T. Higgins wants to trade from the Bengals, possibly to teams like Green Bay or Chicago. It's good that he's not settling for being on the franchise tag. Wherever he goes, he will make an instant impact and boost the wide receiver room. Josh Jacobs signed with the Packers, which is a great addition to their running attack. Chris Jones got re-signed by the Chiefs for a big contract. The Bills are losing key players on defense and it's uncertain if they will be okay. They may have missed their chance at a Super Bowl. You are listening to WCCU radio, Coastal Carolina Student Radio Station. If this is Sports Uncaged, I am here with Christian and Will. Yes, we had spring break, but we are right back at it, and we had a lot going on in the NFL area this past week with the re-signings and stuff, and this just in today. Literally a couple hours ago, T. Higgins wants a trade from the Bengals. Will, what are your thoughts on that? That's very interesting, because I know he loves to play, but I can see him going to Green Bay, Chicago. Those teams have the money and can make a splash if they want to. Yeah, absolutely. Chicago too, they got a lot of capital they could do. What about you, Christian? For sure. I'm very excited to see that he requested a trade and is not going to fall into that victim trap of, oh, I'm on the franchise tag. We talked about this on the show previously. Anywhere he goes, it's almost like that's an instant contender. Their wide receiver room just got bolstered into the top ten in the league. Even if he's not going to be the one somewhere where he could go to somewhere like Carolina and be that one, even somewhere like Green Bay and still be that one, I really like that Green Bay pick, honestly. If he wants to reach the ceiling, he's got to be a wide receiver one. He's probably going to go to a place where he can be a wide receiver one, but he probably also wants to win. That's the hard part about him if he wants to go to Carolina, but I could totally see him Green Bay. I can also totally see the Bears as a possibility because of the draft capital that they have. They have money. They have $60 million in cap space or something like that. Absolutely. They could trade for him, extend him right off the bat, lock him down a long time. Make a big splash. Absolutely. Again, I don't know how the Bengals are going to be after this. I think they're going to be just fine because Jamar, if they re-sign Tyler Boyd, this is just a huge hit on them because they just lost their wide receiver two. That was a major deep threat and third down conversion guy. I think now with him requesting out, you sort of have to re-sign Tyler Boyd and then go in for another depth receiver just to have, obviously, Joe Burrow, that offense is going to make any receiver look pretty good. Alongside Jamar Chase, I'm sure he's about to eat this year with just more targets from T. Higgins being gone. It would be only odd for him in fantasy, but yeah, they have to re-sign Boyd, maybe bring in a low, maybe like a $10, $15 million receiver. Just someone to kind of round out their court. Absolutely. This has been Sports In Cage. We'll be right back after the break. You're listening to WCCU Radio, Coastal Carolina student-run radio station. I am here. We are back with Sports In Cage for our second segment. We just got some news. Josh Jacobs just signed to the Packers. Surprise. Christian, what do you think about that? This literally came just like right as the break was happening to pull us off air. The first thing I saw when I checked my phone in between, honestly, great signing for the Packers. Huge. The details on the contract aren't out as this literally just happened, but just the thought of him and Aaron Jones playing next to each other, you've got Jacobs in one of the best power backs in the league. Just pure on power, he's top three. And then Aaron Jones just being so shifty, and you're not going to have to give him that same workload with Jacobs there now, maybe keep him more healthy. Just down the stretch, this could be a great not only running attack, but out of the backfield opens up more for Jordan Love with the two, possibly using both of them at the same time, like you would see a little bit with Jones and A.J. Dillon, just obviously Jacobs being a big upgrade over Dillon. Absolutely, and especially since Aaron Jones, he's a little bit injury prone most seasons. You will probably get injured sometime this season. What about you? I love his signing, to be honest. Go back to Chris's saying, talking about Aaron Jones on the backfield and everything, and then having Josh Jacobs, he was explosive. If you see these seasons, having