Hopefully we put on a good show for all these fine people out here today We won't try to that's for sure You know, I've known you for quite some time and and and of course DJ courts, you know Y'all have done something that that's really amazing In ozone like like that's the place to be, you know every well I mean if it was open every night, I would go there every night. I mean, I'm not a love I love club ozone because of the The the atmosphere that y'all put together there and like it's one of the only clubs that doesn't use them dreaded Bots or NPCs to to make its numbers and that's flat. That's extraordinary. Yes, sir. I appreciate that I ain't gonna open every night, but also we don't forget that we're all about the nwo here So, uh, not only is it about club ozone? We got the great lucinda hips with us in the crowd out there with up Lucy She's a part of the nwo we have a great club Friday night's club seduction I mean, you know, let's have girl vibes with a bunch of over there. She's um, um, she is the great lucinda hips I'm like you could put me to sleep with her voice like Like I'm sure she does a whole lot more than that shit. You know I'm saying I'm just saying they're like like like it is truly cuddle time when she when she like does her little does her little story time I'm not sure if she still does that or not, but that was there that was you know that was awesome like like I've I've asked sassy a couple of times to like Do story time and in personal in our personal life like to put me to sleep. Sometimes it brought me like a babe. Huh? So All right. So What we're going to do here is well, let me get my my mouth Who and I was just wondering if you could just tell everybody like from the day you came in to 3dx to today What your experience has been like if has it been if it's been positive negative a little bit of both How has it been for you? In in 3dx. Yeah for sure, man I think I started like a lot of people did coming to 3dx Obviously spent a lot of time over at IMVU a few years over there a number of years Threw up some tunes in the clubs out there Of course a friend of mine friend of a friend friend of mine, you know says come check out this place so hopped over here and Never really started into the DJ till probably a year and a bit into my my time here I actually got into you mentioned it earlier. You mentioned the the house of Dane which was a which was a slave auction type thing That all that all started with me just going around there was another slave auction that they used actual real x-fold for I mean I I'm just not one to be Going out and doing all this fantasy roleplay stuff and having to spend real-life money to do it So that's where that whole house Dane came in. I Introduced the I'm sure if you've been to the house of X Which is I handed that off to call a year just before I opened Club Ozone He took that over for me, but the whole the whole What is it the the whole roll and max bet thing? Get a max bet of 50k and then whoever bids 50k. I'll do a roll-off It was kind of like it wasn't really about the auction and selling off girls to go and play It was more of both, you know Getting a local chat involved having a lot of fun with everybody in local joking around kidding around things like that You know I'm saying. Yeah. Yeah, I never I never got to go to the actual house of Dane Um, I just heard I just heard about it. I did go to the to the house of X a lot I mean I went there many a time and And watch call do his thing and I mean he learned Everything right Not hard work or anything like yeah, they built it up and carry it on for what I started out I like I think I can do it but you know, they they made it what it is today. So Well, we we just thought we know we talked about that but ozone is is like where it's at like that's the place to be on Saturday nights and like How did you like how did you set itself, you know? How do you set club ozone apart from from all the other ones? In the in the scene and not have to resort to certain tactics to build your numbers, you know For me, it's never been about room numbers. It's always been about Just setting a vibe setting a good fun vibe, you know Even with my DJ sets you try to get out there you try to get that local chat go on and you know Everybody have fun, you know, I'm saying but really when I started club ozone, I I really wanted to get away from all the the rock stuff and the EDM stuff and I wanted to bring in You know the real-life feel of walking and you're walking into one of those 90s dance clubs You know how why do we just fire with ozone especially and of course club seduction Friday It's just the atmosphere the people the interaction with everybody out there Like you walk into a lot of these other clubs and it's just a local chat dead All you really hear is a yee-haw or a yahoo. That's not what I want. You know, I'm saying I want people Interacting I want them, you know Hell if I find I'm up on my set DJ and club ozone and I see local chat die for a bit I'm gonna stop that shit. I'm a flip on some stupid shit like the other night I Saw a little lag in the chat. So I'm like, okay guys, you don't start fucking having a good time fucking around I'm gonna throw this shit on I fucking threw on what was that baby shark? I just mixed in a little baby shark bang that gets the room up and going again, you know, I mean, yes I gets everybody having a good time again. I know I know That's all it's but that's what it's all about a club seduction club ozone We just want everybody who does show up there. We don't care how many it is We don't care if it's 120 or if it's 20 We want to make sure that if it's only 20 people in that club We want to make sure those 20 people are having the time of their lives. That's what it ain't about the numbers It's about people having a good time and a whole lot of fun. Yes. Yeah, it definitely is. Um, I'm real quick I just want to welcome Joe and hot rod Maddie Danny McKay Kaz welcome to the to the show yeah, I I know I know what you're talking about, especially like Like doing some stupid shit. Like I'm always doing stupid shit Like yeah, if I if it's something it's something if I can do something ridiculous just to make somebody smile I will because I truly believe that you know some things that we do Whether it just be