The hosts of "Influence the Influence" talk about their preferences for different fruits, such as peach cobbler, watermelon, and strawberry shortcake. They also discuss their opinions on dried fruit, trail mix, and their favorite nuts. They briefly mention tropical fruits like star fruit and dragon fruit. They end the conversation by thanking listeners and teasing a special episode with a secret code. Good afternoon folks, this is Influence the Influence with your host Paul and your co-host Brian B, the notorious Brian B. We wanted to change things up a little bit today, so we're just going to be talking about fruits. Yeah, we're just going to be ripping all day about fruits for the next five minutes because we were just, you know, excited about talking about peach cobbler for some reason. And I was like, you know what, I only like peach cobbler when it's made the right way, when it's got that right pinch of cinnamon. And this is one thing that Brian and I seem to disagree on, man, but I love watermelon. Nothing like an ice cold watermelon whenever summer comes and temperatures start rising. He doesn't really care for it. It's got to be made in a specific type of way. It's got to be like either cut into cubes or triangles. It's got to be sugared or it's got to be a party watermelon with liquor in it. You know, just one of those things that makes it different. Oh man, I love those little Smirnoff shots you can buy at the gas station. They got some fruit flavors, but you know, I don't drink very often, but on occasion it's just really nice to wind down for a night and relax. And you know, I do find comfort. I find that there's a lot of comfort foods that are fruit flavored that I enjoy. But I think above that, what I would really die for right now, some strawberry shortcake. Here's a good tip for you. Raisins. I love them. Raisins? Oh man. I love raisins. Sun-dried stuff like sun-dried tomatoes, sun-dried raisins. They're not my thing. I prefer plums over prunes. Those are the sun-dried ones, right? Yeah, I'm not huge on sun-dried stuff, man. Yeah. What can I say? I just like the versatility of having a dry snack you can take with you on a hiking trail. The only thing is though, people have been misusing the raisin by putting it in shit it don't belong in. I don't know, man. So I don't care for raisins too much, but I'll tell you, good trail mix whenever I'm going out hiking with my pals. Yeah. It's pretty good. It's a refreshing snack. It's really light. It's healthy. It's a good blend of different kinds of nutrients that your body might not usually take, but I also love peanuts. I love cashews. I got a story about trail mix, man. I was in the field for two weeks and all I had in my pack with my boys when we were out in the field was trail mix. Oh, that'll burn you out quick, huh? Yep, and it was the worst shits I've ever taken in my life after eating only trail mix, my dude. I was like a deer in the woods. Constantly shitting, huh? Yeah, it's so much fiber and mainly after the first couple of days, all the M&Ms are gone. So yeah, it's basically just M&Ms. Oh, you picked through them, man? You gotta get a taste for the consistent blend. If you're eating trail mix, you just grab it. By a handful? No, if anything, you want to pick out the M&Ms and save them for last. I'm super OCD like that. I'll try to eat the raisins first because I'm not super huge on them. I prefer just nuts and chocolate. The cashews? Yeah, I'll save those as well. Yep, I love the cashews. Cashews are my favorite, man. Honey roasted peanuts in there too? Over here in Springfield, man, the home of cashew chicken. We got Leong's and a couple other Chinese restaurants. Back on the topic of tropical fruit, I like that. Tropical fruit? Star fruits. Star fruits? I've never had those. Have you ever had dragon fruit? I know I'm making you shit yourself, but dragon fruit tastes so good, man. I've had durian fruit, I've had dragon fruit. And folks, don't knock on dragon fruit until you've actually tried the real stuff. Dragon fruit flavored drinks? Nah, that's not the way to go. It tastes like trying to eat Sunny D through a Ziploc bag for a dragon fruit. Legitimately, trying to eat Sunny D. I've never tried that, but I would imagine that would be somehow ten times less refreshing than just drinking it out of a cup, you know, like a normal person. Yeah, you bite into a star fruit. It doesn't even matter if it's ice cold fresh orange juice. If you try to filter that through a bag, that's just not going to work. Nah. At least with the big fruit, oranges in general, like, I'm not big on oranges. I love orange flavored stuff, though. Orange juice is good. Mountain Dew Live Wire, that stuff kicks ass. Yes. That's my favorite Mountain Dew flavor, that and Baja Blast, the Taco Bell exclusive. Yep. Anyways, folks, we're nearing the end of our speech here, or conversation, rather, and we would like to thank you for joining us in Influence the Influence, Episode 5. More to come with Paul LaRose and Brian B., the notorious Brian B. Enjoy our every fifth episode. We're going to be having a special riff, and we're going to be, you know, kind of embedding some secret code in there that you guys can decipher any time, but at the same time, we're just going to leave it at that. Thank you very much for your time, and thank you for listening in to Influence the Influence. Think for yourself, folks, and have a wonderful night.
