Good morning, good evening, and good afternoon, and welcome to the Veritas Podcast, where the truth becomes a number one priority for our listeners. Today, we delve into the electrifying rum of the U.S. state, with a countdown of the top three knockouts of all time. Coming in at number three, we have the breathtaking showdown between Pettis and Henderson. Picture this, in the final moments of the title fight, Pettis, against all odds, with a stunning flying head kick, launching off the kid to the thunderous roar. At number two, the legendary clash between McGregor and Aldo, where McGregor's lightning-fast left hook steals the fate of Aldo in a mere 13 seconds, causing the number one knockout in the UFC. And finally, claiming the top spot at number one, we revisit the iconic battle between Randalay Silva and Rampage Jackson, witness a Silva's knee sends Jackson crashing to the canvas, unconscious in a mere 30 seconds. So go ahead and prepare to be enthralled as we dissect these moments of pure adrenaline and sheer spectacle. Now let's go ahead and dive in. Alright, good morning everybody. So coming in at number three, we have Pettis versus Henderson. This fight took place during December on the 16th in the year 2010. At the time, Benson Henderson and Anthony Pettis were both 12-1, with Anthony Pettis taking the win and climbing up to 13-1, making Benson Henderson fall down all the way to 12-2. The knockout happened in round three, as Benson Henderson was preparing to protect the punch when Anthony Pettis climbed up the cage with his foot and struck Benson Henderson in the face, flying into the face of Benson Henderson and causing him to fall to the ground. This fight ended up being a knockout by technicality on round three. Let's go ahead and take a listen. What an electric moment that was. That just goes to show that a fight can change at any second. And with that, we're moving down to number two. At number two, we have McGregor beating Aldo in a 13-second knockout in the first round. At the time, Conor the Notorious McGregor was 18-2, while Jose Junior Aldo was 25-1 as the ruling champion. McGregor, the underdog, was not expected to win this fight and surprisingly shocked the world when he delivers a 13-second knockout with a left hook, striking the chin of Aldo and causing the fight to end instantly on UFC 194. This fight took place on December 12, 2005 at the Las Vegas Arena. Let's go ahead and take a look at such an impactful and shocking moment. What a moment for Conor McGregor that was. That is the fight that brought Conor to the spotlight and made him the new UFC featherweight champion, coming in at 145 pounds at that instant 13-second knockout with such amazing power and performance. Up next, we have number one, which is my personal favorite, Vanderlei Silva versus Quentin Jackson in their second attempt to go at it with each other. This was back in the pride fighting days for the middleweight championship. We had Vanderlei Silva coming in at 26 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw. His nickname at the time was the Axe Murderer. And then we have Quentin Rampage Jackson, of course, the nickname Rampage, with a record of 20 wins and 4 losses. This was a very, very, very hateful relationship that they had against each other and they constantly would try to see who would win. They had up to 4 fights with Rampage Jackson winning in the UFC, but Vanderlei dominating the pride fighting arena. Let's go ahead and take a look at that moment in time when they went at it. Jackson walks in with a right hand and he's done, he's done. Oh, and look at me again. Come into it, the middleweight heavyweight. Oh, my gosh, Quentin Jackson has been knocked out. The bad blood between these two continued well after this fight was over. In UFC 92, Jackson got his revenge by knocking out Silva in the first round. What a knockout that was. I don't know if you guys can hear it, but visually, if you can imagine this, Vanderlei Silva was kneeing nonstop, Rampage Jackson as he was unconscious, just constantly for around 30 seconds until finally Rampage Jackson's body gave out and he collapsed into the floor, completely drowning in a pool of blood in front of him. He came out okay, but Vanderlei Silva definitely took that W and that is what made him the Pride FC middleweight champion, coming in at 93 kilograms. This fight occurred on October 31st, 2004. Great fight. I recommend you guys to highly go back to YouTube and try to see this. This was during Pride 28. Pride was one of my favorite times to see fights compared to UFC when they had all these rules. That's why they called Vanderlei the axeman because he used to do this thing called an ax kick where he came in the middle of somebody's feet and with the ball of his heel, he used to stomp on people. That was called an ax kick back in the day. That is why Vanderlei is called the ax murderer and he showcased some of his skills of kneeing Rampage during that fight. Definitely worth a number one placement in this type of UFC fight, if it's my opinion. With that, I want to go ahead and say that that concludes today's episode on the Veritas Podcast. We hope you enjoyed a deep dive into the world of the UFC's greatest knockouts and the truth that they unveiled.
