Nicole interviews her great-grandma about receiving the sacrament regularly. She feels happy, at peace, and prepared by praying and going to confession. Her best experience was confirmation. After receiving the sacrament, she feels peaceful and blessed. Nicole admires her great-grandma's faith based on experience and family traditions rather than education. She suggests following her example. Do you receive this sacrament regularly? If so, how often and why? I do. Every time I go to church, I go to Mass, I will receive it. Probably every week. Yes. What are your feelings, usually, before you receive this sacrament? You're happy, you're at peace, and you just... Real happy. You feel happy for having Jesus help you. How do you prepare yourself to receive this sacrament? Well, you pray to God and ask for forgiveness, and if you have any bad things, you go to confession before you receive a little bit. Can you think of a particularly good experience of this sacrament that you have had? Yes. My bad experience was confirmation. I was very young, but I remember that we all were dressed in long, white dresses. We had a procession. We went all around the church, and then afterwards, we had a reception where we all had cookies and hot chocolate. How do you usually feel after receiving this sacrament? I feel at peace, and I feel happy and blessed. This is Nicole, and I'm going to be talking about my interview with my great-grandma. To me, this interview was something different that I wasn't really expecting, because she doesn't have the same views, I suppose, as we do, given the fact that we've gone through all of this education provided at the school. She's going based off of memories and family traditions that she followed throughout her time on this planet. I think that her standpoint on it is admirable, because she's basing most of her faith off of experience and how she was raised, rather than education, such as we do. So, for that reason, I think that we should follow in the footsteps of her.
