The speaker is excited about doing a podcast on Queer Theory. They plan to discuss various intersections related to Queer Theory, such as race, gender, and sexuality, and how they are connected in the American Empire. They want to challenge the ways in which queer and gay identities are categorized. They emphasize the importance of starting with a question. Alright, today is Tuesday, August 1st, and I get the opportunity to do a podcast for Queer Theory. I want to talk about so many different intersections today as it applies to Queer Theory, my own lived experiences, my own intersections in terms of race, gender, and sexuality, and how those things are inevitably tied together under the American Empire. First off, I would really like to applaud Dr. Hayes, my classmates, and all of those people who really contributed to me undoing and problematizing the ways in which we categorize or how we categorize what it means to be queer or what it means to be someone who identifies as gay. So, first of all, I think it's extremely important to start off with a question.