Dalliard seasons, multiple years and everything like that, this is a great signing. Absolutely, and it's surprising because I think they were disappointed by A.J. Dillon because when Aaron Jones was injured, A.J. Dillon tried to fill that spot. Man, he looked like Alexander Madison. He was getting maybe 40 yards a game, and for a power back, they just want something more, which Josh Jacobs will give them more than A.J. Dillon did. Going on with signings, somehow the Chiefs just magically do it with little cap space Chris Jones just got re-signed by the Chiefs, $95 million guaranteed for five years. That's probably the rest of his career. What are your thoughts, Christian? I kind of figured they were going to pay him. I didn't realize it was going to be five years and $95 million. Shout out to Chris Jones' agent getting that deal done. Get him in the bag, you know? Exactly, but they couldn't not re-sign him. He's been such a crucial part for their dynasty run the last five or so years, and he's just been the staple of that defensive front. I don't see anything going to change about that. No one there is going to rival him for it, and other than LeJarrius Sneed was their biggest free agent that was left and waiting for them to sign or not, so they kind of had to bring him back. The $95 million is a little excessive. I'm sure they'll live because it seems like as long as you have a human running out to catch passes from homes, he's going to catch them. Right, exactly, and I think this means for the Chiefs, they're probably not going to sign a big receiver. They're probably just going to rock out with their draft pick since you know this receiver class is pretty big. What about you, Will? What do you think? All right, man. I love the signing. Just because of the fact, when you have a player like Christian, all that defense, like Chris said, the staple of that defense, you have to sign him. That is non-negotiable. You keep him there. You don't let other teams take him back or anything. You keep him there, sign him. I'm happy they did. Yeah, if you have to cut some guys to get that guy, I mean he makes the biggest impact on that defense. Must I say, the Browns are just really good at getting, I don't want to say mid-receivers, but mid-receivers for high draft picks. They just got Jerry Judy. What are your thoughts on that, Will? All right, man. That was a great signing, but I don't know how they're going to perform when they have DeSean Watson and everything just over there. But yeah. Yeah, a lot of variables there. Judy has been honestly underwhelming since he's come into the league. It was a first-round draft pick, selected as the first receiver in a class that featured C.D. Lamb. Great draft class, and then you walk away with him, who just kind of is underwhelmed, not really lived up to his expectations. Whether that's been all his fault, probably not with everything that's been going on in Denver. So to see him get a new change of scenery is going to be nice, probably really just for him mentally. Yes, absolutely. To get out of Denver. Not saying Cleveland would be much better, but to just kind of bolster Cleveland receiving corps, maybe you kind of get the option to work your way and be a pivotal point in the offense again. I told my friends last night about the trade, and I was like, well, I think Judy might thrive at the wide receiver three position as that slot guy because, you know, he is speedy. And, you know, he might get more opportunities instead of being that two or that one, whatever. You know, they flip-flop back and forth in Denver with Sutton. I think it's a good trade. I mean, it was four, fifth, and sixth, so you might as well, right? Yes. My next thing here, are the Bills okay? Like, honestly, are they okay? They just absolutely cut their best players on defense. What are your thoughts, Christian? The Bills, I'm not involved with their defense, but I just think their window is closed at this point. They just lost Gabe Davis like an hour ago, released Jordan Poyer. I think they're going to lose Rasul Douglas in free agency and two more starters on defense. I don't think Diggs is going to stay with the team just based on everything. I think they might look to flip him as he gets more expensive and older. You saw his production kind of drop year after year after year with the Bills. I just, I mean, when you have Josh Allen on your team, you're never out. There are going to be games and times where he can just will you to win, but the team around him just continues to fall, and I am worried about the Bills, especially as that division continues to get better and better with teams like the Dolphins and