Nothing to say, yet
A group of young adults in St. Louis started a community called Young Adult Formation in West County. They wanted to create a casual and fun environment for young people to connect and make friends. The group has grown to around 600 people and has organized events like a party to celebrate those who got their CPA. They encourage listeners to call in and support Catholic Radio. They also mention a volleyball group at Our Lady of Sorrows and shout out to listeners in Perryville. The hosts ask for donations to reach their goal of $1,250. They mention some donations received so far and describe the appreciation gifts for different pledge amounts. They urge listeners to call in and reach their goal. Liz, I'll start with you. Tell us about the Young Adult Formation. That sounds really interesting, and you guys are all connected with that, right? Yeah. So did you take it from Incarnate Word and then move it to the Archdiocese? Give us a little more information. Sure. So I could talk on and on about this. The two of them definitely know that. So I'll try to keep it concise. But when we all graduated from college around the same time, and we're all exploring what young adult community looked like in St. Louis. And so we found a lot of wonderful groups out there, a lot of people really excited to find friends and to find a community. And so there were a lot of good things going on, but we noticed there was not as much going on in West County, which is where we all lived. So we wanted to start something up out there and just make something very casual, very fun, and just get to do stuff that we like to do together with just great wholesome friends. And so that really took off way more than we expected it to and got really big. When you say really big, how big is really big? What would you guys say? I think the St. Louis Young Adult Group means that around 600 people now. 600? Yeah. That's fabulous. Our biggest event was probably 100, over 100 at the CPA party. Thank you, dollar. We had a party to celebrate everybody who had gotten their CPA, and people came out who weren't even accountants. So yeah, just a great community who was supporting everybody. That's good. You don't want a party of just accountants. Yeah. Well, we're pretty fun. We're a lot more fun than people think. Well, I don't doubt that. I don't doubt that. You guys had some colleagues here yesterday that apparently had a really good time and hit their goals as well. Eric and Sarah, shout out to you and Kristen as well, even though Kristen is a nurse, but they're all very fun. Well, maybe you could ask the three of them to call in and show their support for Catholic Radio, as well as for the three of you being here. Yeah, we would love that. Yeah. Are there others, Joseph, that you'd like to shout out to to encourage them to call in? I know volleyball is a big thing in the young adult community here in St. Louis, so I'd like to shout out to all my friends at Our Lady of Sorrows down the street. Oh, yeah. They play volleyball every Monday, and I'm sure a lot of them are listening right now, so you need to call in at 314-752-7000 or OurCatholicRadio.org. Yeah, please do. 314-752-7000. We're here. We're working towards a goal of $1,250. We've got ourselves 15 minutes left to hit that goal, so no pressure yet. It's only 15 quarter after the hour. We've got time. We've had a few calls come in. I haven't seen what those are here yet, but let's make sure that we have as many people call in as possible to support this wonderful apostolate so we can keep the lights on and keep broadcasting in five states. We broadcast to five states, so right now we're talking to literally hundreds of thousands of people, and so we encourage all of those who are interested in having young adult formation to call in. We've got three wonderful guests here, Liz Buchholz, Joseph Paquette, and Levi Cross, who's taken time out of their busy schedules. They all left to the office, I'm assuming. Did you leave a little early? Did your bosses know you left a little early? That's a nice flexible thing about public accounting is you can kind of leave early. That's wonderful. And get away with it. That's great, but let's all show their support by calling in at 314-752-7000. 