turning around and and giving somebody a high or a hello or a smile really will Change the course of their day sometimes. I'm just the littlest things have a tremendous impact on us sometimes and so If I can do something stupid and make myself look stupid free for you to laugh. Hey, I'm all for it I will I would definitely do it. And so Okay Go ahead. That's another thing that makes Me and especially courts a little bit different than a lot of the other DJs Well, we'll stop our sets like I have a specific spot in my set where I'm going to give a shout out to everybody in My room, you know What are y'all coming to club wasn't from put that city state chat in a chat put your country in a chat Tell me where you're coming from You know It's just another thing to get the people involved not just sitting or listening to music actually doing something actually having fun Where it's about? It is in or in like I like I tried to tell everybody, you know be an inner and Interactive Activity, right? That's why we that's why I started doing it. Let me let me make it very clear I didn't I didn't I didn't create the podcast, right? I had I got together with two partners. We we all created it together They did the logistics. I did the actual the hosting and everything, but Just let it be known because I've been criticized about it that I did not have the idea to begin with But I tried to make it as much as good as possible have Make it interactive for the for the people I'm sitting in them in the audience because There's two things that that you can do in three and 3dx for the most part. You can fuck And you can dance and and that's it. You know, there's People that's tried to introduce games and stuff in the 3dx, but they don't you know, they don't they don't really take off It's um, it's two things. It's dancing. I'm gonna club listen to music or fucking so we wanted we wanted to have something that in between you you getting tired of dancing for for so many hours or just strictly listening to music you come into Yeah, dance naked joke or You can come out here in a house. What up? Yeah. Yeah, actually I'm from Florida too. I'm right. I'm right outside of Calais. So But you could come in here. We could put on a little show for you Y'all could be active because when I first came to 3dx was back in 2016 and like local like you couldn't hardly type in in local and Have it seen because local was so thick I mean everybody was just it was going off all the time and and now Like it's I call it the the no chat Era where nobody talks in local. It's just completely dead And it just makes the room like stale like what is a hundred and forty people doing They're just standing in a room and nobody's talking in local. So like it's it's crazy, but You're gonna get you're gonna get a lot of people in the group chats or whatever all chatting in there But that's that's understandable, but it's nice to have local a little bit active as well, you know It's funny because I knew of you and we have a sure talk to you like like you were told that I was like I was making I was mean to this person or something and I was told the exact same thing I think we were both looking for each other to ask ask each other why we were why each other was being mean to this particular person and and And when when I when we actually started talking and I was like, no, it's this you're like no It's this and I'm like, huh? That's funny because we were told he's totally exact same Opposite Yeah, and so that's why you got to be an adult seek a person out and say, you know I'll get their status side of the story before you go flip vote on anybody. You know what I mean? exactly, and we met each other and And that was that was it and then and then courts came in. I met him like day he came in the 3dx and and Dane I don't know people remember but Dane used to open this this room cough this coffee time on Sunday mornings and Not many many people would go but I looked forward to that to that time because like I knew that I was going to walk in there and I I had already played out the story that I was going that I was going to tell and I knew it was going to make them laugh because like Pickles was forever in some kind of some kind of dramatic thing. And so I Always would bring would bring just the wildest craziest story That I could Into into into that room because most of the time it was just the three of us We were just relaxing and not not really worrying about and we would tell each other, you know How how our week went, you know, that was that was actually a friend's only room So it was yesterday. It absolutely was So I will kill on a Sunday morning have coffee me and Q could get together and chat a little bit Whoever I'm on the princess. Come on in hang out. Yeah, I'm I'm getting let me what's going on because This is a new system that we're that we're trying out I mean it works for the most part, but it does have a little glitch in it every once in a while So we tried to keep it I'm like try to keep I try to keep an eye on it to make sure that everything is going like it's supposed to be going and so I see I see everything going decent right now, so Okay, so let me get I got so many I got so many Screens open on my on my computer's ridiculous. Okay I'm sure I'm sure you're you know Everybody's curious about your journey to 3dx which which you've always told us about that and your involvement in the in the clubs What what was like what was like you're like you're you're your experience I mean, was it mostly positive like when we when you when you came in and it was there a lot of drama When you came in was like there's a lot of backstabbing or whatnot Like like for me when I first came in it was fun Everything was amazing. Like it was really really fun and and all that and then I don't know what happened Just it started flying off for some reason and like it's just it's not been the best Last couple years, so I don't know how you're how your actual Experience has been I mean you're you're a club owner so, you know, you have to go through some of the same things that that I was going through with my club and Like it's crazy how how they just like I don't know it. It's a backstabbing thing being a club owner I mean, it's just it it's hard Yeah, it can be it can be hard it can be difficult