maybe the Jets are a real football team this year with Aaron Rodgers. What about you, Will? I honestly think the Bills are not okay. Just as a fact, going back to Christian, that team was falling apart, losing a whole bunch of players and everything like that. I don't necessarily think they're doing okay. Yeah, I honestly think with them cutting these guys, they might have just lost their opportunity of making that Super Bowl like they wanted to for the past three years with that team. Now they have to do a reboot on that defense. Not so much on the offense, but you've got to do a reboot on that defense now, getting another safety and getting another cornerback. Light's gone now. They were also just, oh, Tredavious White. I forgot about that. But they also just, last year and in previous years, you've seen them struggle to have a receiver other than Stefan Diggs be consistently productive or provide a role consistently. And now you just lost your best wide receiver not named Stefan Diggs. Right, exactly. And you don't really have the money to go out and pay another one to get that similar production. So you've got to depend on the draft, which luckily for them, again, like I said, this wide receiver draft is pretty stacked. It's pretty good. So I just want to talk about a couple franchise tags here that I thought were very good franchise tags, very smart ones. Buck's a franchise tag, Antoine Winfield, hopefully to get a long-term deal with him next year. I thought this was a great job by them. What are your thoughts, Christian? Yeah, Winfield was a key part in their Super Bowl win, obviously throwing up the peace sign to Tyreek Hill in the Super Bowl. Right. But other than that, has really just come in. And since he came to the league as a rookie, he has done no wrong. He's been a top safety since, you know, literally, sorry. He's been a top safety for so long now, you kind of have to pay him. He's been a pivotal part of the defense. Also, if you're going to pay guys like Baker and Mike Evans to bring the team back, why would you not bring your defensive leader back as well? Right, 100%. It wouldn't make sense to let him walk in free agency. Yeah, how about you, Will? I love this signing. Just for the effect, like we said, on defense and everything, on a safety, we'll keep him no matter what. If you sign Baker and then Mike Evans again, you keep him. Yeah, no, 100%. I agree with you on that. Brian Burns, you know, as a Panther fan, I thought this was the right move. I thought this was really the only move other than to let him go. Because I love Brian Burns. We need some draft capital, though, if we want to rebuild this team. And this is a non-guaranteed franchise tag. So if another team signs him right now, we get two first-round draft picks, which I am hoping that's what happens. Otherwise, I love Brian, and I'm glad he's back. What are your thoughts, Christian, on the Panthers? Yeah, the Panthers, no real need for Brian Burns. He's not going to be consenting this year or even really maybe next year. But this is a guy who's in his prime, who's been in his prime for the last, like, four years now. Just great edge rusher. Nothing bad to say about Brian Burns. It's just time to move on. Get your last couple of good years on a team that needs it and go try to make a run somewhere. Yeah, truly. What about you, Will? Honest, if I was a Carolina interceptor, I would have just let him win, honestly. Because, like you said, if I was in a position, I would have wanted to win. I don't want to be on Carolina and rebuilding and everything for the next five to seven years. Yeah, I think they really just franchise-tagged him to get some draft capital out of him if some team wants to make a trade. Kind of like an intimidation, like, oh, we want him, and then you've got to pay something, you know. Which I'm glad. And then, lastly, for this franchise-tag segment, Chiefs, LeJarius Sneed, probably the best franchise tag this offseason to do. What are your thoughts, Christian, on that? Yeah, they couldn't just let him walk because it appeared that they're not going to – they weren't able to get a long-term deal done. And Sneed's being shopped right now on the block. So we'll see what happens with that. From the Chiefs' perspective, it's like how could you not, you know. Right, 100%. All pro corner, kind of broke. He's been good, but he's never been this good, like broke out this year. Got to bring him back and – or at least, you know, give yourself some time to bring him back with the tag. Because the worst comes to worst. You trade him away, you get some value, which is still ten times better than just letting him walk for nothing. Yeah, 