314-752-7000. So, hey, how about a couple of normal St. Louis questions that we already found out Joseph went to CBC. Levi, where'd you go to high school? I'm from Perryville, Missouri. Oh, you did? In the south of the Diocese, so I actually went to St. Vincent High School down there. Oh, nice. That's nice. Do you make your way back down to Perryville ever so often? Yes, I was just down there last week, actually, for Father's Day. Oh, nice. That's nice. So are there folks in Perryville that listen to Covenant Radio Network? I think so. There are Catholic radio signs in front of the thrift store. I know my grandma is listening right now, I believe. So, yes, it reaches down that far. With no doubt about it. Yeah, there's a couple of priest friends of mine that are from Perryville area. That's Father Blessing. He's from there originally, and so there's a strong Catholic community down there, and we appreciate all of the listeners from Perryville. But a big shout out to our Perryville listeners. Please dial in, and what number would they call, Levi? 314-752-7000 or OurCatholicRadio.org. Perfect. Levi, I'm going to continue with you with another question. I happened to come across something online that indicated that you were at your old high school not too long ago, helping to, you know, maybe be a vocation type of director, showing what people's like to be a CPA. Yes. Yes, I was very fortunate to go down and do a presentation for St. Vincent High School's Career Day. A shout out to Ms. Louise Webmeyer, who organizes that, along with Mrs. House and our business department down there. They did a great job, and it was really cool. I looped in a little bit about St. Vincent to Paul and his kind of story, and it was great to be in front of the whole high school. Yeah, I bet. So how large is that high school, by the way? You know, we're getting a little smaller, but I think we're hanging on about 40 kids in a grade, I think. Oh, that's great. Well, that's actually good. That's great. That's wonderful. Well, good. All right. Well, so, hey, we got ourselves about 12 minutes before the bottom of the hour. I haven't seen, unless I need to scroll here, on what donations we've had yet. I haven't seen an update yet, but I know we've heard at least five or six calls, right? So, Joseph, give us that phone number again. You do a great job with that. Of course. 314-752-7000, or online at ourcatholicradio.org. All right. So, once again, Liz, Joseph, and Levi taking time out of their busy schedules, 314-752-7000. I think we're going to take a quick break here in just a second. I think we'll take a break here in just a second, but in the meantime, that doesn't mean that our operators are not still standing by to take your calls. So, we'll take a quick break. We'll be right back. Thank you for listening to the Covenant Radio Network's Radiothon Summer 2024. All right. Welcome back to Covenant Radio Network's Radiothon. My name's Tom Lawrence, and we have our guest here. Joining me, we got Joseph Pickett, we got Liz Buchholz, and Levi Cross, all taking time out of their busy schedules to join me. We have a goal of $1,250 by 530, and we have about eight minutes left. We are $400 in. I want to thank a few people who've taken time and made those donations. Erica called from St. Paul and Fenton with a pledge for Liz, Levi, and Joseph. And she states, they are amazing. Thank you for all you do for the community. And then Mom and Dad called from Incarnate Word with a pledge and say hi to Joseph. Hi, Mom and Dad. Perfect. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for making that donation. And then Nancy from St. Michael's in Shrewsbury called with a pledge. She likes listening to the guests, Liz, Levi, and Joseph all the time. Maybe she listened to us last year. Maybe we have a future in radio. I think you do. I don't see why not. And then Doris called from Incarnate Word with a pledge for Liz, and she likes Dr. Ray Grandi and Dr. Grave Popkik. So thank you all for taking. Oh, was that your aunt? Yes, that is my aunt. Oh, that's perfect. We need more relatives to be calling in. And if they were calling in, Joseph, what number would they be calling in to? They would be calling in 314-752-7000 or online at OurCatholicRadio.org. Oh, that's perfect. That's perfect. That's 314-752-7000. We got ourselves about six minutes left, and we have $850 to make up. So please do call 314-752-7000. We need to hit our goal. A tradition that we have here is when we hit our goal, we're able to hit these noisemakers, and there's a couple of other very interesting items on our table that blow up, and we need to make sure that we do that. So we need three or four calls. We're just short version of our level gifts. I'll share that here in a second, but we need at least three or four more calls in order to hit our number. And for those who can pledge $30 a month or one-time pledge of $300, that's called our transmitter package, and you will receive two appreciation gifts if you can donate that item. Two books. One is The Holy Hour with Mother Angelica, and then the second book is Saints Who Battled Satan by Paul Thigpen. And then for $50 a month or about $1.67 a day or one-time pledge of $500 or more, you can be in the golden transmitter package. You'll receive those two books that I just mentioned at the transmitter level, plus a puzzle finding Jesus in the temple, a children's board book, Let Us Pray, which is a fabulous book. Every family should have that. And then the final book is Attaining Salvation, Devout Reflection, and Meditations by St. Alphonsus Liguori. So once again, we are at approximately $400. We got $850 to go. We need those phones to ring. Liz, what's that phone number? 314-752-7000. You can also donate online at rcatholicradio.org. Oh, that's perfect. Thank you much. 314-752-7000. 314-752-7000. Thank you. We need our call. We need to hit our goal for sure. So Levi, tell me more about your relationship, your friendship with Liz, and the time that you guys have now helped build out this young adult, I keep calling it the faith program, because I love the energy and the faith that you guys bring to it. But tell me more about the young adult group and your time with Liz helping to build that out. So I think one of the biggest things that I thought about was, man, it's really cool when people can come to Mass together and see somebody that they know. I know as somebody that isn't originally from this part of St. Louis, that was really key for me. And so I think, you know, our personalities worked really well together while we were kind of leading the group. And I think that was really key. We built a really strong friendship together, and then it kind of just flowed out into, you know, all the stuff we did. And we just had a lot of fun. I mean, that was, we had fun together leading it, you know, and then, and hopefully others shared in that. So, all right, we got three and a half minutes left. Thank you, Levi, for that. We got Levi Cross, Joseph Beckett, and Liz Bulkholtz with us. We have a goal of 1250. We only have 400. We have three and a half minutes left. So we really need, we are strongly encouraging our listeners out there, those out there who enjoy listening to Liz and Joseph and Levi and love the fact of the programming of Covenant Network. Many of you will typically be tuned in at this time for Catholic Answers Live. All the wonderful programming that we provide here on Covenant Network for our fans, for those who absolutely want to develop and have their faith strengthened. In this apostolate, there's second to none on the strength that it can help all of us in our faith. So please call in now. We need at least three, four callers. We are only $400 in. We have a goal of 1250, 314-752-7000. 314-752-7000. We have $700 so far. We need to get a transmitter. So we got a transmitter so far. So that took us to $700. So we got 700 of our 1250. That's fantastic. That's great news. Joseph, what phone number should they be calling? They should be calling 314-752-7000 or online at OurCatholicRadio.org. All right, so we got $700. We're only, we're really, it has one minute left. We got one minute. So please dial in 314-752-7000. We have to keep the lights on here. Our guests Levi, Joseph, and Liz have taken time out of their busy schedules to join us. This is an important apostolate. Please call now. We need you to come in 314-752-7000. We need three or four callers on the line right now. Please call now, or we need a short person to make up the difference. A short person is someone who will call and say, how much do you have left before your goal? And you're happy to make that donation. Please dial in now 314-752-7000 or online at OurCatholicRadio.org. That's O-U-R-CatholicRadio.org. We need three or four callers right now to ring our lines. We've got some wonderful operators standing by. I know all of the operators, and one is my wife. She's wanting to talk to you right now. We have a goal of $1,250. We're at $700. 314-752-7000. 314-752-7000. There's so many wonderful programs on Catholic Radio that we need to keep on the air, and we only do this three or four times a year where we're asking for listeners and those in our community who are just absolutely encouraged by the developing their strength, encouraged by the programming. We don't have too many other options out there to have this kind of programming in our community today, and we need to be able to keep these lights on, and that's why we do these Radiothons three to four times a year. We need your help. 314-752-7000. 