The Reading Hall of Fame was founded in 1973 to enhance reading instruction. It addresses current reading issues and suggests solutions through open discussions. Nominees must have at least 25 years of experience and be nominated by current members. Introduction to the Reading Hall of Fame. The Reading Hall of Fame was established in 1973. Its goal is to contribute to further improvement in reading instruction. One way to do so is by facing current issues in reading and discussing them in open forum suggesting possible solutions. Members who are nominated to the Reading Hall of Fame need to have at a minimum of at least 25 years of experience. New members are nominated each year and have to be nominated by members of the Reading Hall of Fame.
