Talk: 19920226-Larry_Rosenberg-UNK-anapanasati_full_awareness_of_breath_series_tape_3-33806 Leandra Tejedor.json Start_time: 01:13:57 Display_question: Can you say something about the practice of noticing by naming what's happening and how it relates to the other practices? Keyword_search: mental noting, koan, mantra, conscious breathing Question_content: Questioner: Can you say something about the practice of noticing, by naming what's happening, and how it relates to the other? Larry: I don't do that practice. Probably other people. You mean mental notes? Questioner: Yes. Larry: Other people are more qualified. I would be speaking just from a book. I don't know it from my own practice. I've done a little of it, but not much. How to coordinate it with the breathing? Questioner: If it's different? Larry: No, it's the same. Conscious breath is one way to help you be in the moment. The mental notes is another way, to help you be in the moment. A mantra is another way, a koan, is another way. No, and if you're drawn to mental notes, and not to the breath, then do that. Conscious breathing is not for everyone. There's no technique for everyone. Yeah, I think it accomplishes I've done it enough to know that. Yes, if you're more drawn to that, do that. End_time: 01:14:45