314-752-7000. All right. We're approaching the bottom of the hour. I think we're going to take a quick break. Our operators are still standing by for your calls. 314-752-7000. We'll be back just in a few minutes. All right. Welcome back to Covenant Radio Network's Radiothon Summer 2024. My name's Tom Lawrence. I'm the host of this second half hour. So we have a goal of $750 to generate for Covenant Radio Network between now and 555. So we've got ourselves about 20 minutes or so to make that happen. I got three wonderful guests here, Joseph Paquette and Liz Buchholz and Levi Cross, who've done a great job of sharing a lot of their ministry, their faith, but we have this goal of $750, so we need people to please dial in. 314-752-7000. 314-752-7000. And we'll share a little bit about our appreciation gifts. We have the transmitter package for pledges of $30 per month. That's about a dollar a day, or a one-time pledge of $300. And if you are able to do such, you will receive two appreciation gifts, two books, a holy hour with Mother Angelica, which is book number one, and book number two is Saints Who Battled Satan by Paul Thigpen. The next level is the golden transmitter level, which is pledges of $50 a month, or $1.67 a day, or a one-time pledge of $500 or more. You'll get those two books from the transmitter level package, plus a puzzle, Finding Jesus in a Temple, which is very cool, and a children's board book, Let Us Pray, which is also a wonderful thing every family should have. And then the final book is Attaining Salvation, Devout Reflection, and Meditations by St. Alphonsus Liguori. And he wrote that book at 77 years old. Can you imagine that? That's fantastic. And I think he lived well into his 90s, but if you've read anything about St. Alphonsus Liguori, you'll want that book as well. So that's the golden transmitter level. We have a goal of $750 by 555, and once again, Liz, would you mind giving the phone number on what our listeners should call to make a donation to help us get to that $750 level? Sure, 314-752-7000, or you can also donate online at ourcatholicradio.org. Liz, do you have any other shout-outs to people that you know that want to dial in and support Covenant Radio, and anyone in particular or a group of people? Oh, I would say anybody at Reuben Brown, if anybody's listening there. I know we have a great Catholic community at work. So yeah, that'd be a great place, or Incarnate Word Parish as well. That's fantastic. We have had a few that have made a couple of donations for us here in the last half hour. Kyle from the Cathedral Basilica made a one-time pledge online. Do you guys know Kyle? Joseph, do you know Kyle? We play volleyball together. Oh, that's fantastic. Thank you, Kyle. And then Kay and Brian from St. Monica made a one-time pledge for Liz. Yes, that's my aunt and uncle. Thank you. And they would like to pray for health, happiness, and safe travels for their children, which is wonderful. So thank you, Kay and Brian. Colleen from St. Clement of Rome made a one-time online pledge for Levi Cross. She says, Levi, Joseph, and Liz are the best. Oh, thank you, Colleen. You're the best, Colleen. Colleen's the best. And Christopher from St. Mary Magdalene Parish made a one-time pledge, and he says, Joseph, is St. Louis City going to win tonight? Um, I don't know. They haven't been playing too well. Hopefully they can turn it around. They just can't find a back of the net. Yeah, the new striker, I think. Yeah, I was hoping they were going to make that announcement, but I digress. And then Thomas called from Sacred Heart Parish with a transmitter pledge and a prayer request for his uncle, Glennie, for his health. Thomas, we will definitely do that and keep your uncle, Glennie, in our prayers. And then Justin from Incarnate Word Parish made a one-time transmitter pledge as well for Levi, Joseph, and Liz, which is... Thank you, Justin. Fantastic. All right. And then Alex from the Cathedral Basilica made a one-time pledge as well. Thank you, Alex. All right. That's perfect. All right. That's great. Thank you very much for those. Once again, we have a goal of $750 in the next 15 minutes or so, and we are quickly moving in that direction. Hopefully we can get our $750. And I've got Liz Buchholz and Joseph Beckett and Levi Cross. See, I almost screwed that up, Joseph, here. I've been practicing before we got on the air. And it is Beckett, right? It's Beckett. That's Beckett. Thank you so much. Perfect. Hey, let's talk