I'd just like to start off by offering my most sincerest apology and this is directed to my consistent and supportive listeners by saying I had not ghosted you and please do not get the impression that this podcast is a fly-by-night endeavor. My unavailability was due to a number of unforeseen circumstances on my end which therefore made it hard to carve out time to create this episode. However, things are now under control and the show will go on. So speaking of the show, what is today's topic for this episode? Our topic for today is entitled Courage to Create. Today's episode is a call to action. This term is prevalent within the marketing and content creation spaces. This call to action relates to the countless times you've made a promise to fulfill your own goals and create a life that you can be proud of but you have failed to keep your own word to yourself. You know it's interesting because you probably would cross oceans to fulfill other people's needs and responsibilities but walk over your own on your way to their rescue. You see, that's probably why we find it easier to please other people while we put ourselves as last priorities. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm not saying resist being of service to other people but how many times have you severely deprived yourself even the time to invest in skills that allow you to be a more valuable person when of course you eventually become of service to other people. I mean perhaps I'm starting to sound like a nagging parent but perhaps we've become too comfortable with disappointing ourselves time and time again by living the lives that don't resemble the inevitable lives we endeavor to create for ourselves. So here's my hypothesis as to why we subject our inner creators to a barbaric level of asceticism regarding our self-development which by extension means that we're not spared the harsh realities of continuing to stay the same. So if you don't have a constant action you take towards creating a way of life that represents your true value and purpose, the question is why are you just merely prolonging your existence instead of making a life or creating a life that is worth living. I know I know perhaps it's easy to dismiss what I'm saying as someone who doesn't understand your circumstances and perhaps why should you listen to me but here's the thing how often have you felt yourself feel that burning desire to do something groundbreaking with your life? How many times have you felt this constant beckoning to your soul to do more than what you already do? To explore something that calls to your true function in this intensely unpredictable life. Let me share a true personal story that relates to what may seem a bit too abstract to understand regarding this concept. You see like many youth that graduate every year I had fallen prey to the unforgiving nature of unemployment. Now anyone who goes through this phase of unemployment can attest to the fact that there is so much unpredictable factors that you have to come into contact with. Factors that dim the prospect or the hope of even finding something that can even provide you with a basic living income and I mean don't get me started on the emotional burdens that one endures through all those trials that they face in that phase. Now it's easy to get caught up in the fact that I have not found a secure means of work or rather a secure means of income and between the emotional turmoil that one goes through and the uncertainty of finding just a form of work to give you a basic income can contribute to further self-sabotaging behavior. Or on the other hand I could just do something to complement my skills and create something that's worth being proud of. Hence I took it upon myself to bear the responsibility of working on creating a life I would not regret brick by brick. I would set on a journey to personally address all my evident flaws and shortcomings that mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically hindered me from realizing my true worth. You see one step we all miss all too often is how we neglect and learning who we were taught to be while we pursue who we can be. And so what then happens as a result is we create our new self on a foundation only strong enough to support our old self and then we wonder why we never realize the new creation we eventually aim to become. I know there is this persistent critic within ourselves. You know that person right? The one that argues for our complacency more than anything else and keeps us hanging on to the things that seem familiar for a sense of so-called quote-unquote security. See when one truly understands the unpredictability of life it is only then they will start or begin to take seriously the urgency to start living a productive and purposeful life. A wise man once said that when we increase the time taken between making a decision and taking the action necessary it fuels our anxiety and increases our disbelief in our capabilities to achieve that which we set out to achieve. And before you know it we have a plethora of postponed decisions in our lives all compiling towards the worthlessness we seem to perceive of ourselves. So what do I want this episode to achieve? As I said in the beginning this is a call to action which means at the end of this episode I would like for the listener on the other end to remember the promises they made about what type of life they would like to create for themselves. You know what you said to yourself at the beginning of this year. You know what you wrote in your journal at the beginning of this year. You know what you wrote in your planner at the beginning of this year. I wouldn't want you to find yourself at that stage where you have to swallow the bitter pill of I should have done certain things when I had the time. Remember there will be generations that will come after you who will face similar challenges to yours and will look to your story to find the motivation to stay disciplined on a path to continue working on improving their inner creator. You must admit the human body has been created to be self-sufficient. It has been created to self-heal and so my argument is if your body can create things and processes that allow it to function at its true capacity why can't you create a life that allows you to operate at your optimum capacity. So any endeavor towards creating and perfecting a life that is befitting your purpose prepare to be criticized prepare to be misunderstood and even belittled and rejected for fulfilling your promise to yourself of becoming a better you. Even people from your closest circles will be the ones to write you off but remember at the end of your life you will be held accountable by the decisions you made and the ones you refused to make. You will only have your conscience to answer to when the last seconds of your life tick away. So I urge you that when the time comes to leave this earth to have nothing but a grateful recollection of all the time and energy invested in creating the best person that you can be for yourself and for those that you served through the purpose that you fulfilled. Having a peace that affirms the fact that you gave it your all and you lived to your truest potential and because of that others found their purpose through you by the way you lived your life. And so I encourage you be a gleaming beacon of hope that gives others the reminder that if you can do it despite all your odds indeed they can also achieve despite all their odds. Live limitlessly. I thank you. And that ladies and gentlemen concludes our episode for today. If you found this informative, insightful or just plain boring don't forget to leave a comment in the comment section and if you have a friend or family member that would appreciate listening to this by all means do share it with them. And I hope to see you in the next episode. Till then have a good one.
