The transcription discusses the topic of blended families, step-parenting, and the challenges faced by bonus moms. The host, who is also a bonus mom, empathizes and advocates for bonus moms who take their role seriously. The episode aims to provide a safe space for the guest, Ingrid, to share her experiences as a bonus mom. Blended families, bonus moms, stepchildren, step-parenting, what does it all mean and why isn't it talked about enough? Today we take a deep dive into the life of someone I respect and admire very much who became a step-parent and later evolved into a blended family. Everything will be left off the table and we are in no rush. Having my own experience as a bonus mom, which is now the modern name for step-parent, I empathize and advocate for bonus moms who take their role very seriously. While the idea of having a bigger family, having fun small children, and building relationships with various people through these children sounds fun, the role of a bonus mom is not for the faint of heart. With the struggles of co-parenting, step-parenting, having a voice but not really having a voice, questioning whether or not some type of disciplinary demeanor is allowed or not, do you attend conferences or sit them out? Should you ask permission to be part of parent activities, sharing holidays, toxic co-parenting, manipulation, brainwashing, the list, as you can imagine, goes on and on. In this episode, I wanted my guest to be very outspoken and open and use this time as a safe space to be vocal about her experience as a bonus mom. I'm very excited to get insight from my friend's perspective and I look forward to our time together. Without further ado, please welcome my friend, Ingrid.