about summer. Liz, what kind of plans you got? You got any vacations or anything this summer? Yes, I'm actually planning a trip out to Colorado. So last year, I got the great blessing to go to Glacier National Park with Father Gerber and a group that he took out there. So he called it a high adventure spiritual retreat. So I'm going to be doing a similar thing out in Colorado this year, and hopefully we can have a similar tone to it where we get to just experience the beauty of God's nature. How big was that group that went out there? So last year, we had about 20. It was a little bit over 20 people. This year, I'm helping actually coordinate the group this year, and there's only going to be like eight or 10 of us. So it should be a little bit easier to coordinate, but it was a wonderful time last year, and I'm sure it will be this year as well. That's great. Are some of those eight or nine people listening here this afternoon? I bet some of them probably are. So I'd love it if you could call in at 314-752-7000, or you can donate at rcatholicradio.org. That's great. Well, that sounds like fun. So that Colorado trip, when are you taking that? That's going to be at the end of July. End of July? Well, have fun with that. There's nothing better than Colorado in the summertime, I don't think. It's just beautiful out there. It's not quite like the humidity and heat here, if you will. Joseph, you got any plans for vacations? Yeah, I got quite a bit, actually. Well, do share. Yeah, first week of July, I'm going to Kansas City to see the U.S. Men's National Team play in Uruguay and Copa America. I'm a soccer fan, so I'm really excited about that. That's great. That's great. Are they playing at Arrowhead then? Yeah, they are. Yeah, it'll be a really good game. And then later this summer, I'm going on a float trip with Levi. Shout out to all of our float trip friends. They should be donating, by the way. They should be donating, by the way. How many people will go on the float trip? I think there's like, what, 20 of us? Yep. Yeah, that's a lot of donations right there. That is a lot of donations, and they should all be listening. By the way, no donation is too small, by the way. We do have a $750 goal, and no one has to call in with the $750, although that'd be nice. But $20, $25, everything helps, for sure, for Covenant Radio Network. 314-752-7000, 314-752-7000. We're meeting here with Liz Buchholz, Joseph Beckett, and Levi Cross. And Levi and Joseph, what is that float trip? Where are you guys going? Eminence, Missouri. We're going to stay at Circle B and float on the Jack's Fork. Oh, the Jack's Fork. Oh my gosh, the Jack's Fork. I mean, both, obviously, that whole area down there is great floating, but Jack's Fork is wonderful. So are you guys camping? We are. Yep. We'll stay at Circle B and then float from Alley Spring back down to the campground. Oh, that's great. Have you guys done that before? Yeah, we did it last year. Oh, you did? I'm surprised Joseph's going back, actually. I am. I'm bringing Karina this time, too. 314-752-7000, I can't let that one go. Why would Joseph not go back, Liz? I don't know. The last time was his first time ever camping, I believe. And we love to have late night conversations, so just the three of us all together all the time. So Joseph had a great conversation with one of our friends. Shout out to Carton, if you're listening. And they stayed up pretty late. So he said it was kind of rough trying to sleep, float down the river on little. It's kind of hard sleeping in a tent when it's 90 degrees outside. That's true, that's true. There's no doubt. Although the cool water of the Jack's Fork does kind of keep it a little cool. Yeah, they have a spring down there. It's very cool. Yeah, what's the name of that spring? Alley Spring. Alley Spring, right, yeah. But isn't it amazing, by the way? Yeah. So I mean, that's the good Lord in action there, for sure. Boy, we can get back to nature and see the blessings of what the Lord has given us in nature. 