100%. And this has been SportsLinked Cage. We'll be right back after the break. You are listening to WCCU Radio, Coastal Carolina Radio Station. We are back here at SportsLinked Cage. I am here with Will and Christian. We go into our second segment. Let's talk about Russell Wilson to the Steelers. This happened late, late last night. I mean, like 11.55 p.m. Christian, what are your thoughts on Russell Wilson to the Steelers? Really came out of nowhere, like pretty late last night, too, for some NFL news. And it was like the first major signing, I guess, of this new period. For the Steelers, you know, you're not really paying them that much because he's still owed, I think he's still owed like $40 million from the Broncos this year. Crazy. Yeah, his crazy contract. So you're not really paying them that much. Low risk, high reward. Absolutely. Love those type of moves. You get a veteran in your situation, but the Steelers seem to have everything but a quarterback. They were also saying this about the Broncos before they traded for Russell Wilson, so you might not want to fall down the same trap again. But that Broncos defense, not Broncos, that Steelers defense is so good and kind of willed them into the playoffs last year. The offense started to come together a little bit towards the end of the year. So to see them have a veteran, you know, experienced guy who can lead a team, I think it's a great move. Yeah, 100%. What about you, Will? I honestly love the signing and everything like that because it brings in competition for Kenny Pickett and everything like that, but you also bring in experience, and Russell Wilson can teach Kenny Pickett. Right, absolutely. And like you said with the competition thing with Kenny Pickett, first of all, it was a win-win deal for any team that signed Russell Wilson because they didn't have to pay him much at all because the Broncos are still paying him with that. And this will make Kenny Pickett better with competition because if he loses his job, you are under a veteran presence, and Kenny Pickett's never been under one yet. Yeah, which is huge. I mean, sometimes that's more, you know, or not more, but just as important as actually having him on the field, just setting yourself up for the future. Give a guy for Pickett who's obviously struggled to learn from and compete with, especially in the beginning. Because like right now, I can guarantee you, Kenny is probably like, I don't care if we sign him. Like, this is my team. Like, you know, I'm trying to take control. And that's what you want to see from your young guy who's been struggling, you know. Maybe just that extra effort picks up the sloppy things that he's been doing. Maybe he throws for over 200 yards. Right. We'll never know. And speaking of that, Matt Jones is gone. What does this mean? Well, I mean, we obviously know what it means for the Patriots, but this is big for the Patriots. This is like the official meeting. Who do you think they're going to draft, Christian? Look, this is a never Patriots pick ever, like our entire lifespan. But they have, what, picked three, I believe? Jalen Daniels. They're picking him. I don't care that Bill would have never picked him, but Bill's gone, you know. Like, I think Jalen Daniels is going to start this new era in New England and just kind of try to revise everything or revitalize their whole franchise because Matt Jones had that one year. The last two years has been pretty rough. They've never seen a playmaker like him except for like a 34-year-old Cam Newton, you know. I don't really do much, but yeah. What about you, Will? What do you think about this? Honestly, this is good for New England. A fresh new start. I can also see them bringing in Jalen McDaniels. You've seen how he was playing at LSU and everything. That hires me to win a trophy, but yeah, I think it's a good signing. Yeah, 100%. To me, it's either Drake May, Jalen Daniels, you know. I don't think – but I do agree with you on I think it's Jalen Daniels to be – this is going to be a whole new scheme. We're not going to basics anymore with Bill. Don't get me wrong. Basics worked with Tom Brady. I think there's got to be a playmaking ability going on in New England nowadays. Speaking of what we said in the franchise tag segment, do you all like franchise tags? Because there's been a debate about if it should be a thing. Personally, in my opinion, I think the franchise tag has always been good. I always thought it was smart because it gives teams another chance to re-sign the guy the next year or trade them. What about you, Will? What do you think? I honestly like it a lot, but my caveat to it is when a player