The Unemployment Line podcast discusses the criticism faced by Taylor Swift and Beyonce regarding their bodies and award wins. They also talk about the Grammy Awards and the difficulty of comparing genres. They discuss the controversy surrounding Beyonce winning album of the year and the opinions of artists like Adele and Jay-Z. The hosts also discuss the Mahomes family, specifically Patrick Mahomes' brother Jackson, who is seen as a nuisance by many. You are now tuned into the most ignorant podcast in America. This is the Unemployment Line. I am the D.O.K. and I'm sitting here with my main man, Larry P. What you got to say, my man? Well, after I get this plugged into the right hole. No, but I'll be professional. Um, I know we talked about this like two weeks ago. And, um, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm going to kind of dabble in it a little bit more because, uh, Jesus, I'm about to sneeze. Um, but, uh. This Taylor Swift, Beyonce whole thing, right? Mm hmm. I just. This is my thing. This is my thing. Why do I be body shaming Taylor Swift like this, man? Because she is built. I mean, she's built how she's built. But I mean, like of all the things that attack a person for the way that their body is, is probably the most. Um. I won't say insensitive. It's the it's the lowest hanging, least common denominator. I'm going to tell you probably why they, why they be beating Taylor Swift about that body. Because in today's society of, you know, BBLs, everything like that, she might be one of the few celebrities without any curves, any breasts. Any, but like, and she one of the highest paid. And she ain't got nothing. Nothing. You know, I'm going to think about Hillary Duff. Look, Dickey. You know, even Miley Cyrus got a little got a little plump plump under there. But nothing. But go back to your point. Anyways. Um. They talk about how Beyonce ain't got no album of the year, but she got all these accolades and everything like that. And, you know, you know, they keep letting her get, you know, Taylor Swift, all them keep winning and blah, blah, blah. But it is not the people what the people think. Not enough. You know, I'm like, my thing is, the beehive is the beehive. Beyonce can sell out any stadium that she wanted to. She could charge a thousand dollars minimum that ticket and still sell that joke around. You know, the only other event that could do something like that. World Tour. Super Bowl. That's like a charge. Eight thousand dollars for a ticket. People would be there. Here's the thing. I think when you when you have the issue with something like the Grammys or the Oscars. You're comparing genres and it's hard to compare across genres. If you don't listen to every genre and most people don't listen to every genre. Right. So, like, I don't have the stats in front of me to support this case. But you have to go kind of year by year to even see, like, who else was even in the category with Beyonce in the year she was up for album of the year. Because I promise you, it's probably like some rap album, some country album, some pop album. And there ain't a whole lot of people who listen in the rap, pop, country and R&B. And even even the artists ain't listening to it. Remember, remember, remember Robert Glasper, Chris Brown and Chris Brown. Like, who is Robert Glasper? I don't even know who that is. And I was like, hey, I know who Robert Glasper is. Kind of dope. Well, even going all the way back to like when the first time somebody complained about Beyonce getting an award, which was, you know, the good insane brother Kanye West came out and was just like, hey. Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. And then the question was, Kanye, did you even watch Taylor's video? Do you even know do you even know what was in Taylor's video before you made that statement? Right. And that was so long. I was like 10, 10 plus years ago. And I got Beyonce with these country songs. Now she's trying to do a country album. And her friends are like, I mean, her fans are like, Beyonce gonna win country album of the year. And I say this with all due respect. With all due respect, it's gonna sound like I'm hating, but I'm not. I'm just a realist. But if Beyonce can't win album of the year in her own respective category, what makes y'all think she gonna win album of the year with a country album? But she does. I think that's the other thing, though. And, you know, the question is, when is when is your own not enough? Beyonce wins the album of the year in her category. When it's like best female R&B performance. She gonna win that. Best R&B album. She gonna win that. But when it comes to, all right, now, it's you and everybody. Everybody's album from this year. And they pop up and they be like, Adele won. I mean, are you gonna go out here and say that Adele album didn't slap Beyonce? Beyonce can't say that. She was listening to the Adele album. So, like, it's just, but then Adele gets up there and was just like, I don't know, Beyonce should have won. But that's what a lot of them think, because, you know, it boils down to at the end of the day that you even you sometimes don't feel like you are the best. Like you look at other people and that's that's part of the art, the respect and being humble. You know, but when you got people like Jay-Z and Beyonce, first of all, for Jay-Z to get up there and say what he said. I know that's his wife, but he's a little bias as well. Well, you also got to understand why Jay-Z has to say these things. Because, you know, one of one of Beyonce's album of the year nominees is an entire album. Her singing about Jay-Z cheating and her having thoughts of murdering him, destroying all of his property and taking all of his money. This is the same reason why Will Smith had to slap Chris Rock. Yeah, yeah. Jay-Z had no choice but to get up there and say that. If he didn't say that, he would have gotten home and was just like, hey, hey, B, you see my award? Yeah, I saw your award. They did. They did. They did. They did the they did the announcement for the album of the year and they did it named Beyonce. And then Jay-Z knew his name was coming up next. He was sitting there looking like, what am I going to say up here? That's why he was nervous. He was nervous about Beyonce. She could up and leave him at any time. I speak the truth when I get nervous. I'm going to just say this before we before we get into whatever our next thing is to. Maybe it's just me and I'm not I'm not a wealthy musician, but. I think, you know, I think I don't know if they get bored or if they just think more of themselves than they really can do. But I would just prefer if artists just, you know, you don't have to experiment this much. I don't need a country album from Beyonce. I don't need a gospel album from Kanye. No, I don't need an instrumental album from Andre 