314-752-7000, and we have a $750 goal. I don't know exactly where we're at against that goal right now, but we've got about 15 minutes left. I got a couple of other people I'd like to say thank you for making your donations. Kristen from Twin Oaks made a one-time pledge online. She says, hey, Liz, Joseph, and Levi, you guys are doing so great. And from Kristen, who was on the radio yesterday. Yes, thank you, Kristen. Thank you, Kristen. Very good. And then Joyce called from Holy Rosary in Warrington with a golden pledge and a prayer for a special intention. So thank you, Joyce, for that special intention, and we'll keep that in our prayers for sure. And Joan called from St. Clements of Rome for Levi. Thanks. So thank you all for your donations. Appreciate that very much. We are heading towards our goal. Once again, I'm not sure exactly where we're at, but that doesn't mean that we've hit our goal by any stretch of the imagination. We got a ways to go, I'm sure, and we got plenty of time to get there. So other than going to Kansas City and going on your float trip, anything else that you have planned? You said quite a bit. Joseph, what else you got going? I go down to Atlanta quite a bit. My girlfriend is down there. So shout out to Karina. I know she's listening right now. Oh, good. Have we heard from Karina? Has she called in? What phone number would she call in if she was to call? You should call 314-752-7000. It would be nice for girlfriends to at least support their boyfriends when they're on the air. Have you called in yet, Liz? No, not yet. She might be working. I don't know. No, really? We need that support. And what was his name? I'm sorry, Levi, I didn't catch the name. David. David. Oh, very nice. Well, I mean, Colleen donated. Colleen did donate and her mom. So go St. Clements. Thank you, St. Clement, for sure. Well, that's great. So you head down to Atlanta every so often. Levi, other than the float trip, what do you guys got planned? So I actually just took a big trip. I just got back from Kansas on a pilgrimage. Oh, really? Yeah. If you're interested at all and you're listening and you like Fr. Emil Capon or if you have any interest, there's a big pilgrimage that I went on. Starts in Wichita and ends at his home parish in Pilsen. I just got done with that. It's about 64 miles. That was my big trip this summer. That's fantastic. Another trip to Door County with my girlfriend's family. So we'll be headed up there. Oh, nice. Right. That's in the Dells. Is that? I am not sure. I think so. I should know. You should ask where you're going. Well, great. Hey, this is Tom Lawrence and we are at Covenant Radio Network and we're well on our way to our goal of 750. We're going to take a quick break right now and we'll be right back. All right. Well, we're back. This is Tom Lawrence with the Covenant Radio Network's Radiothon. I do have some great news. We have now a new goal. We have a new goal of $2,000. So we have already accumulated $1,800 in our total hour. Isn't that fantastic? We should give ourselves at least a round of applause. We can't ring our bells yet, but at least a round of applause. And thank you all of those wonderful, generous donors out there who were able to get us to that number. So we're over $1,800 right now and now we have a new goal of $2,000 in the next 10 minutes. So we got about, oh, about eight minutes actually. We had eight minutes left and all we need to do is get the $2,000 from our $1,800. So if it's $1,800 to $2,000, that's only $200, right? I'm talking to my young accountants here. So we only need $200 more. I got a couple other thank yous. Sam from St. Joseph's in Manchester made a one-time pledge. He says, volleyball excellence and safety. Does that mean anything to you guys? Sam from St. Joseph's. Thanks, Sam. Yeah, thank you, Sam. Thank you, Sam. Volleyball excellence and safety. It was great seeing you at Daily Mass today. Oh, very good. That's great. That's a friend of Joseph's. And then Claire from Sacred Heart and Valley Park made a one-time pledge for Liz. Thank you, Claire. Thank you, Claire. That's wonderful. That's great. All right. So, hey, great news. We have generated over $1,800 for this wonderful apostolate, but we're on our way to $2,000 goal here in the next seven minutes. So that's what we need to do. And we're talking with Liz Buchholz, Joseph Beckett, and Levi Cross, who've taken time out of their busy schedules and calendars to join us. So we're well on our way. That's fantastic news. All right. Last couple questions for you guys. So we already talked about family vacations. We talked about the young adults, the formation. How do you like to spend your free time? So, Liz, what do you do on your free time? This is actually a funny question because whenever people ask me that, I always say my only hobby is socializing. So I love to talk. I love to be with people. That's great. Because I just think that human souls are just so beautiful, and I can't think of any better way to spend my time. So I love to just get to know people and to learn from people and enjoy other people's company. That's fantastic. Well, I bet you are an