for sure But my experience has been nothing but pretty pretty positive We don't really as the end of you we don't really buy in all the backstabbing stuff. We we get it There's lots of people out there and there's lots of club owners out there that are all about the fake 3dx internet clout and thinking they're all you know, look at how popular I am I get 160 people in my club, even though 80 of them are dancers that I booked in, you know I mean we just let it alone, you know, you you play the game how you want to play it, you know Go ahead do what you're gonna do. I'm gonna do my thing. I'm not gonna have the dancers in there I'm just I want people in there that are unique, you know, if I get 40 people in the room I at least I know there are 40 people that actually chose to be there That's how I want things to go in my club We want you to be there because you want to be there because you chose to be there We even say it every time we close ozone. We we end it by thanking everybody. We appreciate you You know, we're so happy you came down to the club tonight We're so happy you chose to come down and spend your night with us tonight at ozone. You know what I mean? Yeah, a really fun place man. I love I call that my home club because I'm always Like I try to always make an appearance there and and just hang out a little bit Always yeah, it is, you know, y'all make it what it is. And and I just I love being there the the The atmosphere there, like I said is is just always amazing. Here comes my lovely wife Cassie she is She finally got here She's been making dinner. So I love her that shit in 2024 man I got we live it like I don't know if everybody knows we live in a tiny home So our kitchen is only about five feet away from our dining table It's very easy to get get from the kitchen from the dining table to the kitchen. I'm at so so he was just we were just talking about how how he Created the house of Dane and and got oh, you know all these popular chicks to Get on stage and auction their self off which is like a stroke of genius like I want to be up in that brain a little bit and figure out how how he how he did that because like that was When I first when I first got on I'd go in there was a I believe her name was hakata She used to run. I think she's out in Australia or the UK or somewhere She used to run an auction and they used to do it for real X gold to be harder. It's a little roleplay, right? So I was like, okay. Well, I know what I'm doing here I'll go open up a nice little nice little auction where it's all roleplay. We it's all pretend money You know, it's all fake because we're just here for fun, right? We're not here to blow our wallets and spend thousands of dollars on shit like that. You know what I mean? Yeah, I mean I spent I spent enough gold on divorces and weddings like I'm super I'm super gold bro, there you go, baby The auction wasn't really in my view we weren't there just to sell off chicks to go have sex with guys It was more about getting Getting a local chat involved getting everybody to have fun with it You know what? I mean, like I even we're I like how sedate was the very first ones to ever have a male Auction we had the males get up there like myself and a whole bunch of other dominant males Up there and let that let the women bias, you know what? I mean? We turn things around like that just for a little fun oh, yeah, I mean look I I got a During one of them auctions and I had to bring somebody in there to bid on me because like I couldn't get nobody I couldn't even get nobody to bid like ten gold like I was Like I was not in demand at that time. So I was like, oh, well like What do I do? I call I called a chick in there. I was like, hey, I'll give you here I'm gonna give you this much to bid like tingle. I don't care. There's been like one gold on me I mean, you're gonna win. So, you know So she did she she bid she bid like a hundred. Um, it was it was okay. Um, so Just have fun, right it is. Yes, sir. It definitely is I'd watch those auctions for X school. You see guys spending 30k on it's just like god damn. That's a lot of money Oh, are we doing this for a roleplay? Let's have fun with it. Let's do it for free I'll tell you a funny story um Sassy will go into a club right and she will She will just spin on a pole. Um, she will not she don't even have sex with most of the time in the club um that she's dancing in and Like like she gets like all this gold and I'm like, what are you doing? Doing that because ain't nobody ever like just gave me no gold like I've never even been colded on 3dx in seven years So like like how did you just walk right walk into a club and like wiggle your butt and like you get like nine 10,000 gold But I'm I'm okay with it because at the end of the day or at the end of the night Like I am I'm laying my head next to that right when the power button gets pushed I'm the one that's drooling all over that thing right there. So Guys us guys on 3dx. Don't get cold it he's ladies. I'm there last for that I'm happy. I never I've never even got cold about another dude like I feel kind of like like a little sideways about that shit because like like I know people that would They're there they get cold it by I know people and I know guys who've gotten cold at several times And I'm just I'm waiting. I'm still waiting on my day ladies. Like I'm here if y'all want to cold me I'm I won't accept it, but it would be just nice to have a thought going on. So All right Akasha if you want to Continue, um, you're more than welcome to ma'am okay, so Dane your insights into Establishing and sustaining a successful virtual club is invaluable now Let's dive into like the challenges. Um that you've encountered as a club owner in a virtual setting like like what? Did you have any roadblocks or setbacks or anything like that? when y'all first open Zone, hold up. Hold up. Let's I want you. I want you to do something for me before that I want to know what your definition of success is from having more than Having more than four people in there at any given time four people. Yeah Yeah All right Yeah If you can get you get five people in your club to stay in there for an extended period of time That's a success to me because I I mean well you look at the list Um every night, um, you can look at them list