is being disrespectful about how much they're offered, that's when I don't like it, you know? Yeah, absolutely. From the player's standpoint, I completely understand why you would be frustrated. What about you, Christian? Yeah, I completely agree with that. The only person that benefits from the franchise tag is the team. If you think it only hurts the player, it's like, I think it's the fifth average salary in your position, depending on who's tagged. It's like, yeah, T. Higgins was making $20 million this year. That's still $20 million, you know? But when you can be making... He could probably be making closer to $35 million, realistically, around that. So it's like, if you've got $15 million on the table right now, coming off of a shaky season still, what if you have another shaky year this year on the tag? Then your value is way back down there, and you're maybe getting offered less than that $20 million that you're getting now. You see it with... There's a reason that all these players sit out for it. Le'Veon Bell literally ruined his career over it. 100%. Also, Melvin Gordon, pretty much... I don't say he did it as bad as Le'Veon, but he tanked his career that way, too. I think for the teams, it makes so much sense, because it's like, yeah, there's only one, so it's not overpowered or anything. But still, that's such a... You see Legereus Knee getting tagged this year, Higgins tagged. There's always good players getting tagged. Yes, being of Legereus Knee, I didn't get to will on that. You go ahead, Will, with the Legereus. I want Legereus Knee to come to the Eagles, man. Come to Philly, we need him on that. That's a top... I'd like to join other players, but yeah. I agree. Hopefully Legereus isn't listening to this. 49ers. We've got to talk about it. They just lost one of their biggest parts of that D-line. Eric Armstead is gone now. They couldn't reach a deal, and they announced that he will be released. What are your thoughts on that, Will? That's a big blow, when you have him on defense and everything. That's a big blow when you can't really replace someone like that. Hey, we've got some breaking news right now about the Atlanta Falcons. Right now, Curt Cousins just signed a four-year deal with the Falcons. Wow! For the Ian Rapper brand. Wow! Four years of Curt in Atlanta. That's wild. Wow. Okay, so I thought I had to drop that one. The Vikings have no quarterback. Wow. That's crazy. Josh Jobs, he's... I'm just kidding. Maybe you never know. And then the Falcons choose him to bring in Kirk out of everyone. All right, we've got to talk about it. We've got to talk about it. Wow. Some breaking news there. This is big. I mean, in my opinion, this is a great signing for the Falcons. This is great. You've got a guy that Will passed to his threats. So, you know, hopefully Raheem Morris sets him up for that chance, you know, because, man, Kirk loved Justin Jefferson. He sure freaking did, and he made Jordan Addis look really good, too. This is big. And Hawkinson. Absolutely. He drew the ball to Hawkinson so much. Now he's got a threat as a running back that's also receiving that, too, in Bijon. My goodness, this is big for the Falcons. This is huge. This is the best quarterback they've had since the last few years of Matt Ryan. What do you think, Will? I mean, it's honestly crazy, but I do think that was a great signing to Atlanta because you have your players and everything like that, and you can run for the ball in the right spot by receivers. Yeah, 100%. That's, wow. To me, he is, like, the perfect fit for Atlanta. While, like, Justin Fields might be like the, oh, they'd be so tough with Justin Fields, that'd be so good. On Instagram, you know, Kirk might be able to run an offense better. He's just like a glue guy. You see how that Vikings team loved him, and he put on the chains every day dancing with Justin Jefferson. You know, I'm sure he jettisoned his heart right now and looking at that contract, like. But I'm getting sidetracked. He's just going to come in and almost, like, he's just like a better Jimmy G, where he's just going to manage the game for you, you know. But Kirk has the potential to really compete more, I would say. Although he hasn't had great playoff success, he will come in and not really make mistakes. Oh, 100%. He's going to bolster that offense and be able to use his players and make the set by receivers and run backs better. Also got to talk about another quarterback and their situation now. Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans. They're back. Baker Mayfield just signed yesterday, three years, $50 million guaranteed, $100 million deal. What are your thoughts on that, Will? I really like keeping Mike Evans because as you watch him play, I get the egos. He tore us up and everything like that. Then the playoffs and everything like that. I really like that. But I'm happy that Tampa Bay got Baker Mayfield and everything like that. But my only thing is I didn't really like how they signed him in the Tampa Bay contract three years. If he meets Wilson, that doesn't hurt. I think the only benefit of that contract was the three years part. Yeah. Because I think the three years was a shorter term, but I think it was perfect for the next setup of a QB. They might draft a QB. I'm going to be behind Baker and learn from it, like the Jordan Love situation. What about you, Christian? Yeah, after the year they had, how could you not bring him back? I never could really see Mike Evans leaving. I feel like he's just going to be one of those players that only ever plays for the Buccaneers. And I don't really see a reason why he would leave if they were going to bring Baker back, because he just continues to put up these thousand-yard seasons, just so consistent. Absolutely. This has been Sports Uncaged. We'll be right back after the break. You're listening to WCCU Radio, Coastal Carolina, student-run radio station. We are here, Sports Uncaged, with this third segment. And after the Kirk thing, what is in store for Justin Fields now? Because both of the teams that were talked about getting Justin Fields just got new QB signings. Christian, what are your thoughts for Justin? This is just – I've seen some reports the last few days about how there's been not as much interest as the Bears would have liked on Fields. That's really showing now, as the main two front runners and roomers have replaced their quarterbacks already. I don't know. I mean, that leaves the Vikings open. I was just messing around. I'm sure the break's saying New England is still open. Because I think he's still good enough to where you can trade for him and start him rather than trade for him and be like, yeah, we'll bring him in as a backup for a year. He's not reached that territory for me yet, but honestly, I'm not sure. And I wouldn't be surprised if Chicago just gets so little offer that they just hold onto him. Absolutely. How about you, Will? I don't know. Honestly, I could see Chicago trading Justin over to the Vikings. I don't know if I can say it to the Vikings. I just want like a third, fourth run pick. And then you possibly find Justin Jefferson, but after that big loss that Minnesota just lost, I don't know if Jefferson's going to be there anymore. Yeah, he is. I think he's going into a contract year, and they haven't been able to extend him yet. It would be hard to imagine that the Bears trade Justin Fields to the individual rival Vikings. Right. That just wouldn't make sense for them to do business with a team they're going to play twice a year. So I don't know about the Vikings. There's really not that many spots. Honestly. Because obviously he wants to be a starting QB, which I think he needs another opportunity to be a starting QB, but at this point it sounds like he should probably just go somewhere where he can compete with someone for the QB one spot. Yeah, or like a shaky starter. Maybe Tennessee? Tennessee, maybe. Raiders? The Raiders, yeah. That's true. The Raiders could be one. Tennessee's a good one. I don't know. They just continue to draft quarterbacks, so I feel like they're probably going to give Levis a year at least. Yeah, they'll probably give Levis a year. I mean, I guess if Justin Fields is available at the right price, if they're getting desperate the day of the draft, you can have Justin Fields for a fourth round pick. It just depends on what the Bears want to do, because they seem like they want a lot for Justin here. He's not worth a lot. I think we all agree that Justin's probably out of Chicago and that Caleb Williams is probably the new guy up in Chicago. I'll say he is. Yeah, so this is, man, this is big for Justin Fields. This offseason has been huge already so far. We're going to switch it over a bit to a little bit of basketball. I know March Madness bracket has not been set yet, but we're going to go off the top 25 right now-ish, or some of the people who have officially probably made it. Who are your sleepers? Probably Purdue. Purdue. Yeah. They've been playing good, but they haven't been playing when I see them. Yeah, I agree. I think my sleeper, I'm probably going to have to go here with, I don't want to be biased, the Gamecocks, South Carolina. South Carolina can indeed be a sleeper here, but I also really like Auburn. Auburn is a very good shooting team and defensive