3000. I don't need these things. And the thing about the album and I've been waiting, I'm probably going to wait till June, July. But I'm really going to ask people on Facebook. How many times I played that I was the first time I listened to it. Does everybody just be the old Andre 3000 album? It's so soothing. Oh, I could just sit here, you know, and I was. I bet after this weekend, I promise you, I'm not going to pop that album. Y'all are not going to play the album. Everybody keep booze. Oh, this is. Oh, man, I feel so I feel so eccentric. Even the way he described it. He's like, I've been experimenting with woodwinds. You've been experimenting with woodwinds. Why? Why don't you have something else to do? And Lil Jon about to put out a motivational album. Speaking of motivational album, what are we talking about this week? We're talking about good old Super Bowl MVP, Patrick Mahomes. And his family. Patrick Mahomes family crazy, man. So first of all, shout out to Patrick Mahomes. You know, as a 49ers fan, it was very traumatic. Me watching that Super Bowl. But I definitely respect the greatness of Patrick Mahomes. But one of the things that has been I've been observing for several years, and I talk a lot about this on throw up tackle is the people in Patrick Mahomes circle be making that man life more difficult. And I'm thinking about three people in particular. Oh, man, it's only three people. It's his daddy, his brother and his wife. The main three. And and shout out to his mama for this. You know, she be minding her business. You never see her in the spotlight. But but the rest of them. Like, I don't know who I think it's obvious who's the worst of the three. Oh, definitely. It's definitely Jackson. So let's just start there. What do you do when your brother is just a menace, a known menace? Now, this is this is this is a very, very, very, very important part here, because what I want you to understand is. The reason why we don't hear much about probably Patrick Mahomes mom and anybody with siblings will understand this. Pat probably don't want his brother anywhere in the spotlight or anywhere in the games, however. Hey, Pat, if you don't go to that game, take your brother with you now. That's what he got. So he'd be like, Mom, OK, Pat, listen, Pat, you know, I love you, but take your brother. So Pat probably got a lot of respect for his mama. His daddy, Pat Mahomes daddy probably don't even want Jackson there. But Pat Mahomes mama be like, Jackson, take Jackson. Make sure you get a ticket for Jackson. And then he'd like Pat. Jackson called me today and said that he went to will call. It wasn't no ticket down there, Pat. Now, what did I tell you? This is how this is how good at football Patrick Mahomes is because you can everybody has seen this guy before. The one that had to drug their little brother along and either y'all trying to play some pickup basketball football out in this park, out in the park. And, you know, they're going to say something to you like, hey, your little brother won't play. And what and what Jackson over there doing? Jackson's just over there dancing, dancing, dancing. What's going on with your brother, man? Just leave him alone, man. Pat out there, Pat out there, do a little pickup football game. And the Chili's, the little daughters, the little sisters over the Chilean injection of the two. Like I can do it too. Jackson over there trying to do double Dutch. Like you, you won't play. No, no, I'm gonna go over here and, you know, I'm gonna get this extension cord and I'm gonna, I'm gonna just, I ain't gonna jump. I'm gonna just, I'm gonna just try and turn the rope. I'm gonna just turn the rope. And this might be what thrives somebody like Patrick Mahomes will be as good as he is because you know, the best way to eliminate people talking about you or joking about you is just being great at what you do. Like if Pat Mahomes was, um, just a sub par quarterback and he go on out there taking his brother out there and everybody like cracking jokes. Oh, look at Pat brother over there. Like that's a bit tough to not be good. And your brother over there embarrassing you. If Patrick Mahomes was, um, Desmond Ritter, like all we would talk about is his brother. We wouldn't even acknowledge like, like, Hey, you know, the quarterback. Yeah. Hey, have you seen his brother on TikTok? He would be the brother. He would be the football player whose brother has the TikTok. Just imagine if it was the brother of Jackson Mahomes, not the, it'd be like Simone Bowers and her husband. Yeah. It'd be Jackson Mahomes brother play for the chiefs. Nobody wants to know that that's Jackson Mahomes brother. And so I think the other thing with Jackson Mahomes is it shifted from annoying to criminal. And I think when it was just like, man, my brother's aggravating. But then when your brother started committing crimes, that's when it really was just like, let's put it this way as well. It was never, it was never a point where it was accepted, you know, like Juju Smith Schuster. It was a point where Juju like TikToks were like entertaining. Then it got to a point where like, all right, now you were annoying. Like I think Jackson came onto the scene as I, and you want to know why it was annoying? Because of Patrick Mahomes wife first. Oh yeah. Cause she was annoying first and then Jackson came into the spotlight and it was like, Oh, it's two of them. It's two of y'all. And see, I think that's the hard thing for, for Pat because Pat got his wife his situation together. I'm like, I'm like his teammate, Travis. Patrick Mahomes had his home situation stable before he was an established NFL player. So him and Brittany, they was together in college. So he came into the league already. You know, I'm a family man, you know, people like that. There's stability. So he can't just say, all right, man, I'm done with her. Like he can't pull the Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson did that with his first wife. I mean, if we really don't take it as far as like Patrick Mahomes being Patrick Mahomes, he got about three more Superbowls until he can finally leave her. I think he can leave her now. Now you got to do the Tom Brady. He got at least stick with it. And Dan, you gotta understand what Tom Brady did though. Tom Brady, Tom Brady hit her with the Tom Brady left new England. Then went down there to the sunny days of Florida to say, I was going to say this is going to work out, but I don't think it's going to work out. But, but, but, but, but, but, but I forgot you were talking about the tail and the Tom Brady. I'm talking about the beginning of Tom Brady. Tom Brady had a whole baby mama and left her for a supermodel. Yeah, I think Pat should leave her right now. Right now is the perfect time. When we come back. When is it okay to leave? It's the unemployment line.