and the majority of them list There's nobody in them clubs like like they're either at zero or one, you know, I'm saying And my view is that it has nothing to do with that Local numbers has nothing to do with the amount of people or the success I get is when people are in my club having a good time and I get a DM saying oh my god This is so much fun. Thank you for opening. That's that's my mark of success whether that 20 people in that club or whether it be 150 people in that club. That's that's my measure of success Yeah, that's um, you know Of course like I had the gangbang orgy, right? I didn't I didn't I didn't choose to have that name It just got stuck with me. And so I just kept it and it was it was great and There's a lot of there's a lot of like fuck rooms that women don't go into because they don't like like people just jump on them and and Attack them and shit like that And I know like one of the main things about our club was even though it's a gangbang room Like you're gonna respect everybody there like everybody's gonna respect everybody there You know I'm saying and I'm if a woman come up to me I had a guy get on like yell at me one time or try to yell at me and say I'm just because a woman's that tells you something you're gonna you're gonna ban a man from a club Hell yes, because the majority of the time if that woman's coming up to me And telling me that oh my god, look this dude won't leave me the hell alone. I've been here long enough I know most of the guys here and I know how their mannerisms is and if if they If she comes up and says oh look this is this cat won't leave me alone look I'm gonna ban you like at least for the night Because more than likely she's telling the truth because a lot of the girls they come in there To like let their hair down. It's a gangbang room the majority of them are there for a gangbang, right? Or and and if the girl is in a gangbang room And she's telling me that look this dude's like way over the top. Okay. Well, I'm gonna believe that woman more more times and I'm gonna believe the guy and Like it was it was imperative that everybody knew that like you've got to respect all the women If y'all want to be disrespectful and private, you know in p.m. That's fine. But like in local You know, don't make women feel feel bad or disgrace Disgusted or anything like that like I got took that personally I always wanted one of our rooms to be a place that I want that women and females to come in and And always know that they were going to be Respected there. So yes, sir as far as Any challenges go in running a club? I mean, we're kind of unique being listen to clubs because we don't we don't have The dance groups to coordinate with we don't have the Bartenders the greeters we do it all ourselves, right? We'll greet like Lucy's amazing Friday night She she gets this damn thing in her head where she's got a say hello to every single person that walks through the door by name And you're talking 130 140 people in that room. I'm like, no girl. You can't do that Just use the frickin use the type mass pre-made message that we have the group message when you get 30 or 40 people at that logistically, I understand that because like I just same thing like I I will just open up on a whim and I Believe it's my duty, you know to greet every person that walks through that that door Oh, surely and then like then you'll get like like 10 people Like bouncing in at the exact same time and it's like damn I got I've gotten really good at typing welcome the wrong way Like typing it backwards because I'm so focused on trying to get the person's name. So a lot of times I'll tell you like Something like that because I'm always getting welcome messed up. So And I try to do the math like I'll just put welcome and I'll and I'll copy and paste and copy and paste and Like I'm always like I'm always accidentally clicking on something So I'll be fucking up my copy and pasting and I'll be like posting stream Links and shit and it just yeah. Yeah, this is not conducive to me So as for as for me and Lucy is the end of the real clubs go The biggest challenge we have is is is that DJs? We have certain standards that we like to uphold like especially with ozone Ozone, you have to be able to live mix. You can't live mix. You cannot play ozone It's just the way it is You don't have to be a great live mixer because I certainly am NOT a great Nowhere near courts. If anybody's heard courts, you know how good that guy is Man, he's great It's a little bit less there. Yeah, we don't necessarily have to live mix there But you have to be on the mic. You have to be engaging with your crowd So, I mean you can't just download your free mix You can't just download a Spotify playlist and then plug it in in this clip in our clubs. It just doesn't work Right There's people that I consider that a DJ to a lower extent for sure But just there's like certain levels in DJ. I think in this game There's there's the people that do that and just spend the Spotify playlist, which is totally fine. People love that great go for it There's there's DJs like my my man my man Danny here wonderful on the mic wonderful on the mic He's he's what I would consider a radio type DJ. He he still interacts with this crowd You know, it's just like just like you're listening to the radio on the way to work You know what? I mean great tunes a little bit of interaction here and there that that's more of what club seduction is about But club ozone you have to be like the club type DJ like DJ courts like myself You gotta be able to live mix. You gotta be able to pump up your crowd, you know shit like that and Some people they asked the DJ for us and we're just like well, I'm sorry, but no and you just hate telling people no But like you literally just downloaded your mix. You literally play a Spotify playlist I mean you you just can't start that way and expect to be in a you know in a big volume club Like I'm sure who okay gets the same thing He gets DJs that are brand new and they don't really have a clue what they're doing yet They don't know how to blend songs They don't know how to do the basic things that a decent DJ will do and it's just like I'm sorry Don't play in a in a club work, you know in a smaller venue, you know Get your experience build on it then come