incredible friend. Is that true, Levi? Is she an incredible friend? Well, Joseph, you're her friend as well. Yeah, yeah. Liz and I have had many conversations going into the early hours of the morning. Oh, yes. And talking about anything under the sun. Well, but isn't that fun? That is great to have that kind of a friendship, right? We're here. Speaking of friendships, we've got a lot of friends out there who love Covenant Radio Network. Please dial in with your support. We're at $1,800. We're on a goal for $2,000, which is absolutely wonderful, wonderful hour here. So we're at $1,800. Going to $2,000 is our new goal that Tony just gave us. 314-752-7000, 314-752-7000. We're looking for someone to help close our gap there. Of only $200 between now and the top of the hour. That's great. Spending free time. Things you like to do. Joseph? Yeah, I like to stay active. I like to go to the gym. I go to the gym about three, four times a week. Yeah, that's great. I play a lot of volleyball. I never played volleyball until I started doing adult stuff, actually. Now I play about three times a week. That's great. Me and Levi have a game tonight, so pray that we win. Where do you guys play? Where is that? Is it regular volleyball, indoor, sand volleyball? What is it? Both. Yeah, so there's an adult organization called Frassati Sports. And that's how I got introduced into volleyball. That's with the Archdiocese of St. Louis, right? Yes, it is. So I caught the volleyball bug. And well, all of us did, really. And yeah, Levi and I are on a team out at a sandbar in West County. So we have a game tonight. So looking forward to that. Oh, that's great. Do you find that you need to be a certain height to be good in volleyball? I mean, because that sure has changed a lot over the years. I feel like a lot of volleyball is just being athletic. The height certainly helps, but no doubt about it. No doubt about it. Well, that's great. Well, thank you for sharing that, Joseph. Levi, how about yourself? How do you like to spend your spare time? You know, I like to play cards. So I've taught a ton of cards. I love cards. Really? Yeah, the card game pitch. A CPA who likes to play cards. Seven point pitch is my thing. Eleven, okay. But yeah, so I've taught almost our whole friend group. And so that's something we do a lot. I didn't like pitch at first. No, I have really. I do. I probably play more than Levi these days. So do you play cards when you go on your float trips as well? We probably will. Probably have two or three decks going. So there's a group of us together. We're probably playing cards at some point, for sure. All in good fun. All in good nature. We got Levi a special gift, a deck of cards for his birthday, actually. Well, do describe the special gift. You can't leave me hanging here. What is it? So we found a picture of Levi that is not the most flattering. And he's just making a funny face. And so we were like, let's see what this would look like printed out 52 times. And so we gave it to him. 54, actually. Oh, 54. Double jokers. And so then at his birthday party, we were showing everybody. And people started taking them as if they were like little party favors. So I was like going around trying to collect them all. So they didn't just get dispersed to the public. Oh, my gosh. Well, that's funny. You've got to take a picture of that and send it in to me at least. Levi, with your permission, of course. Hey, listen, great news. We're at $1,940. We're so close. I don't know if I've ever been that close. $60 and we've got ourselves two minutes. So $60. So if there could be someone to please call and help us ring these bells and basically pay honor and homage to these three folks who spent so much time spending their hard earned efforts to get here and spend time and help raise money for Catholic Radio. $1,940. We're $60 shy. $60 shy. I'm going to pledge $60 that we don't get somebody on the line here real soon. We want to ring these bells. 314-752-7000. 314-752-7000. Please call in and support Covenant Network. Liz, that's the right phone number, is it? Say it again for us. And how would they donate online? 