Nothing to say, yet
The transcription discusses experiencing severe weather storms and the speaker's relief that their trash container remained upright. It then goes on to talk about facing challenges in life, such as financial struggles and health concerns, and emphasizes the importance of relying on God and casting away negative thoughts. The speaker encourages focusing on positive things, spending time with God, and accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. The transcription ends with a self-care tip and a prayer for blessings. During this time of year, we experience severe weather storms and continuous flash of lightning and great thunder. Last night was a true spectacular and I wondered and worried in my mind whether the full trash container I had placed outside had blown over and made a huge mess again. Rain had come as I looked out and there was not a cloud in the sky and the wind was calm. What a relief! Garbage container was still upright on its legs. The top was open, but nothing came out of it. Oh thank you, dear God, having to deal with trash once is enough. God cares about everything that touches us, even the small things. There is nothing like his faithfulness. On the other hand, you may be facing a real downpour of a challenge in your life today that simply can't compare to a weather storm and a huge mess of trash to clean that could easily come and go. It may be a financial storm, the cost of living is going up, the quantity of food in your grocery basket does not match the money that you pay the cashier, the increased cost of gasoline presenting you with hard decisions to only drive when it is necessary. Making ends meet is becoming more difficult these days. The enemy is telling you that if God cared, he wouldn't let this happen to you. It might be a physical storm. You may have just completed your health physical and the doctor is concerned about your test results. The enemy of your soul is pressing in on your mind with negative thoughts again that you are going to die. Stop, my friend, and get a grip on who you are and who you belong to. Resist the devil and he will flee. God's word reminds us, 2 Corinthians 10 and 5, casting down imaginations and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. The Passion Translation, we can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the anointed one. Everything that comes to our mind is not the will of God for you to continuously dwell on or try to figure out. Losing peace of mind and sleep is not His will or His way of handling things. It is not about us having to rely on our own understanding and strength. God wants to be right with us during the good times and the bad times. He is easy, dependable, and He, our Father, wants us to truly cast all our cares upon Him. 1 Corinthians 2 and 16, having the mind of Christ. It is not no longer us who live, but Christ who lives in us. The life we now live, we live in the flesh by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us. His life is our life. We are united with Jesus, which means we have His mind. A minute in the beginning of time, when Eve had a talk with that old serpent, the devil, she unfortunately gave place and listened to the cunning voice of the Father of life. She let the words of the enemy take an impression on her mind, believing that God was keeping something from her. Eve began to doubt and lean on her own understanding. Adam also took his mind off of God and began to wonder on the life of the enemy, how different life would be today if our first parents would have kept God before them and had continued to be obedient in keeping His commandments to not eat the forbidden fruit of life. They let the enemy cheat them out of their covenant relationship with our Almighty God. Always think of good things in every situation of life, my friend. God has, and He's always had a plan of escape, refuge in time of trouble, out of the storm. Stick with His plan. His word is true that we will always be victorious. Keep your mind on the Lord. Quench every fiery dart of negative thinking with God's word. It is life and it's positive. Your daily routine, just tell Him you love Him. Let God know that there is no other God before Him. Other gods could be like idols, our jobs, making that almighty dollar and not spending quality time with the Lord, obsession with our families, being first in our lives, or maybe going to the gym every free moment. It's good to take care of ourselves, but not overboard to the degree that you spend zero time with the One who made you, having sweet conversation, fellowship, dependence on Him. Are you one of those who only call on the name of the Lord in trouble? You may be looking for support to help deal with life's struggles, or you feel a tugging at your heart right now to learn more about this Redeemer and Savior, Jesus, who longs to have a spiritual covenant with you. Let's pray together now. Repeat after me, Dear God in Heaven, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, into the world to redeem mankind back to yourself. I acknowledge that I cannot live without you. I open my heart and make the decision right now to accept you as Lord and Savior of my life. I believe the Bible is the greatest book ever written. In John chapter 1 verse 12 reads, But to all who did receive Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. I am your child. Thank you and I praise you now, in Jesus' name, Amen. Let us know how God has blessed you today, Amen. Are you ready for our self-care healthy tip for today? Practice this good habit when getting out of bed. Bend both knees and roll, moving knees and hips and shoulders together. To sit up, roll using the log rolling technique, lowering legs off bed and using your arms to push up your body into a sitting position. Remember to avoid twisting and bending. Give God praise and worship, Amen. Our Father is ever present. This is Lucretia Jordan. We thank Robin and Matthew Anderson with prayer and share and invitation to intercede in prayer for our nation on Facebook and also New Generation Christian Family Matters podcast for making our presentation possible to you today. God bless you as our prayer, Amen.
