je op een ademhalingspatroon om te ontspannen. Hierbij is de uitademing langer dan de inademing. Zoals je misschien weet werkt onze ademhaling als een afstandsbediening voor ons zenuwstelsel. Het zenuwstelsel heeft eigenlijk 2 standen, een actiestand en een ruststand. Voor jouw lichaam is het heel simpel. Als je langer uitademt dan inademt wordt de ruststand geactiveerd. Wanneer je meer inademt dan uitademt wordt de actiestand geactiveerd. Als jouw lijf vaak aanstaat is dit een simpele oefening voor meer ontspanning. Naar bijvoorbeeld een volle dag of om gewoon fijn te kunnen ontspannen. Door deze oefening regelmatig te doen train je je lichaam om snel en eenvoudig te ontspannen. Handig toch? In de eerste sessies begin je met 4 seconden in en 4 seconden uit te ademen. En heel geleidelijk maak je je uitademing tot langer dan 8 seconden. De laatste sessies misschien wel tot 12 seconden. Je gaat zometeen alvast een voorproefje ervaren van het ritme waarin je gaat ademen in deze module. Het zijn 2 volledige ademhalingen. Daarna volgt de keuze in de app of je de module wilt starten.