team. Yes, they've had some injuries this year, but they have battled through it. I think that they're a big sleeper here. What about you, Christian? Look, not sleeper. I think UConn might repeat this year. I think that's a very real possibility. For sleeper, I'm going to go Marquette. It's an experienced team. They're always there. I feel like one of these years they've got to get it done. Why wouldn't it be this year? They'll find a way. That being said, that stuff is just so impossible. There's so many upsets. It's crazy. That's why it's so awesome. Yes, even colleges like Creighton, but Loyola Chicago would probably be in there again somehow. There's always that little college that just goes to the Elite Eight. Creighton would be a good sleeper pick. They just killed UConn not too long ago. Yes, exactly. There's going to be a sleeper in there. Sticking with college basketball, SEC tournament is coming up. Who do you think is going to win that one? Oh, Alabama. They're playing really well and everything like that. I can see Bama winning it. You've got their offensive defense. Point guard, your shooting guard. But, yes, they're going to be playing well. What about you, Christian? I'm going to go Tennessee. It's all in connect, man. He is good. He is good. Tennessee, it seems like they're good pretty much every year. They've got the nice little warm-up pants with the orange and white stripes and everything. The vibes always seem good over there, and they're just always there. I'm going to have to agree with you on that. I think Tennessee is also going to win that. Just because of the culture going on there. That stadium is packed all the time. And you know Tennessee fans, they will be there wherever that SEC tournament is at. I forgot where it's at. I think it's Greenville, Kentucky, I want to say. All right, let's go to the NBA here. This is something I came off the head with. Oh, big signing. Breaking news. Hold on. Oh, my God. St. Paul Barkley is going to the Eagles. Oh, my goodness. Let's go. Let's go. Oh, my God. Hold on, hold on. I just swiped out of it. Saquon Barkley to the birds. Wow. It was between us and Houston, really. And to see him come home to Philly. The Penn State player. Oh, man. He's got a three-year $37.7 million deal. Man, that's cheap. He's coming home, baby. He's coming home. That's ridiculous. That is cheap. Cheap money right there. This is the best day of my life. Oh, my God. Oh, man. Yes, Saquon. All right. It feels weird being in a room with two Eagles fans. Gosh. All right. I guess we've got to talk about that now. What does this mean for the Eagles' offense, Christian? You go right ahead. Eagles downfall. Eagles downfall this. Eagles downfall that. What's downfall? You see how he was doing in there? He said that, man. That's what I'm saying. Bro, Barkley. A position we need. People saying Eagles downfall on the DeAndre Swift signing with Chicago. Who needs him? Exactly. Who needs him? I'll take the better hometown boy. Yeah. Yeah. Come back home. Exactly. This is crazy. Best day ever. Yeah, exactly. And y'all just signed Dickinson back, right? Bryce Huff today, too. Oh, man. This is huge, man. This is another play. It's a better playmaker for y'all. This is the best running back y'all had. Oh, yeah. Since we've had a committee for so long. This is the first time. Saquon Barkley to the birds, baby. Oh. You're getting one of the best receiving backs in the league. One of the best elusive, if not the best elusive running back in the league. And, you know, injuries about Saquon. He's on a different team now. Injuries are probably gone. He's on a contending team now. They're done. We could honor for you from the RPO. We think that because I know the Eagles like to run that a lot. Yeah. Oh, yeah, for sure. I'm already picturing the Kelly Green, Saquon Barkley jerseys I'm going to be wearing in a couple months. This is big for their run game. This just makes it more of a threat for Jalen Hurts to run the ball as well. Again, this is probably now the best offense right back at it again this year. Hopefully that defense just shows up again. Yeah. You know. Man. Saquon. Hey, baby. Saquon Barkley. Not even that expensive either. It's three years, 40 million. It's three years. Yeah. A little under 40. 