to us. Yeah, that's just true But I mean we have those standards for our clubs and that's not going to be changed by anybody Whether you like us or you don't I'm sorry. That's just the way it is Yeah, and you got to be that way right because I you know, like a caution. She's also a DJ. Yes, and Like Akasha, I've never got I've never got to hear you DJ do you talk live on the mic or do you? Yeah, no, I started to talk live on mic when I first got my mic just last year wait Not last year. I think it was no 2022. I first got my mic. So yeah after I got my mic I started talking on the mic So but I was shy at first because I never like I never talked to anybody Through a my mic when it come to DJ in or again like extreme like like twitch After I got used to it. I started talking constantly during my you should I but I've I've I've not known you a long time, but I'm at yeah, I can see that like, okay, so I Stutter I have a stuttering problem. And so I I've never spoke publicly like I was always the guy Sitting in the corner like not ever speaking to anybody in public and I even owned a a very successful Carpet cleaning company on for 13 years, but I never went did my own Appointments or or or estimate because I knew I could not allow but stutter Right and first impressions or everything when it comes to two things like that and So I hired somebody to go do my do my estimates because I would go No, no, not nice to meet you. And as soon as I did that as soon as I did that then I okay They would that you could see I'm just back up and like I had already know I knew that I had already Lost that account right right there So I hired someone to do it for me and plus I it took me years But I I learned how to control Because y'all I stuttered like porky pig like if you ever get me upset or if I get very upset or or or sad something like that I start stuttering like like I did back when I was a child and Look, you go is over there. Just getting it go Joe and I Had to learn the tools to for me to stop stuttering and I still look R's S's T's P's and W's met them in the worst like I will my town that I live in is Williston and I literally got to stop and say Williston because if I if I just do it, it's speed that I'm talking now I'll stutter every time and it's just it's crazy. So, um, this is this is therapy for me, right? Because I talk I host a podcast So you would figure that I would stutter and I do periodically y'all don't catch it Don't some of y'all do but most of the time y'all y'all don't catch that. I'm stuttered and I just play it off Yeah, we just in El Danny. I like every time I come in there. I'm to your room I say I'm gonna unmute my speakers so I can listen to this cat because he's us I know he's a wonderful DJ and every like we we have a 14 year old daughter so most of the time You know, she's in the vicinity. You know, what's the first thing you would do? Um, if you wanted to have a club ozone of your of your own Like what's the first thing that you would tell people to to do if they were if they were interested in and building? You know and opening their own club open their own club The first thing I'd tell them to do is don't get caught up in the numbers game. Don't play that game guys You're let me tell you club ozone gets on average now probably 80 people roughly 80 to 90 to 100 people a night and that's fine But you also got to remember when we first opened we got maybe 15 20 people night after night After night after it's a long process to build up a reputable club like we have So I mean people just walk in they open up their club and they expect to get 70 80 people in there the very first night It's not gonna happen. It takes a long time. It's just like it's just like a brand You know what? I mean? Like NWO brand it takes a long time for people to get recognized to do it You just got to keep going and going and going and you can't get frustrated because nobody's showing up at your club You just do it for you at this do it because you love to do it Do it because you want to be there having fun, but don't do it walk in and expecting Okay, my club's gonna get 80 people tonight. It's gonna get a hundred people tonight because this other club is getting a hundred people It's not gonna happen So many people I see open clubs thinking that way and they get mad because it doesn't happen But I'm telling you it's not gonna happen It took ozone at least seven months before it really started picking up big time And that's with the best DJ in the game spinning Once once the people actually get through and they hear a great DJ like quartz I mean you have to be there. The vibe is so fucking good that he provides. It's just so fun It's so electric and that's what's gonna draw people do something original do something electric Make people have fun in the local chat. That's that's what's big That's what the is the way to build I think to build a successful most of these Most of these people here that you see they get the hundred plus people in their clubs. They do it the wrong way I think I mean it's fine for them to do there Like I said, they're paying their money to do what they want So go ahead and do it but when you have six dance teams three bands 20 fucking servers like you're already it's most people don't seem as that they seem as a way to fucking stack the room because they Once that room number gets to a certain level like sick Everybody's gonna look at the list and say oh, okay. I'm starting to hop It's got lots of people so they'll go there and that's exactly why they do it But the fact of the matter is they walk in the club's dead as fuck because there's really only 20 people paying attention Mm-hmm, as all the other dancers are in their group chats talking or they're either tabbed out not even paying attention to 3dx at all That that's exactly right, you know, I'm you're right and like this like only really been in the whole time I've been around and and been going to these different clubs it's only really a very small minority of people that don't do that and that have brought in numbers and Anika Queen Anika is one of them that that does a great job with she definitely does like that. Welcome to the to the show But it takes it takes you getting out there introducing yourself to people And and getting people to know you right