I have a pain in my back. And this last meditation, I began to relate to it as a friend, because it was really an aid in focusing, which gave it a whole new twist. Larry: Do you want us to intensify that pain a little bit more? Questioner: It was only momentary. Larry: Right. Short lived friendship. Questioner: At least my mind wasn't one. Larry: Yes, okay. But you were able to… in other words, the pain was there, and you were able to see, not make it a totally black, and white, kind of thing. Pain-bad, pleasure-good. Questioner: Some of it was a strategy. If I call it a friend, maybe it will go away. Larry: Right. End_time: 00:49:55
