The analytical scale is a small machine that measures weight with precision. It has gears and a plate where substances are placed. There are transparent windows, a display screen, and buttons. The on-off button turns it on and off, the start button zeros it before reading, and the set button changes the unit. The casters serve as feet and help adjust stability and calibrate the scale. Léhana will explain the calibration and weighing process. I will present to you how the analytical scale works. It is a small machine that sits on a flat surface. It allows you to take weight measurement with precision. Before explaining the balance principle, let's focus on the different components. This machine works with gears on which a plate is located. The plate is located in the center of the device. It's the one on which we place your substance little by little to end up having the right mass. Around the board, there is something like a transparent box. More precisely, there are transparent windows on which side and above the top. Two of these windows are sliding doors that can be opened and closed according to your needs. Can you visualize it? Outside these windows, there is a display screen. There are also different buttons which I will tell you about next. This screen displays the weight corresponding to quantity of material deposited on the plate. It has a precision of four digits after the decimal point. Next, I'd like to draw your attention to the different buttons. The first is the on-off button which turns the scale on and off. The second is the start button which allows you to zero before reading. To understand better, think about cooking. When you follow a recipe and you put a ball on a scale to weigh flour, you zero the rate so that the weight of the ball does not add up to the weight of the flour. It's exactly the same principle with the analytical scale. The last button is the set button. Each time you press it, the unit changes between gram and milligram. If you're still following me, I have one last component to introduce to you, the casters. They serve as feet, allow you to adjust the stability of the platform and to calibrate the scale all by positioning them in one direction or the other. I will give the floor to my colleague Léhana who will explain the steps to follow to calibrate and weigh.