for you to for you to build up a customer base Because basically that's what what it is It's it's a customer base that you're building up and if you if you don't go out there and do that You'll a lot of them will resort to Getting you know, four or five six dance teams in there in their place Just so they can they can get for and the moment they open up they got 45 people in there And but nobody nobody substantial nut I I remember I went into a room and I don't I don't say name but I went to a to a room and there were 11 dance teams in there a whole band and others and I would I would look I took a photo a Screenshot of me looking down on the floor itself and there was like 18 people there that were actually there Room has 120 people 120 140 people in there and and then you then the owner want, you know They'll run around going. Oh, yeah, we're number one. No, you ain't you're you're you got 90 to 100 people in here that are classified as staff And I see one time somebody said I think it was in I think it was on the server or it's on the forums I think but and I know they can't do this because it would cost them too much to be Because you couldn't you couldn't separate them, but they said, you know It'd be nice if if they had two different numbers like one for staff and then one for the actual people that are there That aren't staffed and that would it would be nice. Let's start the beginning What sparked your interest in DJing and how did you get yours get your start or how did you get started? Oh boy, that goes way way back that ties into my boy DJ courts We as probably not not many of you know, we are actually real life childhood friends So, I mean after elementary school even back when we were like 12 years old We would we'd head over to his house go up to his room and start scratching the turntables And his dad was actually a really good DJ way back in the day obvious But yeah, or 12, but we had it was back in like what 19 update myself, but probably late 1980s So, I mean nothing as advanced as today's systems are but yeah We kind of kind of did that for a while. We got into the Teen we used to have teen nightclubs here alcohol free obviously because we weren't legal age yet But yeah We'd go and do that in the weekends and you know life life carries on and out of the city where we're from For work and shit, you know marriage happened divorce happened all that good stuff in life as for this. Yeah But as day for if you have a dollar As for the 3dx journey well I I just you'd go on and be all you go into were rock rooms and idiot em rooms Actually DJs that's where ozone came into play and rest. It's time to go That's one of the unique things about being a live mix DJ and there's not many of us in this game whether they think they are not There's only a very few that are good at being able to mix live mix it in Certain genres like you can go from Soca all the way to 80 80s rap 80s pop hip-hop house We do it all Rock rock with EDM Yeah, I I mean the remix Yeah, the remix Yeah, or or Yeah, or rock with the metal sometimes it depends on if they actually Work with each other because you literally would have to listen to every single song Before you think if certain songs will work well enough up to actually put them in together, you know, yeah otherwise, you're just having a Not a good remix of a song when you have two songs together It doesn't come out good if they're not gonna work well with each other. So that's why it's best to actually Listen to every single song if you want to try to mix each other Before actually doing it because if you do it, you're gonna fuck up I've been mixing right now. I'm gonna tell y'all y'all you two can't hear it But um, they can in the audience that I've learned how to live mix myself so we've got some Fucking going on in the background. I think if it's coming out, right like I think Yeah the only thing is that with these I mean you have to Take it to get them to shut off because it's not a sampler like you got a you got You got to get it all the way to the to the end real quick I'm because you can't you can't pause the sampler if you press pause it just restarts the damn thing. So But last night I tried something and I put on a couple of my my my tunes and I overlaid them Them them orgasm Tracks behind them and let me tell you something man. So you're gonna have a DJ that has already prepared a set list Or it's like places like ozone where we live mix everything We also have the ability we don't have a totally 100% set playlist we also have that ability to be able to read a so, you know, if you're if you're playing say 90s hip-hop music at the moment and you got your local chat. It's quiet, right? You have the ability to hey say, okay I'm gonna transition I'm gonna see how this plays to this crowd because every crowd is different every crowd likes different music So, you know if I'm spinning like say I'll be able to vote Poison and nobody's jiving to that kind of kind of groove at the moment, you know I can easily switch over to something like Walk like an Egyptian old 80s song or one of Lucy's favorite songs What the hell is that song called Lucy goddamn anyway, you can move into like an 80s type jam That's not vibing. You can move over and do kind of like a rock remix. How how is this? How's the club picking up on this? Are they liking this better? You just have so much more versatile Versatility and what you can do is a live mix DJ than what you can do is a already pretty set This is my set list. This is what's getting played That's definitely another thing that makes always own and seduction more unique than a lot of other clubs. Yes, sir It is walking on sunshine. God damn. Then you what are you gonna do then? And so I think it I think it's better To not have a playlist maybe have one but then I know I said it It also to depends on on if you're if you're in a rock room Obviously the people that come there Expect to hear rock music. So I mean you can have a set playlist for that, right? Because you're not gonna spin anything else. You're not gonna change up the theme and go heavy metal. You're not gonna go Reggae when it's a rock, right? If it's a rock. So I mean There but for what is wrong? like you're talking like you're a ACDC Thunderstruck you're talking like What like the 60s 80s rock