Talk: 2011-07_24 The Way Of The Breath - Anapanasati as a complete meditation practice. #7.json Start_time: 00:56:39 Display_question: What do you mean by a field of energy? Keyword_search: energy, mindfulness, objects, English language, intelligence, silence, Question_content: Questioner: What do you mean by what do you mean by a field of energies? Or to think, or to have thoughts, as energies? Larry: Yeah. It's just language. Thoughts. All right, so it's just language. I'm trying to use more modern language for it. Scientific language. Everything is energy. So that let's say, even seeing mindfulness, is seeing energy. It's a very subtle form of energy. Don't get hung up on the word. The reason I'm using it is that, people say I was mindful of something, and then everyone learns what to say. I was with it, I noticed it, and I've learned I have to question find out, well, just what actually is going on. So, field of energy is essentially a better way, to a different way of saying, it is just what's happening to you. Break_line: So I'm using it as, let's say in some of the ancient texts, they're translated as objects, like thought objects, mind objects. That implies they have more solidity than… the energy is something that seems to me, using English language, comes a little closer to the fact that everything is, and some energy, is very extremely subtle. I would say the energy and silence. What happens in the silence, is a kind of intelligence, this is the best I can do, that's activated, and that you have access to. You can't get it in school. And it doesn't come from thought. It comes from thought being suspended, and that its inherent. So, if that word doesn't do it, don't worry about it. End_time: 00:58:27
