The speaker discusses the upcoming Formula Drift season and shares a list of approved pro drivers for the 2024 season. While not all drivers on the list may participate, the speaker highlights a few drivers to watch. These include Odi Bacis, who has been consistent and a title threat; Ben Hobson, a rookie to watch; Conor Shanahan, who is expected to make an impact in the future; James Dean, who is ready to fight for the championship; and Simon Olsen, a strong competitor who will likely be in the title battle. The speaker concludes by expressing excitement for the season and mentioning the upcoming event in Long Beach. Hello and welcome back to the page for another video. Today we're going to be shifting gears from our NASCAR content for just a moment because Formula Drift is almost back in action. In fact it's back as early as next month. So here we have the 2024 approved pro drivers list. Now quick note, just because a driver's on this list doesn't mean he's confirmed to be running this season. This is just the eligible drivers to run pro this season. But either way, I'm going to assume that all of these drivers are going to run even though statistically probably a few are not. But I will be giving you my ones to watch from this list. Going in alphabetical order here, number one, Odi Bacis. Odi and his steel suspension team has always been scary in seasons, has always been consistent. With one win last season, it seems like he's always in the mix. I do think this year him and his steel suspension team will be a true threat to the title when it's all said and done. Next up to me, Ben Hobson. Ben Hobson was the star driver in pro spec, obviously winning the championship, making the jump to pro this season in the rookie class. While it's not confirmed on paper what team he'll be racing for, a lot of speculation goes into he will be joining RTR. Whether this is true or not, no matter what team he drives for, I still think he's going to be one to watch, not exactly for the championship, but for rookie of the year. Next up, give me Conor Shanahan. I think everybody has the same reaction when we read Conor Shanahan's name on this list. I think Conor is going to come over here and run pro and he's going to be in the mix. Probably not right away, but he will find a way very, very shortly to be in the conversations. Watch out for him to be very scary once he gets it figured out. Next up, give me James Dean. We're now going into year two in his RTR career. He had a brand new car last season, there were some hoops to jump through. However, I think he's got that thing dialed in and figured out. Hell, he even got a podium with a broken collarbone. I think he's ready to fight for the championship this season. And finally, give me Simon Olsen. Is it Simmon or Simon? Anyway, the field suspension teammate to Odeebochies had an almost similar season to Odeebochies, minus a win. Very, very consistent. A handful of podiums. Very, very scary in competition. Also, fun fact, boss Odeebochies is 0 for 2 battling Simon. I think this is the year that they and Simon will be battling for the title. He will be in the mix. Mark my words. And there you have it guys. There is the shortened version of my ones to watch for the 2024 Formula Drift season. Can't wait for Long Beach. See you there.