music? Yeah You're 80s hair bands like you're Like I don't I don't I don't I don't listen to much rock. So like everything that's not our Country or or or hip-hop, you know is pretty much like rock, but I know there's different There's different genre of rocks like yeah you know like You know Like that and then you have your heavy metal rock and then you're like a temporary type Yeah, that's funny because there's a lot of different genres when it comes to everything on songs like of the genre itself Like you have the oldies which is the other 60s rock Too many of them really definitely a lot but what I'm saying is you have the theme there It's just like my boy bad Brad. He opens up a club. It's an 80s Goonies night It's they spend the 80s there obviously people that come in there. No, they're gonna hear the 80s You're not gonna hear you're not gonna hear Frickin Papa Roach or you're not gonna hear Soca or regular you're gonna hear shit like the bangles. You're gonna hear shit like Tiffany, you know all the all the good 80s tune so you can set a playlist Whereas yeah, you come in the club always own we spent a whole bunch of shit like I'll spin I'll go from 80s to Soca. No problem, right? It's just yeah, there's nothing wrong with building a playlist for sure Yeah, I mean, yeah, you know I'm I can see that like like you always got your playlist You know on the side right just in case Everybody has a playlist even even if they're a lot of DJ just so they can I really need a 10-minute break real quick They could throw their their playlist on And it and it play while they go to the bathroom or something because like I don't want to take anybody to the bathroom with Me it's never a good. It's never a good a good thing Like when y'all go to the bathroom with me, so I don't know. I'm good when I spin I don't really have a playlist per se I have probably five or six songs that I'll open up with see see how the vibe of the rooms going See how they feel I mean I have crates full of different music right just sitting there waiting for me to plug in and Mix into the mix and then you know They're not digging the first five or six songs that I've crafted to start my set. I'll switch it up I'll find we work and I'll find what's getting the crowd moving and then we'll go from there I just learned what crates were by the way Because on just on mixed on mix you have to build you a crate right and I'm like crates I'm like, I know what milk crates are just like that But I finally I finally figured out a lot of this this this lingo that you DJs be be spitting I'm hip to it now guys like I can but with the conversation now, maybe yeah, I don't know so but Yeah, it's uh, it's it's a great thing. I mean, I love okay So a newbie or even a veteran in 3d X if they wanted to become a DJ Like and break it into the business per se. What would you what would you tell them and? and Tell us one of your one of your memorable moments of DJ and like one of your one of your wildest times or you're you're not You know your heartwarming time, whatever whatever you decide Yes for somebody to do that wants to break into the DJ game I mean it all depends on what you're what you want to accomplish, right if you want to be more of the Radio-type DJ, which is totally fine So a lot of great radio DJs out there that just speak every once in a while They announce their songs and then they play their songs That's great. If you want to be like a live mix DJ like myself or DJ quartz I mean that that's gonna take a whole lot of practice You need you need to get the right equipment. You need to you need to invest money into equipment like you have 15 grand estimate right, but he's he's a professional DJ. He's done it in actual real-life Clubs, right or I mean I have and I've never DJed in an actual live club But I still have a system that costs a fair fair bit of money and you got it You gotta actually learn what the system do for you you have to understand what certain programs can do like stems that can break up a song into just beats into just Vocals things like that and then you just got a tinker toy around play around with it You just can't walk in as a as a live mix DJ and just say okay go and I'm gonna be good at it No, I'm not even good at it now I don't think and I think I'm pretty decent But I think with the if I practiced a whole lot more than I do I'd be way better than I am like there's so many there's I wouldn't say so many great live mix DJs on here But there's definitely a few very very unknown and very very underrated live DJs and guys like DJ bad Brad Phenomenal DJ when he live the guys like DJ crash down DJ crash down place the club was on all the time He's just absolutely great But he does with the live make very impressive very great deep certified Pluto's another pretty decent Very very unknown and very very underrated DJs and that's just a damn shame because they're very good at what they do I think I think I've arrived to itself. So I don't think I've ever really heard cyber I'll do so I can't comment on that. Okay. Well, I think he's To meet like I said, I have I heard courts DJing so many times. Well courts is by far. Yeah You can call me biased or not. It's not biased because he's by far the best in the game. Yeah, it's not even it's not even close No, but this guy's this that guy is actually gone to DJ competitions and won them in real life So like yeah, any any any one of us in here that that thinks they're a pretty good DJ are probably a decent DJ But they're not they're not on his level. Yeah, you're not even in the same. We're not even playing in the same league Sorry, no, that is that is very true. Yeah No, I don't consider myself great because again, like you said none nobody is in a certain league or the same League as DJ courts, but you know, and if anybody wants to be at that league They have to be practicing just like how DJ courts did for himself. That's how he got there I mean, it's he you're talking 35 40 years of practice too, right? We're not just talking a month or two Yeah Game for like 30 plus 40 years, right? Yeah, I'm not saying people gonna get it You know right there and then of course because it does take that long to get it down But sometimes there are people who can get it down Lesser than that, but I'm not saying oh, yeah, you