314-752-7000. You can also donate online at ourcatholicradio.org. Perfect. Joseph, have you had your girlfriend call in yet? Did she? I don't think she has. Okay, gosh darn it. Levi? Jack. That's perfect. We did have one other donor that I want to make reference to and thank and give our appreciation. St. Alban Road Parishioner made a donation in memory of Jack Whelan. So thank you very much. And Jack Whelan is a great guy and I do appreciate that donor from St. Alban Road Parish, which is my home parish, which is wonderful. So thank you for that. All right, what are you most thankful for? That's going to be our last round robin here from the last, you got 10 seconds. What are you most thankful for, Liz? The relationships in general, whether it's my family who raised me well and formed me very well and the friends that I met along the way who have just been able to walk with me and challenge me even further. Thank you for, we just got a donation online. That's wonderful. Joseph, what are you most thankful for? I am most thankful for my Catholic faith. Oh, that's wonderful. That's perfect. Another donation online. It's either that or we're just, when you finish it, we're getting the tone, but I think that's our donations online. All right, Levi, what are you most thankful for? I think it's witnesses in my life. Father Emil Capon, all the sisters that I had in high school, Sister Marilyn, Sister Rosemary, my grandma. So. Oh, that's great. That's great. Well, I am most thankful for the three of you for spending such wonderful quality time with me. You've been so gracious and once again, I can't thank you enough for taking time out of your busy schedules to show your support for Covenant Radio Network. We've done a great job. I think we're almost at our goal. I'm hoping that someone gives us a heads up. We could get close to our goal. Are we close, Tony? All right, so we're not quite there yet, but we've got a couple of seconds. So 314-752-7000. So I know we were $60 shy. I think we're still just a few dollars shy. If we could have someone call in with just one small donation, 314-752-7000, this is a great hour. This could be one of the biggest hours so far in our radio time. So this is fantastic. So we all feel really great. We just need to bridge the gap a little bit at 314-752-7000. 314-752-7000. I'm going to keep repeating this. Joseph, what's that phone number? It is 314-752-7000. Levi, anything else you want to shout out to anyone to help us bridge that gap? My cousin Rachel just texted. She said, when? Right now. So the number is 314-752-7000. Rachel, we're going to wait for your call. Please call in. 314-752-7000. 314-752-7000 is what we're waiting for. And hopefully we'll get that. All right. All right. Any other updates? There was that phone call. Perfect. I think we're going to hit our number. We're waiting for our final call. This will be great. One way or the other, this is going to be great for sure. Two calls. Perfect. That's exactly what we need. What an apostolate this is. How often do you listen to Covenant Radio, Joseph? I grew up listening to Covenant Radio. Oh, that's fantastic. That's fantastic. It was always on when I was in the car with my family. So I've heard Covenant Radio quite a bit. All right. Ladies and gentlemen, I am so happy, so delighted. I think it's one of the biggest ones. We are here to celebrate. We hit our goal. We hit our goal. Adam just went through, dressed as a full life-size figure of one of our blow-up animals there. Thank you, Adam, for that. I don't know. How do you get in that thing, let alone how do you get out of it? Thank you to all of our donors. All right. Well, thank you to our donors so much. I don't have the names of the last two callers, but we'll get there here in just a second. We always end our pledge hour here from the 5 to 6 o'clock with the Angelus. So if you could please pray that with me in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women. And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it done unto me according to thy word. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women. And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. And the word was made flesh. And dwelt among us. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women. And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray. Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, thy grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, made by his passion and cross, be brought to the glory of his resurrection, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen. In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, thank you to all our donors who made this hour a fantastic hour. We raised over $2,000 for Covenant Radio Network. My special thanks to Liz Buchholz, Joseph Beckett, and Levi Cross. Thank you so much. You're an inspiration to me. I love your faith. I love your energy. Keep it going. Help spread the good news. And thank you all for listening to Covenant Radio Network, Radiothon 2024.