26 guaranteed. And, like, per year, it's 15 million. Wow. Not bad at all. It's not bad at all. All right. Just bring it with you to the Eagles, bro. Just come here. That's crazy. And now he gets to play the former Giants team, you know, twice a year. Twice a year. Ever since Saquon got drafted to the Giants, you know, like, he's at Penn State. He was electric at Penn State. Obviously getting drafted, I think, what, third by the Giants? Like, something really early. I was like, man, I can't wait for Saquon to leave the Giants so I can get his jersey. Man, I can't wait to see Saquon on another team and just so he can succeed. And it's like, wow, you know, last year there was a little pause. It was like, I'm going to sign my franchise tag. I'm going to be there, you know. Now, Hits Free Agency comes home. Storybook. Storybook. That's like a movie. You know what would make it more of a movie? If he has a CMC season this year. Oh, yeah. Woo, buddy. I see a lot of touchdowns going with him in the screen game. Oh, yeah. The RTO game that they run a lot. This is big. This is huge. Oh. Oh, my goodness. I can't wait for next year. He's amazing. Football season come back already. Wow. I could kill it with a little baseball. Mark Sanders bring back football. I was offering Miles Sanders back to y'all, and y'all didn't want to take that. No, bro. Like y'all knew Saquon was going to come back. He's done miracles. Coming home. That's crazy. Thank you, Howie Clutch, man. Man, I don't even want to talk about NBA anymore. This is crazy. Yeah. Gosh. Man. Gosh, the Giants can't just get out of this hole. They really can't. Now they're, they just, Daniel and Jones are still on that huge contract that they gave him for no reason. I mean, this is big for the Eagles. This Eagles team. You thought they were going to be on the downfall. It's just not. Hey, what downfall? Come on now. Come on. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. The downfall. We'll be right back after the break. You're listening to WCCU Radio, Coastal Carolina Student Ram Radio Station. We are back after a whopping third segment that didn't even turn into a basketball. Why am I saying that? A little off script there. And then, of course, we're going to stick with NFL on this outro. What NFL team do you think is best set for the future? Eagles, man. Come on. Here we go. Here we go. I don't even know why I asked that. Why do you think the Eagles are the best team set for the future? All right. We're just at Berkeley. You see how we play New York. You guys are at Buffalo. You see how we play Jets. Hopefully, we can get a legitimate seeding there. It's safe to bet. Real defense. A serious need would be a crazy need. Exactly, man. You see the offense. You see the defense. We're second on positions in everything I said, man. Bet? Okay. I'm not going to say the birds, but I'll say the Bengals for right now. You still have a young Joe Burrow, young Jamar Chase as the rest of the offense still grows. They're losing some pieces, but it is what it is. Yeah. I'm a big Burrow believer. I think I want to go. This is a hot take. Absolutely a hot take. I want to go with the Bears. That was the other team I was thinking. I want to go with the Bears if they do something with this money that they have and these picks that they have. This is so big for them. We've been talking about their future for four years. Everyone's been talking about their future for four years. When they drafted Justin Fields, they're like, oh my goodness. Chicago's going to change. Chicago didn't change. But this is big. This is big for the Bears. I can't get my mind off this equals thing. I'm sorry. This is big for the Bears this offseason. They need to do something with this money and these draft picks. This is big. Knowing the Bears, they're probably not going to do anything. Knowing them, looking at the past, I'm not really confident in the Bears. Honestly, I understand that. But they re-signed Jalen Johnson, which was a great job. That was so smart of them. That's the first good move that they have. Otherwise, then trading the pick with Carolina last year. I certainly shed a tear while saying that. Again, if they get Tee Higgins, that would be amazing for them. And they need some O-line help, too, or Caleb Williams. That's going to come in here unless they keep Justin Fields. It's going to be Caleb Williams. Defensive-wise, they just signed Kevin Byron. Even though he's a little bit past his prime. Honestly, what are your thoughts on Chicago's offensive future? Honestly, if they're going to bring in Caleb Williams and everything, I wouldn't mind drafting Marvin Harrison Jr. and putting him at the 1-0-1 and then using the money that we have. What's it called? I'll go on and pay Tee Higgins or a big slasher, my receiver. Yeah, 100%. What about you, Christian? They can really do anything they want. I can see them. You draft Marvin Harrison, you trade for Tee Higgins, you don't have to take a receiver anymore and build the O-line. Yeah, this has been a wild Sports Uncaged and a fly eagles fly.