know, like you can't get to that level you can so many hours of Practicing on doing that to get to that level Yes, because how you think like, you know, they're like the real life DJs did in their lives to like a DJ Thing was marshmallow man a marshmallow. Yes, and then you have What you have Alex Walker? You have practically every single People who gets these music without actually singing like of course like all these rock bands do if you're gonna get to that certain level Like them, they're practically in somewhat the EDM kind of version kind of ways Yeah, but yeah, it does it does take forever. It can't get to that level Yeah, but if you can get it Yeah, I'm gonna be good at it takes a lot of practice and a lot of dedication and a lot of will to do it Yeah, and of course, but that's if you put it so much effort into it So if you can get it time to do it everything if you can't do it every single day Non-stop will probably stop of course because you have to eat sleep, you know, you have a life still But if you can get to that certain point and you can get it done It's like sort of a time than what DJ courts went through and other people went through then Yeah, you can successfully get to that point if you can't yeah, but me personally I don't want to get to that level I'd rather just be like right at the big like down or in the middle But me personally, I'm more just of a gamer than I am a music person, but don't get me wrong I'd love playing music as you know, I like like earlier Reopen our clubs only to play music for people to enjoy They come into our rooms just to listen to the music not because of the numbers not because you want popularity Just because you want to play music for people that would enjoy it and have fun And listen to the music that I play that that's great. You know, enjoy yourself stick around don't have you know I don't expect them to stay forever in the same room, you know, they can go off and do what they want So that's again. It's just how you should be doing. That's a DJ don't care for the number Absolutely, I I only I Only open when I did open from 2 a.m. And 7 a.m All right, because on the people who want gang bangs more and won't most of the time. They're They're late-night owls, right? So And people know that they can come into my club anytime I'm open DJs I mean, you can just start spending and you don't have you know, you can I'll put your stream in you can practice You can play, you know, whatever you want to do And so there's a there's a there's a lot of people to that. Don't tell me. Hey, I'm alive I'm alive mix right and I'm like, okay, like you you make your tracks on the fly. Okay And yeah, I don't I hate people who who who who say that and they're not alive mix the DJ Right, so, um, there's one song that I will tell them on Immediately on the fly. Look, I want you to mix this song right here And it's a it's a it's a it's a well-known song But the one that I tell you to mix is from a cover artist and she's amazing. It's one of my favorite songs of all times But if you don't know nobody will have this version So if you cannot mix that song within five minutes or so Um, then you're you're not alive mix DJ because you have to literally go on YouTube search for the song real quick snatch it And put it in your deck and mix it and I've only had about five people that's come in to tell me that they're alive mixer That's actually mimics that song And and one of them actually recorded it for me and gave it to me And that was a really that was one of that was an amazing DJ He he DJed in my club one night and I've never seen him again Like like it was like a figment of my imagination I had to ask people if that was actually you know If that was if that person that actually came in the night before because like I I've never seen I've never seen him again And but he was you know, he was he would be the only one that I would put in the level of just say DJ of course I think the DJ courts like one of the most amazing DJs on earth Like every time I walk into ozone, the first thing I said is is Q is the baddest motherfucker alive Like yes, you do like you can you can put you can tell he puts everything Into Into that into that into that mix that he's doing like like you can physically see him on twitch doing it I mean you can physically hear him Welcome every human being that comes through that comes through that door like like he welcomes everybody and not many people do that live on their on their As their DJ and like that takes you know, he's dedicated to his craft for sure But he's very good at at his craft. So He's one of the best I think And and I don't I don't know many people that are as bad as he is Oh, yeah, when you're a live mix DJ, you're it's more of a performance. You're performing for the piece That's the whole part and the crowd hyped up pumped up saying yo, what's up scouse? How you doing, brother? Things like that on live might give it a little personal touch. You know what I mean? That's what we do. We do it that seduction. That's what we do it When we show out, you know things like that just little things that make people's day Yeah, y'all do y'all make y'all make wanting to be there a thing, you know, I'm saying instead of It being like oh, we're gonna go here because well, there's a hundred something people know It's it's like we like I when I first brought That into in 3d I said one of really one of the only clubs I go to is club ozone and she's like What's club ozone? I was like, well, that's that's a That's what that's and in my mind before even before Lucinda started really opening up her club. Like that was I always said that that was the best club hands down Regardless any other club in 3ds never open I don't care how many you can have 9,000 people in your club the night before Ozone was always the best in my mind because of the personal touch and and the ambiance Well, thank you. So how how can I? Defend something that I don't even know what what it was. I finally p.m We had a lengthy chat and we figured out what the issue was and and It was it was something that I that that I did But it come in a time that like my mind was spaced out a lot from personal emergencies that I was having at that time and like we came to a really really good Ending for that like I apologize.
