Chloe McArdle has completed her first of seven English Channel swims in an attempt to break the world record. Liz Cambage withdrew from the Games due to mental health concerns, but there are also allegations of incidents and poor behavior. Mental health is an important issue, but it would have been better if she took responsibility for her actions. Also guys, just quickly, still on the hero, Chloe McArdle, she's just finished her first of seven English Channel Swims in this current batch that she's trying to do because she's going to break the world record of Channel Crossing. So the current world record is 43, she is now on 38, so well done, she finished that about an hour ago. My villain was mentioned actually by one of our listeners, Liz Cambage, who withdrew from the Games and she cited mental health concerns, she claims she struggled to sleep and eat over the past month, but, and her withdrawal followed bombshell reports that were all coming out on Friday that she was involved in several alleged incidents that are all being investigated by Basketball Australia, it included a physical altercation during a friendly match with Nigeria. She also reportedly broke the biosecurity bubble by going out in Las Vegas. She denies that, but that is what is being alleged. Her behavior is said to have upset teammates, officials, to the point where they were actually discussing sacking her, and then she came out and withdrew, citing mental health, and for me, I just think mental health is such a significant issue in the community, it sort of takes away the seriousness when an athlete, or anyone really, uses it as an example for poor behavior, and obviously if she's suffering, I hope she gets the help she needs, but it probably would have been good if she just came out and said that she had stuffed up or whatever had happened, rather than citing mental health. I couldn't agree more JR, good on you, that's a good nomination.
