The analytical scale needs to be clean before use to ensure accurate measurements. It is then calibrated using the casters and a referential weight. To weigh a product, a little ball and spatula are used, with the weight of the ball zeroed. Excess product can be placed in a bin. Once the weight is obtained, the scale is cleaned and turned off. So now that you've seen the different parts of the analytical scale with Louise, let's see how you should use it. Before any use, the scale needs to be clean. If it's not clean, the measurements will be wrong. To take the example of Louise, it's like you weighed flour and spilled it everywhere on the scale. You need to clean it to weigh flour again with the correct measurements. Once everything is clean, for the analytical scale to be precise, we calibrate it. And for that, we use the casters. With them, we put the bubble on the center of its circle, like you can see in the corner of the apparatus. Are you with me? For that, we use a little ball Louise told you about and a spatula. Of course, to have a correct weight, we have to zero the weight of the little ball, as Louise explained to you.
